Very important will be to avoid fast sellings for little profits. In previous years I heard people selling BTC at a few dollars and missed the entire bullrun after they sold. They would now be very rich, but they sold all BTC very early and are now not rich.

Year is almost over and BTC is fortunately still number one. It would be very concerning if XRP become place one and would also be total unreasonable to overtake BTC. BTC has issues, but XRP has far more issues and this makes XRP way too overvalued in my opinion.

50$ is really really low for ETH. It's back to 120$ again but I'm not sure if it's already the low ETH needs to start a next run. In addition, I think ETH is related to BTC and if BTC takes another low ETH will follow and does also mark a new low.

Such phases like we are now into are indeed a very good situation to look out for new promising coins which have become cheap during the bear market. But everyone has be carefully to avoid buying dead coins. I discovered a picture here and posted it:

I agree, ETH has brought many people into crypto explaining them the system of a decentralized economic development. The first steps are always the most important ones and ETH made a big contribution to offer such possibilities to the normal people.
Many won't have joined if ETH wouldn't be in place.

I expect for this update to be delayed much longer, but if it is finally implemented ETH will profit a lot. I hope for accumulating enough ETH to be able to do a stake, but it requires 32 ETH, I don't have 1 ETH even now, lol.
Accumulating ETH is a good attempt to gain a profit for later. 

I agree, BTC will leave the bear market as leading crypto and BTC dominance is more than 50 percent of all coins. If you have a look at this: BTC on the one side and over 2,000 other cryptos on the other side, it's clealy positive to Bitcoin.

A fast bull market like it was in 2017 is very unlikely to see in 2019 as entire event. There will be time periods, when price will do well next year, but a side trend during the whole year 2019 seems more realsistic. It requires a very long and boring sidewarts period to find a bottom.

End of 2018 means in a few days, I see huge potential in ETH, but triple price in a few days is not very likely. In 2019 we will see 300$ again, but maybe in summer or later.
Having patience will pay out in HODLing ETH.

The last few days were very positive for Ethereum (ETH) and price increased by almost 60%. That's a big sign for ETH to have a claim for taking back the second position on coinmarketcap. XRP overtook ETH a few weeks ago and this fast reaction of ETH would be a positive sign for the entire crypto community. It was always a questionable move that XRP could overtake ETH and the recent price trend would back the importance of ETH as second crypto behind ETH.
For XRP, being very overvalued, this can result in another problem and damage of trust. In opposite, ETH was very undervalued based on it's use-case and offers an opportunity to buy some cheap ETH.

What's your opinion on this issue? Will ETH surpass XRP and stay in second place?
 

Ofcourse recover is realistic. History of Bitcoin was always some sort of dump and slowly recover and situation can be possible to recover again. It's important to have useful cryptos such like BTC or ETH because if a currency is hyped price won't recover maybe.

ETH is a big currency for sure and since it has a use-case for ICO ETH being used for future projects in a high rate.

Yes, top coins are an indicator to invest in a valuable coin, considering coinmarketcap is really useful to invest. But among the top coins are also overvalued shitcoins like Ripple, BCash, BSV and Teter I won't buy because it's a dangerous investment. If you know the shitcoins you can easily avoid them.

Lmaoo, why do you get this conclusion? It's not true that ETH is dead and all ICOs. You have to consider that many scams affected the market. 

Clinton News and Trump TV are no "insiders", it's just misinformation. 2018 in 4 words: Trump TV and Clinton News are dead.

BCash is already very damaged. Who knows if BCH will not fork again and have another hash-war if some members of the team do not agree to development. Starting always forks when you disagree isn't a solution and will split value of the forked coin.

Ofcourse a scammer can affect ETH price in a very bad way. Stolen ETH from a scammer can be sold and if it's a lot of ETH, price will dump. But it has to be a very big number of ETH to affect ETH price. Like if a scammers hacks a big exchange.

In 2018 many ICO were a blatant scam, but also good investments where you got lots of profits. I will stay interested to search for good investments and new projects are always a good opportunity to make profits, but it's also high risk.
Fraud ICO's don't need to reach a softcap, scammers like all money collected and take it even if it's not softcap
