The only reason I have Decred is because it can be merge mined with Ethereum...that itself doesn't contribute to the discussion here but I think that it's probably important to note that a lot of the network strength in Decred comes from ETH merged-mining.
Not technically "merge mining", as Decred does not have aux-pow and eth uses another pow algo... however, I agree. The dual miner does contribute significantly to our network's security. |

In addition to the premine, the devs get a subsidy on each block mined. So its self funded, sort of. Since the subsidy is not like a premine that devs can dump and flee, but is paid on each block, there is an incentive for the coin to do well and keep doing well for years The devs do NOT get a subsity every block... The development organization does, which is moving to decentralized control. The organization (decred) funds itself. Oh, I assumed the dev organization was the dev team! So. if that's not the case, who are the people behind the organization? For now, Jake, the CEO of c0 administers the dev funds (he doesn't spend much). The development funds will be moved to decentralized control as we convert to a full fledged Decentralized Autonomous Organization. |

This time is no different. My best advice is to buy each dip with a percentage of your capital (not all in). That way, if it goes lower, you can buy that dip too (averaging down) i will, what price do you think dcrd will stabilize on? Don't predict, react! No one knows what price it will stabilize on. I feel like .01 will act as strong psychological support... .012 should act as technical support. But no one knows to be totally honest with you. That's why i recommend averaging down. |

what's the reason for this huge dump of dcr? any idea... i think the price went too fast high, and now who have accumulated is dumping, there are users with pelnty fo decred and they can dump at this price for massive profit, do you know that the dev hold 800k decred? lol 800k at 0.02 is 16k bitcoins, why he should hold tell me? i would not be surprised if he started dumping too Devs are contractually obligated to hold all coins for two years... that period of time has not expired. They will gain access to their coins in about 11 months from now. They split the premine with the community to encourage early adoption... In the end, it will only be < 5% of the supply. Aside from this fact, they are well known / respected for their long work history in the bitcoin community. If you think these guys care about 8k btc, think again. They are early adopters  What makes you think that they will dump? I would think they will stake their coins and use the interest to pay back Company0 for the 60-70kusd per month they pay to the developers to work on Decred full time. |

#1 i never got my "airdrop" coins because the devs are greedy bastards! ~ #2 DCR is up the ass of bittrex which is going the way of cryptsy doxxing it's users/locking accts etc you know your coins will be locked forever etc ... be aware be safe ask questions! :\ #1 The Devs distributed an enormous number of coins to the community. me too, im suprised that people are still shocked about a dump after a huge pump. its completly normal, people start to panic and sell all their coins, some bought very early and just think 15x profit is enough. the real question is, has this coin a good tech and a bright future? most pros here say yes, i tend to agree so im gonna believe them. +1000 BULLieve |
