Well we need to get more stuff going. Any ideas? Why not use some of those funds to make a staking wallet that donates proceeds to a charity?

I'm going to be uploading the first stage of updates if anyone wants to test them out. I've not built it for Windows yet, but if anyone wants it, just let me know and I'll whip one up quick. If you can compile yourself, the new Alpha Github Repo is located here: https://github.com/DigiCubeCrypto/DigiCube-DevelopmentChangesWay too many to start listing. The main thing of note for this release is a major change to the way databases work. I have upgraded it to use leveldb for some more changes we have planned in the coming days. I am only posting this version so people can be ready with the new blockchain database system for the next updates. This is a complete overhaul of the base code with many changes and many, many rewritten lines. This means that the blockchain database will be handled differently, more efficiently (I hope). When using this wallet for the first time, you must sync from block 1. However, you do not need to remove any files at all, it will not overwrite the current blockchain if you want to go back to the old wallet. Both the new and the current versions of the blockchain will be stored in the same folder and use the same wallet.dat. If you have any issues, try renaming wallet.dat to something else until you are fully synced, then close the wallet and rename the wallet with funds on it to wallet.dat This is Mango. I'm at like 60% synced with it wrong account? lolz... Was thinking the same thing...although I initially thought it was someone else.

Just so everyone knows, I have been speaking with Bill at Bittrex about addition and this is his concern. I've had a trusted consultant of ours say that they got rejected by you for their free coins which in my mind casts significant doubt on what you are doing Whoever is lying to them about not getting their coins.... you, sir, are a straight up douchebag. Whoever did receive their coins, please email support@bittrex.com and let them know you received your coins as were promised. Whoever is lying to exchanges, stop being an asshole, pleaseWell it sure ain't me I only use C-CEX only and I bought them all there. I am pretty pissed off that one person lying to exchanges can stop an entire group of people from having a new place to trade, very disappointing I would like to know as well since I was behind this coin from day 1 haven't sold just bought. This coin has great potential and you as the the dev have put your heart and soul into this. I think cube would make a great gambling coin what with a 5% return daily the punters and the casinos would benefit. Yes, and now one person is abusing their trust with Bittrex to be selfish and lie to them about us. Seriously.... (and I hate this word, but....) fuck this person for trying to ruin all our hard work. Fuck you sideways Why not put the remaining airdrop funds in trusted escrow to clarify your intentions, then give trex another shot?

Since the bounty balance keeps getting lower and lower, I think it is OK if it starts staking. However, I know that others would be opposed to this. Maybe the dev should set up a poll, soon, to see if the community approves of the bounty wallet to start staking, so we can keep the signature campaign alive. Maybe, it's premature now. At the current rate, how soon will the bounty wallet run out of funds?
The bounty is a method of distribution. I think it should stay like that. After the coins for the bounty have been distributed, this distribution should be over. Just my 2 cents. A lot of people in the sig campaign are not serious about digicube. They sell the cube for easy btc rather than staking it. This creates constant sell pressure on the market. We've had the highest volume (normally 10x second place) on c-cex since being listed, I don't think liquidity is an issue Volume can be faked I'm ready for movement Not to knock what you are doing. I've run a permanent node for digicube on my aws server since the day you gave me some. Plenty of people are ONLY about the btc from the sig campaign. I like it for the time being, but realistically, there must be an end to it. Your coin, your call though. You've gotten us this far, and that says a lot.

so it was pointless for me to send my address to the DEV then?
Because you read on a third grade level...I'll answer this one for you. Yes.

http://104.238.176.251:6001/richlistSo the developer has almost 40% of the supply? Funny ppl accept this. I bet not so many would accept a newly launched coin with a 40% premine for bounties. Guess attitudes change once you become a stake holder, even if the stake you acquire is relatively minuscule. I guess it's because it doesn't matter when there is no investment. I haven't invested so I can't loose so it makes no difference to me if dev has 40% of the coins now. Bingo! Don't ever complain about something that is free. Hell, you can sell them on the market now and come out a winner.

Never got coins dev...pm'd you my address again

and reward ? is this a scam coin ?
Legendary / Staff - 50 Hero - 25 Sr. - 10 Everyone else - NOTHING Don't know enough to label as scam... I do like the distribution model, but I'm biased

Who do we PM our address to for the coins ?
To Digicube. Still waiting on mine, but it looks like he's been pretty good about sending them out. I can't believe that original thread was deleted. That's bullshit. The Op clearly stated to pm him addresses. Not his fault that a bunch of noobs posted in the thread.

I don't care about the value... I just want to see development resume.
This coin has been stagnant for weeks now.
Offer you have shown is an opportunity to exit (to BCR then to BTC), new development is just an option. Everyone here can buy BCR anytime without looking back at 8BIT... So if you believe BCR is a good investment you should buy BCR. Otherwise if you swap your 8BIT to BCR you will dump those BCR (to BTC) immediately. That's obvious. If any development will happen, it will happen in BCR. So it's not a question of development resume or still being stagnant, it's a question of still being stagnant or end of life of this (8BIT) coin. As you are one of creators of the state we are at this moment your answer will be extremely precious. Share it with us. Thanks! If I were looking to exit, swapping to BCR wouldn't do anything for me. There isn't enough liquidity in the market to exit profitably. I'm not looking to dump. This is just a hobby of mine. I've made plenty and lost plenty, as have we all. I'm in favor of the swap because it's our only option on the table, and at least BCR has very active development/ future potential.

Hive is dead?
It was never alive...still enjoyed cpu mining a coin. Always a good time. Dev hasn't even logged in since the 8th though

As I understand it, bitcreditscc made a generous offer to absorb this coin and others into his system. Considering that you want masternodes (we call our basenodes) and a dev who actually produces things, i'd encourage you to talk to him again and find out if it's still open.
What are you talking about? Could you please elaborate it? Sent you a PM

what's happening guys? Is it working yet? Nothing yet... swap..................................? Swap would be great if we can get a swap with a coin that has masternodes or something that we can use for gaming tournaments. As I understand it, bitcreditscc made a generous offer to absorb this coin and others into his system. Considering that you want masternodes (we call our basenodes) and a dev who actually produces things, i'd encourage you to talk to him again and find out if it's still open. 100% agreed Doesn't this offer mean losing the brand of 8bit, and in general losing the identity of the coin..? I don't think there is a better option on the table.

That proves absolutely nothing considering that can be changed on the profile page. Keep hoping though guys........ It is you that has no proof. Only speculation. We don't have proof either... just speculating. HIVE is probably a scam... but you've been around here a while so you know how the game goes. Hell...CRAVE was a huge scam. But people made a lot of money by exiting at the right time. Shitcoin or not.... just about all coins are these days. I'm always looking for the next CRAVE. Why are you even arguing, when the "dev" has not even responded to these allegations? Are you part of it? I'm not arguing with some fool in a forum. I openly admitted this was probably a scam. I think it's sketchy too. But I know too little at this point to point fingers. Because you made such a hilarious meme for me, here's one for you: Calm the fuck down Chicken Little!

a wallet using 100% of your cpu with only 2 peers has no future... seems even worst than axiom
if a cpu miner can only do 100H/s, that means the wallet can also only accept 100 blocks max per second (during sync), and its worst than that
Its what i call a cpu resistant algo :p well... not efficient
I have over 60 peers...and the hashrate is irrelevant because there are PoS and PoW blocks. My wallet syncs pretty quickly....not the fastest but not the slowest by any means. Is this the next big thing? Probably not... but I had a good time finding some blocks with my cpu. Dev said he has some kind of plans...just waiting to see what happens
|
|
|
And please explain about block reward
scam Proving even "hero" members can be idiots. - 1,000,000 HIVE for the first 10,000 PoW blocks with 100 HIVE each being mined during the first week followed by 1 HIVE PoW rewards indefinitely.
Rewards exactly as laid out in the first post. The wording in the OP is a little confusing...leads one to believe that there will be 10,000 PoW blocks. The supply will actually be a lot less than stated in the OP. 100 HIVE PoW blocks ended on block 10,000 and 10 HIVE PoS blocks end at 20,000.
