141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon released RX 480. on: June 15, 2016, 03:12:11 PM
The trick is to swap my aging cards out and purchase the new ones with little to none downtime.  Coins mined per day drops so much within a week now.  The energy savings hopefully will help a little.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon released RX 480. on: June 09, 2016, 03:12:37 PM
That's why it may be good to get these when they're released and not wait a month or so.  At these initial prices I can finally stop buying over priced last gen cards...   at least for awhile.
Can't wait to check performance.

145  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB][EU] Eth rig at 8$/mh on: June 01, 2016, 05:18:08 PM
It's far cheaper to piece them part for part than to buy complete.  Older amd mobo and cpu running linux and at least 8gb ram and your good.  I don't think too many will be selling rigs for awhile.  Profitability is still there for Ethereum.

You can check ico's at icocountdown.com.
147  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 01, 2016, 03:02:02 AM
Nice!  Impressive specs. which equate to timing of release.  So you may be close to roi by or just after halving but what then.  Who doesn't want one?  I think it still might be more viable to by btc now and hold.
The otherside of the coin is if btc jumps in price at halving this is the only miner to have.
Still, good job again seeing this through to completion as always.

Cool... Seems you have the right contacts.  Let the fun begin!
149  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Cheap laptop on: May 29, 2016, 08:38:20 PM
Did you find one? I have 2 different Dell models I could send you for about that range.
150  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: How much does x280 go for? on: May 25, 2016, 05:16:27 PM
Depends on brand and style..... Oh and where your trying to sell them on.  A three fan will fetch $160-$190 and a two fan $140-$180.  Typically asking $150 range ensures a pretty quick sell.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Eth) Who bought at $8-$10 and had the balls to wait till $13-14? on: May 19, 2016, 10:40:30 PM
I must admit it's fun to get back to gpu mining and with Ethereum doing so well monthly energy costs to run are made up within the first week.  I don't have the capital to run rigs without dipping into the coffers but before too long I might not need to.  Point is, if you can hold do so but the jumps are profitable if you hit them right.
Nothing wrong with buying at $14 - a year or two from now that comment could be laughable.  Lets see.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth bubble is about to pop on: May 19, 2016, 07:09:12 PM
Eth bubble is about to pop pull put while you can. I just sold all my ether for btc and bought 500 LTC which is a far more stable and safe coin to store value in. Think about it what has ether done to deserve $14 value??

Is it used as a currency - NO
Is it widely used for smartcontracts - NOT AT THIS STAGE
Does it have solid design - NOPE ITS FULL OF BUGS

The only thing holding the price up at the moment is hype, once that dies down ether is going down to $1-$2 range.
Really?  I too believe in Litecoin and wish it well.  BUT I hope to have enough foresight not to bash a coin because it's doing well or surmise it's doom!
All coins or any ( stock ) for that matter are doomed without support so your statement is an empty opinion.
Your statement about what Ethereum has done compared to Litecoin is obviously not a well informed one.
One may ask the same question about Litecoin, if it has a direction when do we see it?
I'm not bashing your comments or opinion but Ethereum is definately doing a hell of a lot more in it's short time and has a huge growth potential.
You don't have to believe in a coin to trade and make some money off of it.   Litecoin is stable and has been but it's all about your intentions, are they long term or short term.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Pump on: May 18, 2016, 11:31:58 PM
For now and maybe forever all coins need Bitcoin.  That is it's purpose.  Things may change in the future but Ethereum and others (other blockchains) are paving new ideas of what blockchains can be used for.  Quite exciting to witness actually.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Pump on: May 18, 2016, 10:49:21 PM
It's a scam and will dump soon.

In all honesty you can't really call Ether a scam, it is just manipulated as every other altcoin ( and bitcoin for what matter ). In regard to the the technology and what is being developed there is nothing scammy in it
Exactly!  Every coin can be pumped and dumped that is the nature of the market.  The lower the price of the coin the easier to do so.  We all can take advantage of this if monitored closely.  I once believed in just holding but there is huge benefits in trading and riding the fluctuations.
Ethereum and Bitcoin alike deserve respect or at least a little praise for what they are attempting to achieve.
Nay sayers may gawk at Ethereum but when millions are moving through the market it really is hard to ignore.  The Dao is just another step to help secure Ethereums success.
It's funny to keep hearing the same negative comments of different coins over the years and it always starts one of two ways.
1.  "It's just a pump and dump, the dev is just trying to make money"   Well duh, wouldn't you?
2.  "I'll just wait and see where this coin goes..... Oops too late.  I wish I would have bought in when I first heard about it now it's too late"  People who have the opinion that it's too late will forever miss oportunities.

It's never too late, sure it's easier and cheaper to start at the beginning but none of these coins, tokens or what have you are any where near maturity....
If you don't have the patience to see the potential of this market get out.

You'll notice most of the derogatory threads and posts come from newer members - just an observation.

155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: POLONIEX is probably the next exchange to go down on: May 18, 2016, 03:14:54 PM
None of the exchanges are 100%. It's how everything is ran in crypto-world.  It's fine to speculate but it's just a known fact not to leave funds on an exchange for any length of time.  You could have determined Cryptsy was in trouble when they started raffling off hardware for Cryptsy Points.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEWBIUM - Crowdsale begins May 1st on: May 01, 2016, 07:17:42 PM
Yes, I'm not questioning integrity of the Dev team but releasing all info prior to launch is a must.  These little tidbits added in after the fact shows unpreparedness, which is a concern.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEWBIUM - Crowdsale begins May 1st on: May 01, 2016, 06:26:11 PM
I believe the question at hand was who is the escrow? Which was explained in above post... none at present until decided by participants in said escrow.

So the answer is those choosing escrow aren't being escrowed by anyone other than your team until said time when escrow agent/s will be chosen.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEWBIUM - Crowdsale begins May 1st on: May 01, 2016, 01:49:43 AM
How are the Tokens received after the crowdsdale, a wallet which your working on?
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEWBIUM - Crowdsale begins May 1st on: April 30, 2016, 06:56:16 PM
If Nxt is traded in currently for 100 it's .00159 btc which is $0.71. So 100 to 1 as far as Nxt to Newbium would put it' s trade in value at 71 cents per token.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEWBIUM - Crowdsale begins May 1st on: April 30, 2016, 05:24:06 PM
Rough calculation:  Newbium crowdsdale and/or swap will be around $1 to $2 per token? Or is that just the swap price?
