You are expecting a little bit too much from an exchange run by couple of people with daytime jobs. Relax with your explanations and stuff, we got important updates to finish and an expansion of team to organize. Added LEAF because it has active community, good hashrate and as you see, it brought us quite a lot of volume.
Fair enough, transparency can wait Fingers crossed that coinmarket.io wouldn't end up with the performance of coinedup. But you look like a smart people and probably already have plans to work with heavy loads.

Early screenshots. Not a final design version. | New Wallet
| | | | | | | | | New generation wallet | | User experience oriented | | Cross platform | | Extensible | | | Particles key differentiator in the crypto currency marketplace is its advanced wallet technology. Unlike most alt coins that are simple copy-and-paste clones of Bitcoin-Qt with a few parameter changes, Particle has a unique wallet with user friendly features for a sublime user experience. | | The Particle advanced wallet, codenamed BitParticle, offers an incredible user experience through a Modern (previously known as Metro) style user interface. The interface features a focus on typography (the so-called Swiss style popularized in the 1960′s), titles, and tabs. Plugins are able to hook in and expose their own tabs in the UI that contain their functionality. | | Our wallet is created on the .NET Framework and is cross platform with the open source Mono project. The wallet code is implemented in C# with the help of a few open source libraries and communicates with the particled Particle daemon through the JSON-RPC (remote procedure call) interface. | | Particle wallet is extensible. This means it can be extended by the community to add new features directly in the wallet. This is the same concept as add-ins in Firefox or apps for the iPad. Community developers and hobbyists can create plugins that are loadable by the wallet to expand the feature set. | | | Particle Coin

It would be nice to see an exchange posting some reasoning about why a particular coin is being added. Some transparency would be good and communities of worthy-to-be-exchanged coins would know what they're doing wrong. Because franky some pairs make no sense at all no matter how objective you try to look at them.

Hey, just wanted to announce that if any of you, would like to have some voice in creating UI of Particle new wallet now is the BEST TIME to do it. You know, that thing that you always wanted to see in the wallet of an altcoin. Or maybe something always annoyed you in them - good to know that too. So we have a simple web mockup of it here: http://coindrain.com/prt/mockup/And it would be nice to see some feedback in here: http://forum.bitparticle.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=259... or in this thread.

I agree, but the good thing is you already got the tool that works. It just needs some make up
Since, giveaways just got forbidden, tweaked faucet could serve as an advanced giveaway service... Some Particle community related tasks could be added, abit of quiz (go to the topic x, copy paste n-th word, write a bit about why you're interested in Particle (manually checked, bonus PRT for making sense and not adding "qdjlivz;lwidj;qwijd" to the text field). But I am now taking a day or two to rest and work on my day job and gambling website. There are quite a lot of promo things which could be implemented in it (you get 50-100PRT in your account wallet for joining, can withdraw after 5 bets, who wouldn't at least download a wallet after getting free money?)

OK, now I've got a marketing idea, but it takes a lot of our input (just like any other idea, wont work by it self). Basically the point is to advertise Snotty's http://coindrain.com/particle. We who mined or received coins should leave the faucet to PRT potential new users, buyers, investors. I bet it doesn't mean much to any of you (1 to 11 PRT? come on... comparing to your wallet?), but what can be a better marketing than giving away real money? No matter how bad the rates are at the moment, there's nothing to loose. It's still some money. So, my suggestion is to recommend the faucet to your friends, talk about the potential growth of the coins value, coin markets, mention the BTCs value now, and I think most of them will be hooked up. In short - FREE MONEY! NO COST, NO TASKS, NO SURVEYS, NO REGISTRATION, just go and grab it. and yes - one day turn it into a yacht! I wonder how many different ACTUAL people actually uses it daily (150-200 unique hits/day). Not counting those proxy changers, who are pretty common in the faucets :} If the faucet would be used as a marketing"landing page" of a coin it should be much more polished... Some banners, high quality logo, catchy promo text would help.

Altgough I see why, I think you should remove the angry bird icon. I think it detracts from the idea. I kind of see your point... I made it an eastern egg. Sorry, need my dose of strange humor. :}

That was pretty harsh, but kind of reasonable. Altcoin section is like slums with high crime rates, beggars and prostitutes in the eyes of the bitcoin crowd of this forum. I understand absolutely... 'cause I'm one of the beggars: P L E A S E => PaXJ74wUwieuRqfQi2yR1Ue5fdqejkcx7N You're still young - go and find yourself a mining pool to work in! Shiush!

i don't get it.
why clone bitcoin to improve its wallet and not just make a better bitcoin wallet? only to get rich? there is no other plausible explanation for this.
Your way of reasoning is beyond my understanding... Doesn't cloning bitcoin wallet and improving it results in... wait for it... waaaait... a better bitcoin wallet?

This poll. This FUCKING poll. God dammit, it's okay for Particle not be included yet, but seriously, what the hell is wrong with Cryptsy. What kind of set of coins is that.
|
|
|
Really strange set of coins suggested in poll. I would like to see at least Particle or DigiByte on it. What's the point of adding so many coins with great risk of short life span and ignoring ones with potential.

I for one would be far more trusting and confident if there would be more transparency regarding what kind of security issues we are talking about. Then I could assess was it something that could have not been foreseen easily and decide are they handling things properly and professionally. Did they scale servers bad, did SQL crash? Did it get hacked? Was the userbase compromised, did they get salted hashes? THESE THINGS MATTER SO DIFFERENTLY IN SO MANY WAYS. Admin telling there is a "security issue" is the lame kind of error reporting i get from windows. Bump if I'm not the only one thinking this. In a way, admin describing the specific security issue is a security issue. If you find a weakness, you fix it, not announce it, so anyone would know where to look for it.

I too have a couple of strange transactions which, it seems, never reached anyone. Luckily the amounts are quite small, but still it's annoying to always see them on the top of transaction list. Shouldn't they timeout at some point and money getting back to your account? It looks like 6 days and no timeout. Strange. man, solve it somehow - that's me on the list! ssshhh helped me, problem solved, PRT resent (I think it was last PRTs of giveaway), already being confirmed

DigiByte is now two weeks old! Let's keep the momentum up! We have some big announcements planned for this week!
Congratulations! Feeling excited already
|
|
|
I will add it to list to look into but right now is not priority... maybe there is wordpress plugin to do this automatically so I don't have to go hacking around the theme...
I think link behaviour in the website is the least important thing right now
