1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BITCREDIT on: January 05, 2016, 12:07:13 AM
Sounds like a premine dump warning. Thanks!

Thank you for totally ignoring your 8-bit thread for 2 weeks, your own community will be glad for it , in the meantime spreading lies in the self-made fake bitcredit thread, karma will get be sure of it, trolls die young.

Are you trying to explain something? Please elaborate.

BTW I am 8BIT holder, not developer. BITCREDITS dev has attacked 8BIT community so I am here. It's just a beginning, grab your popcorn please.

Please give it a rest man.  I've left you alone and you know how hard that has been for me...

Move on.  If you are just an 8-bit holder, please let the community know.  People still think you are the dev.

I don't feel attacked by Bitcreditscc or his community.  Seems like you've stirred the pot and they are getting upset...

Let's go our separate ways 8-bit-party.  Let's focus on 8-bit.

Fuck you. Thanks.

I thought you were just some kid for a while based on your behavior, but your taste in music suggests otherwise.  It's really a shame that a grown man behaves the way you do.

Maybe you are just a troll...but definitely not a good one.  Shoot me a pm if you want to learn the art Wink

And Fuck me?  Watch me hold my 20k and growing 8-bit until the day I die, just to ruin you when you try and pump it.  I'm talking straight up sell to market dump.  All at once.  Get a life.

Patience pays it seems.

Look at the price since November. Up 5x. Buy support at record high today. And still only 50k USD market cap.

Let's get this coin changed over to PoS. Markussss? You said it would be a good idea Smiley I trust it's in the plans.
PoS before new version is released would be huge.

Yes!!!  That would be incredible.

As one of the largest Qtl holders, I am definitely ok with the direction the coin is moving.

As Yoyo pointed out, the price is up 5x since November and this coin has been around for a while.

The legendary dev has delivered every time and we all trust in him to do the same this time around.

Have a little patience and a little faith.  You will still make money buying at 2,500 satoshi.

I thought it has a road map and improved QTL trader is the destination.

Where is the road map then?

A road map contains for example:
--------------------------------
Feature A  @ January 2016

Feature B  @ February 2016

Feature C  @ March 2016

...and so on

This would allow to see whether development goals are met. Also there is too little interaction with the community at the moment.

Stop being such a fucking noob.  Roadmaps are for scamcoins.

Edit:  Just looked at your post history...  I guess you are the roadmap bandit.  LOL

Well, according to the parameters of the issue became much clearer, thank you.
About the mining program, it already is? (Radeon cards), and does not differ from the Blakecoin (BLC)?  Decred address already possible generate somewhere?

It does differ from Blakecoin.  Blakecoin uses 8 round blake-256, which sacrifices an acceptable level of security for speed.

Decred will be using 14 round blake-256, which is overkill for security but still fast.

Both nvidia and ati cards seem to do pretty well with blake-256

It's a long term project, what's the rush?  I bet you don't even own one percent of the supply.

%3 actually, I've mined over 20 000 blocks, thats why I have waited patiently for months.  Thats my contribution for now.

As I said earlier,

Please do what is promised, before promising more.  That is all I am asking!

I don't want to fight.

That wasn't even directed at you...

Thank You,
Viz.
YOU was asking community  few time,  before update about improvement.
YOU make promises about timeline.
At least , community deserve apologize from you.
help is asking , not offer.

Sure it would be nice to have the resources of say IBM behind nexus and watch it pop into instant maturity....

to fix loading problem with wallet ? after 6 months ?

They have said the next release will fix this...

Stop your whining, the dev team isn't on your payroll.

If you want hype, you're in the wrong place.

Do you really want a half ass release right now?  It's better to wait.

It's a long term project, what's the rush?  I bet you don't even own one percent of the supply.

Signed up for the airdrop! Some background, I was interested in MC2 PoS+PoW way back. Really glad ingsoc messaged me that the project is finally a reality.

Also could someone post the Hero member signature data in a pastebin?

My mouse has some issues and I can't copy and past the whole thing.

Yeah man.  I'll do it when I'm off mobile in an hour or so if no one else has.

@dbt1033

Does high hashoutput per watt really have an effect on security? I thought because of difficulty, it wouldn't matter.

I'd say it's more of an efficiency thing...

Look at the Wikipedia page on "law of large numbers" to see why it benefits miners.

The fact that GPUs do so well with the blake-256 algo does make it more difficult to attack the network with botnets.

Think about it.  You get gh/s on a gpu...  That's a lot of hashpower for very little electricity.

A tip for miners:  blake-256 isn't very memory intensive, so under clock your gpu memory to improve mining efficiency.

Ok I'm in. Let's do this.

I dont know if I should run or buy more now.

I dunno.... I mean.... If I were you i'd be buying. Looks like up to me.

I thought I smelt a whale or two in here.
Welcome bob.

Bro please stop smelting the whales...  It hurts

I don't get it. What does smelting have to do with whales?

Did you or did you not say that you smelt a whale?

Whales don't like being treated like ore.

1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BLC] Blakecoin Blake-256 for GPU/FPGA With Merged Mined Pools Stable Net on: December 31, 2015, 09:41:32 PM
Merged of coins still alive? Kind of like a new coin - [DCR] Decred release and Blake, or am I wrong?

they would need the same 8 round Blake-256 and same wallet hashing + auxpow

they have been asked and said:

Hi there, BlueDragon747.  While you make some compelling arguments for using 8 or 10 round Blake256 instead of 14 rounds, we are not interested in having Decred merge mined with other Blake256 coins.  This choice was intentional and 14 rounds was chosen to be be conservative about security.

so no merge mine(auxpow) and using 14 round Blake-256 = it can never be merged with current coins on pools!

That really is a shame...

Auxpow is the future.

GW3 is back on twitter... too bad I dumped all mine a long time ago  lol

Mike knows sync is R3kt...

Give him a little credit; He did a lot to prop this coin up but things didn't work out as he had planned.

Mike IS the Sync Foundation.  He is as R3kt as they come with sync.

But this is a dead coin.  It's over.  Be careful.

Decred is 14 round blake-256...  Blakecoin is 8 round.  I don't think they can be merged

So...what makes one scammer better than the other?

Just because Bitspender is sketchy, that doesn't mean he can't comment on other sketchy people...

Ok so Spots is doxx'd...  I'm sure this information was obtained from a public place.  That's Spot's problem.  Not Bitspender's.

I have Nvidia gtx 970 , gpu miner for Nvidia is released ? .

No miner released yet. The miner is a fork of an older version of cgminer with a rewritten kernel. It's been built for both AMD and NVIDIA cards, but it's likely that an optimized miner for NVIDIA cards will take a little finesse and a fork of ccminer.

I hope you guys can port this to FPGA like Blakecoin.  I understand that it's not the same iteration of Blake-256, but FPGA mining would be excellent for Decred.

People don't realize just how promising Blake-256 is for the long run.  It's fast, secure, and easy / cheap to manufacture asics for when the time comes.

For the time being, it should help people to maximize mining returns due to its low power consumption and high hash output / watt.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_large_numbers

High hashrate per watt is always a good thing and having one secure algo rather than a chained algo like X11 was the right call.

I personally would like to see 8 round Blake-256 used so merge mining with the other coins using Blake-256 would be a possibility, but regardless, I'm excited about your project and the possible implications it will have for crypto as a whole.

I pulled this from the Blakecoin thread to elaborate on the advantages of the Blake-256 algo:

Advantages

Design
• simplicity of the algorithm
• interface for hashing with a salt

Performance
• fast in both software and hardware
• parallelism and throughput/area trade-off for hardware implementation
• simple speed/confidence trade-off with the tunable number of rounds

Security
• based on an intensively analyzed component (ChaCha)
• resistant to generic second-preimage attacks
• resistant to side-channel attacks
• resistant to length-extension"
