IMHO it look like logo for infants. I thought after first look it is some seal.
This version?  lol, i guess it's all about perspective. I just thought karma could use a more playful appearance since the idea behind the coin is to do good. I didn't think the current logo conveyed that idea, and a generic letter 'K' would probably have felt too corporate and overdone at this point. I actually really like this one, despite the fact that it is a bit too cartoony and feminine (no offense, girls). That and colors should be easily fixable. I like it because it looks really nice, has few enought details to be recognisable in small icon (many other suggestions fails in this case), I like how it breaks out boring circle a bit too. It could be tweaked to be a really nice logo. |

Everybody wants the wallet!  It is coming, not in December I promise ;-) I have bitten off a huge amount of work, but it is going to happen. I will get the updates over to the designer. I've been trying to keep on top of a lot of stuff. It seems coinmarketcap.com is showing ? again meaning it can't poll for the coin count. I am putting something up to resolve this once and for all :-) BitParticle Forum may go up/down a few times when I reload web server and it may be a little slow for a bit as I load the blockchain into a database. I have been flooded with emails/pm's/contact forms... it is best if you can funnel all of that into forum.bitparticle.com so I have one place to keep track of everything and get to it as I have time. If you sent me messages, I'm not ignoring you just have ton of them  It would be great if someone could work on an Android wallet in parallel. You can get bitcoinwallet code on github to adapt for Particle. The Particle address version/pubkey prefix is 56, or 0x38. If not, I'll get to it eventually after the new wallet and the app repository... Snotty is good at android development, and I'd like to learn and help too! btw, After I met many problems compiling bic and ltc wallet, particle wallet is compiled very successfully on my ubuntu! So,can you ask Snotty to help moon to do a android Wallet？ Unfortunately, I don't think I could do it. I do some Android programming, but nothing as advanced as crypto wallets (I'm not sure how hard it is, actually, maybe doable, but I still wouldn't want to do an amateurish work on something that relates to money of other people). It would be better to have someone, who already has experience in this field. |

Picky is fine just remember the crazy Windows 8 DPI scaling thing. If you can send me the icons from the mockup I can include them in the wallet. Larger icons are better so this way .NET/Windows can scale the objects up and the icons won't get blurry. I was just trying to figure out if there was a way to extract them off of your site ;-) I sent you a small donation too. I've also updated the logo across the sites, I think I got all of them. The new logo looks really nice in the wallet by the way Thanks! That Windows 8 problem annoys me with no end. As I understand those icons will look blurry either in windows 8 or in other platforms, where they will be downscaled. Is it possible, maybe, to work this around with somehow using one icon set for Windows 8 with larger images and using icons with fixed size in other platforms so they would not be resized? Could be too much work, but we really need sharp images if we aim for a professional look. I will upload icons I've used in mockup tonight, but they will be like 36x36 I think. So does Win8 need 72x72 or larger? Need to know precise size and I would try to make a resized set tomorrow or, if I won't be able to, only in the middle-end of next week. Also, you haven't used those nice background images I've uploaded for Facebook and Twitter headers! Current headers doesn't look good, really. Use them! UUUUSE THEM! |

I will do a small point release of the QT wallet with the logo update today, but for now I'll hold off on any core changes for another week or so.
On the next gen wallet front, my focus has been on completing the full encapsulation of the daemon so it is transparent to the user, auto-generating rpc user/password etc. and making it seamless, locking down and cleaning up class visibility for internal core objects (e.g. internal vs public vs protected etc.), plug-in lifecycle, handling different scenarios from the qt wallet like sending coins from encrypted wallet so prompt the user to unlock first and little things like that, detecting the first run of the wallet and showing the user the getting started page, etc. and then applying the new logo and mockup styles as best I can. All the little things that can confuse new users, and then major core API finalization for plugin developers. Can't publish an API, have people build apps, and then break it because then you alienate devs.
A lot of this stuff, once it is done it is done, it is the up front hurdles you have to get over and then everything gets a lot easier.
This is exciting! I really like it when moonmoon replies to this thread more often. It kind of sets everything in the right places and calms the mood down. BTW, I'm going for a weekend vacation, so if you need icons or anything urgent from the mockup - thursday is the best time to ask. Also, I'm going to be very picky and pushy about the GUI of the wallet. Misalignments of elements, missing paddings and blurry icons shall not pass! |

This is one of the rare threads where people are complaining about pool ads. What's up with that?
Guys are just doing their jobs, securing and building stable network. Most of you just complain about ads, cry about price and just bitch around.
You can just scroll over ads or you can ignore the user. Concentrate on building DigiByte, stop annoying cries...
I have never seen so much pool ads in any of the threads. You literally can't see any normal discussion because of them and I am not sure annoyting the hell out of community works better than being add to the first post pools section. |

What do u think about the listen on CRyptsy soon? is fair?
It's too soon, in my opinion. Wouldn't be better get in to larger exchanges AFTER the wallet release and some marketing. You're right, i like so much your mockup and i would to see released very soon! :PP It's only a mockup for now, I'm not even sure Moonmoon saw updated version of it  |
