601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: March 05, 2016, 08:21:34 AM
What's a good reference price for Aeon that relates to Monero?

I was thinking Aeon should be around 20% of Monero's price.

So if XMR is currently 0.0025 that would be 0.0005 for Aeon.

I'm mainly thinking for the future as the low volume of Bittrex isn't ideal.

XMR is going to 300-320K satoshi very soon, I believe that in current stage AEON can be fairly valued at 5-10%.

5%-10% of XMR is a long way up from here. It might be possible long term but probably not until LMDB is done and AEON is listed on Poloniex.

Not so long as you think, the whole ask side is very thin and every holder is seems strong, it's near impossible to acquire 50-100K and interest grows. Current asks at current price is just 20 BTC worth. Legit CN coins looks hard to fly, but if they do they do it easy.
These tiny dumpers can be ignored, I consider them as random aliens.

Why not send ICO and initial NXT stakes to participants right now? People will stake coins, network will be animated, new participants will jump on in order to get early coins and also stake.

I wrote to bittrex today, they finally changed logo.

Waiting on LMDB makes sense if AEON wants to remain focused on retaining a small footprint suitable for lower end and mobile devices.

Can the AEON GUI come before LMDB or would that involve more work in the long run (having to modify the GUI for LMDB later)?

Waste of time. I'd better prefer to have LMDB in it's current state because low-end hardware without SSD is loosing marketshare every day and shouldn't be a major issue. That will spot AEON and likely poloniex can bring it back to their awesome exchange. AEON need more volume, more advertisement, more users, without LMDB even in it's current state these 3 pillars will never be built.

æ AEON
THE UNTRACEABLE BLOCKCHAIN

æ AEON
TRUE DIGITAL CASH

I am not a BBCode wizard, but at least that's something.
Any idea how to make this glow markup of æ look better?

Does Aeon plan native integration I2P or Tor?

For now you can Torify this way https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=641696.msg13314387#msg13314387
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: February 16, 2016, 09:10:25 AM
Look at Monero, it's above 200K at this moment, don't you think that AEON can easily go to 20K soon? I am sure. Current price level is a joke, everyone with even spare 50 USD can acquire AEON for dimes and these "lazy bets" can give a significant return in near future.

We are living in a very "interesting" world, governments fighting with cash breaking bad, ignoring this fact and ignoring legit true digital cash is just stupid. Exchanges already banning bitcoin transactions. I bet some of us already was in doubt if they should accept BTC payment from people they don't know very well in order to protect themselves from possible problems with "cashout gateways" like coinbase.

There were several "competitors" in past: some just pure blatant long term scam, some has broken cryptography. There are only two projects so far with literate community of users and developers, so respect your and other's privacy - hold Monero, hold AEON.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: January 31, 2016, 07:59:48 PM
I think since branding is likely solid now, why not start thinking about forum signatures? Maybe we can craft and vote for both Aeon and XMR signatures here so that both coins can be promoted together in a single sig. That might be a paradigm shift in a cryptocurrency promotion. We have to remember that we are promoting electronic cash - no one before us tried to do that.

So what is a difference? Aeon and Monero is not just a project, it's entirely different lifestyle - privacy centric lifestyle.

how about UNTRACEABLE E-CASH

Cash is untraceable by default.

Hey everyone, mainnet launch date is 12:00 PM CST February 8th, 2016. Some extra information here. This will mean extra work completed on PoW pools and a simple PoS pool on launch. Hopefully now everyone can make their arrangements for the big day!

Awww what a pity... And I wanted to ninja launch a pool right after launch.. Sad

The major problem is broken cgminer, hope they are capable to fix it within 8 days. So nothing bad happened.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: January 30, 2016, 02:48:58 PM
True Digital Cash.

I bless you to stick to it and finally stop this nose picking. It lasts for several months already and it looks like this is all the development done so far.

I like this last logo, but this logo does not make sense without ability for users to look on it in a dock, system tray or as desktop icon.

Poor attempt, need more morons, but fuck, they all stick to ETH and DOGE for now.

Any ETA for testnet launch and daemon sources? I can't read whole thread, no info on OP.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL][ETH] EuroHash.net Ethereum Mining Pool | EU | 1% | No Payout Fees on: January 20, 2016, 05:31:10 AM
So I just used my local per rig hashrate for the diff.

I decided to give solo-mining a shot with your proxy, the proxy says I have found 3 blocks but none have shown up in my wallet...  Could they be orphans or maybe there is a reporting problem?  Ocminer mentioned in irc that his pool found blocks but they weren't showing up in the proxy, opposite of my problem.

I don't understand how solo mining and ocminer's pool live together? If you mined really solo and found 3 blocks, probably your node is not in sync.
If you mined in pool mode, proxy will never report found blocks, only accepted shares.

There is atomic counter used in proxy so if node/pool reported accept to rpc request it's 100% will be counted in proxy. If there is some problem I'd like to see an issue reported on github.

Its poll time. Cast your vote!

When should we ask @Poloniex to list #aeon alongside its other #CryptoNote coins like #monero and #boolberry?

1. Now
2. After LMDB
3. After GUI

I think everyone can ask whenever he or she wants. If someone think it's time to ask after LMDB he or she can wait and ask later. That's how natural "organic" asks look like. Otherwise it can turn into polo flood.

I filed coin request on poloniex months ago right after bittrex listed it.

vertcoin.org expired.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: January 09, 2016, 09:15:27 AM
I prefer the single circle logo. The other one just kind of looks like googly eyes or something.

Circle reminds me startcoin bullshit supported by keiser (famous bullshitter who directly endorsed maxcoin scam), almost same background color and white letter in it. Maybe it's really good idea to keep square instead of circle.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL][ETH] EuroHash.net Ethereum Mining Pool | EU | 1% | No Payout Fees on: December 21, 2015, 02:18:58 AM
New build just rolled, a little bit extended stats and public API endpoints.

On the subject of logos, here is my latest offering.

A better shade of blue coupled with a modern better graphic. Simple, universal and powerful.

This is the direction we should be headed.

I like it, simple and a bit reminds old version.
