Couldn't we prevent such a thing by simply not allowing the mining of more than one miner/port on the same IP? Should be easy to implement, right?
This should drive the investment cost for whales up quite a bit.
EDIT: No wait, getpeerinfo returns not just IPs from miners, but from wallets. So if we allowed only one wallet per IP we would run into all kinds of problems, like for example, two people in the same LAN wouldn't be able to transact with each other.
Better launch not mineable PoS shitcoin and masturbate on it's non-mineability. |

Elasticity Timeline Vertans, We have been hard at work
Vertans,
We have been hard at work plotting the details of the elasticity implementation and are finally at a point where we feel comfortable announcing a target release time-frame.
We expect to have the new elastic distribution model completed within 4 months. As we get closer to the target we will be able to provide more details that so many of you are eager to have!

LTC tanked again, and today is shiny day to swtch useless LTC to VTC, there are no much markets yet, but at least VTC has good purpose - Pure GPU coin.

As far as I understand; no demand and low price results in small blocks and vice versa. How the hell coin can know that demand is low and price is low? I have no idea, just joking a bit. BTW just bought 35k VTC on cryptsy, I think it's a good moment to buy. I bought some too  No idea what owner of these 2 buy/sell walls trying to achieve. Selling at this price is something I can't understand, it does not worth a time for setting up order. Everything up to 25 cents is bargain. |

So Monero up next ?  While Monero has most of the votes, we believe that it is still a bit premature for direct betting purposes. The main reason is because the API is not yet finalized. Another reason is that the official wallet does not yet have a GUI. That being said, we're monitoring its progress and hope to be able to accept it soon. Meanwhile, please do continue to share your thoughts on which other altcoin we should add. We're seriously considering accepting additional coins and your feedback has been valuable for us. Thanks. I downloaded the newest version of bitmonero (0.8.8.6) and it's still using 5 GB. Am I doing something wrong?

new kernel for the version in github/djm34 http://ge.tt/41D9Y872/v/0?c(it should work with metallicjames is you use in lyra2RE.cl the blake256 code of metallicjames version. current hashrate on my 290x at 1030/1250 with -g2 -I20 -w64 1.46MH/s (average after stabilization) was 1.32MH/s before donation welcomed: VyF9fXUSt5iZH6GuA8WvUw4NrVhcybMiLA (even though it was a paid job... vtc has fall off) so please makes updating the code worthy... please also report problems as well as your speed (I can't reach the 1500MH mem clock... so I am a little curious) Can't use new kernel with windows binaries (using build you shared on irc #vertcoin).  |
