I like Monero though and hold some but the two should definitely reach parity again at some point.
Not sure that FCT pumpers have enough fuel to reach parity with XMR.

Also the proof of work security promise of bitcoin will not likely be matched with Monero.
I will pray for that. I don't want Monero to be "secured" by mining cartels.

We're using CryptoNote defaults. Didn't change much, just branding, and added 4 decimal places to granularity. Plus usual, ports, seed node IPs, random number. And removed that friggin' public key!
MWD
I see. May I ask what is "friggin' public key"?

CryptoNote-dervived coins don't work like Bitcoin, "halving" is an incorrect term in this case. We do reference this fact in our OP. "--Smooth emission. Difficulty retargets at every block" More info: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/4ev0m6/monero_halving/Surprised you don't know this, with MyMonero in your profile. Respectfully, MWD "halving" is pretty correct term because there are different CN coins and each has different emission, some halve, some has smooth emission. Difficulty not retargets on every block because actually it takes up to 12 hours (360 blocks with 2 min. block time). For example if you throw 1 MH on BIP to mine it, it will reach correct difficulty only after big amount of blocks mined. Then if 1 MH miner will stop mining it can take significantly big time to adjust difficulty back. Common mistake in CN, does not matter for established coins like Monero, but very noticeable for new coins with tiny difficulty. EDITED: Well it retargets every block, but not as perfect as it can. Prolly you can change retarget algo so there will be something new in this coin.

Well dude, I like fun, but cryptocurrency requires some boring details:
There is missing spec on OP (block reward, halving, total coins supply)
What exchanges are you targeting? (Miners need to dump somewhere, otherwise BIP will end up with insecure network like now).
OTC thread maybe?
Are you planning to rework logo and get rid of this cat with hash overdose?

Interesting, coin launched 5 months ago but if you multiply block height by 4 (minutes) the result will be 2.8 months. So halving is not coming next month.

I assume that running full-node is the same as running the wallet, (am i right?) then i might run the wallet 24/7 on one of my VPS's just to have
Looks like it.

A Hero, Legendary and Senior members. hmm this is getting interesting. maybe we should form a team. I can be of any help but coding. No thank you, I just don't wanna find it abandoned after 2 months with 500 h/s network and a single full node. Best people can do right now is to protect their investments by running full node and solo mining. I asked minergate to add a pool for it in their thread. Remember, block halving is coming soon.

|
|
Also, there is no feature-full block explorer, no way to verify transactions. It's just a list of blocks.
To attract miners I suggest to list in on coinwarz.com or whattomine.com
Maybe someone can ask minergate or chainradar to add full block explorer. And pool also.

@sammy007: Thanks for the concern and it only goes to show how much you are committed to the Bitcedi project just as i am. I'm working on on Bitcedi full time, I work on Litecred when the need arises. I'm not the only one on Litecred so there are others as well. Bitcedi is the main project i'm working on and my avatar and sig should tell it all so yes i'm working on Bitcedi full time. Clear difference with *Note and bitcedi just makes it easy for exchanges to do research, well not a problem, this is not first project goes this way. I am asking because I am big Bitcedi bagholder, it took a lot of time to accumulate my stake and I wanna see to where it goes and how OP is interested in it. I believe that Bittrex listing is very necessary for network, because miners in order to drop hashrate on a coin need something serious than Cryptopia to sell at least to pay electricity bills. Or at least some stable demand required on existing exchange, I am not so patient so I just did several market buys over a month. PS: I have no any sell orders on cryptopia and not going to place any in a visible future. probably I will buy more to put into "staking" if there will be juicy asks, not sure yet.

|

maybe DEV should start with campaign to boost sell
Not just me, Team is preparing a good road map for the way forward. Should be ready soon as we are only reviewing it right now. Maybe you should concentrate on your Bitcedi coin instead of "taking over" another one?

I pushed website to https://github.com/sammy007/aeon-sitesmooth, as far as I know it's possible to configure 2nd level domain and host it directly from github since it's jekyll. I think would be cool if you fork it and further updates will go through pull requests.

Is it too much to ask to run a diff between digitalnote and bitcedi? Doesn't almost every coin "improperly fork" and try to obscure who's code they're copying on github? Edit: lol 1000+% spread on cryptopia I just don't like . It requires to fuck with code in order to see what is actually changed. Well maybe it's normal practice nowadays, I don't follow coins for more than a year already.

not now for sure the coin increased the value alot
Because lack of hashrate is killing it. People dump to 80-60 satoshi. This is just stupid, you can mine shitton of coins with a single CPU if you solo mining it for 1 month. I think there is a birth injury in Bitcedi which can stop Bittrex from listing it, the problem is improperly forked code. No one will waste human hours for code analysis of a coin with weighted price of current supply is close to 3 BTC and definitely no one will blindly list it even in isolated environment. Best what "dev" can do is to make a transparent fork and add his changes to a plain Duck/Dark/DigitalNode codebase or whatever name it has this month.

Where you can buy 1% of available supply for less than 0.03 BTC? Only on Cryptopia LOL.

Just FYI images are not loading on the bitcedi online website for me on mobile, not at a comp right now to check if they work there.
Have you tried http://bitcedi.orgThat one works. Did you just update the link in OP? I swear I clicked it from the first post earlier. It's my bad! I updated the link. we decided on the domain .org instead of the .online to be more official for marketing. I have also contacted Bittrex on twitter to see if they'll consider listing bitcedi for it to grow. Kindly retweet for Bittrex https://twitter.com/Bitcedis/status/765316176419364868Nice, perhaps Pirontech Ventures can help them to make a decision with a couple of bitcoins?
