the servers will be overloaded with everyone scrambling to the download links at once..
cmon guys at least post the links before you go live!
I hope they have many mirror downloads, but I wouldn't bet on it. It's just too much to ask, is it not?

I think they will have torrents. Or so it says in maxcoinmine.com.

He mentioned being sick in the Particle chat, so I wonder if it's something serious or are we in a bit of unpleasant situation here :}

Vote for Particle:

Small chance of collecting enough votes, but a little bit of exposure never hurts.

<..>

Snotty, I am working on a Chrome Exetions that acts as a wallet.  And I could use some help with javascript creating particle address.  I thought maybe you could give me some advice since you built altsino.com?

Thanks.

I'll PM you.

everyone in favour of Snotty getting 50K PRT, please say Aye!

Aye!

I'm flattered, but I'll have to refuse, since I know bittick personally and I don't want for any accusations and unnecesary tension to start because of that. While, obviously, his intentions were good, I prefer for that PRT to stay in the marketing fund and be spent in a way that particles I already have would have more value.

Yet, part of that sum could be used in a promotional faucet and/or promotional raffle/lottery/giveaway, I will probably going to do in near future.

Hopefully that makes sense.

And if anyone else would like to donate personally, I'll gladly accept that - PRT address is in my signature :}

Okay, so does anyone know where's moonmoon? He was speaking about being sick the other day, is he better now?

I have some cool promotional ideas and already written a 3 pages long draft of promo text in simple english (no words like "crypto", "algorithm", "block" or "hash" were used), which could be attached to the faucet and translated to as many languages of possible with a bit of psychological incentive of sharing it via social media. Could do good.

But, I also need some fixes to be done to the old wallet, while there is no new wallet... In particular, fixing sync problem if there are no nodes in conf file (I don't know, why not hardcode them so wallet would have somewhere to fallback if sync fails) and changing logo. And I need some motivation from above, since I don't want to buy and waste a domain name if no one else is doing anything.

And I really need you to try altsino.com gambling, since it could also be tweaked to work in promotional way, but only 6 people actually joined (I only advertising it in this thread and PRT forum, I know, but still... bit sad) and only ssshhh posted feedback (thanks to him!), so soon I'll be forced to move testing to more active community. And I don't really want to do that....

So, yeah, I kind of have something to offer and all I need in return is some activity :}

Or, you know, maybe that was stated somewhere..?

But that unnecesarry aggressive tone and personal attacks really grinds my gears today.

Truce.  I was offended by your rude response to me, so I responded in kind.

Go PRT.

Truce. I was offended by your rude response to bittick first... and so the chain of negativeness started!

All good now and all be better tomorrow. I'm going to start working on thread  BBcode and wallet mockup redesign, if I survive work meeting, which will surely be a complete waste of time.

Lol are you english as a second language?  Read that again.

Nowhere does that say that there is a 100 confirmation requirement DUE TO LOW HASHRATE.  coinmarket.io was saying the OPPOSITE when it was added.  They said it does have enough hashrate so moonmoon should change the 100 confirmation req because that is ridiculous on a non dead coin.

Before you go correcting someone elses english, you should have correct grammar as well. "are you english..." is not correct.

Well, he's right, because I did misinterpret CoinMarket.io sentence about confirmations due to the lack of knowledge on how altcoin works, since I thought that exchanges set confirmation requirements, not coin developers. But that unnecesarry aggressive tone and personal attacks really grinds my gears today.

So, anyway, time to regroup, I think. This week is a Particle marketing week! Smiley

how useful the ignore button can be

Indeed I've heard that ignorance is a bliss.

This is the most entertaining altcoin ANN thread I've ever followed. Period.

Nowhere was it stated the 100 confirmations was due to low hash rate.  You are making that up for your own purpose.

How about PRT/BTC on CoinMarket.io?

It would be quite slow to deposit, considering a 100 confirmation requirement...

(a hint to the coin's dev: the 100 confirmation requirement is ridiculous when you have enough hashrate (eg. not a dead coin))

Or, you know, maybe that was stated somewhere..?

Yes, in fact, I am english as a second language.

Hey guys,

When you transfer PRT, how many confirmations before you can move those PRT on?

I can in 6 confirmations but the thread header states 100.  This is the issue @ coinmarket!!!

I PM'd dev at the forum for clarification...

CoinMarket requires 100 confirmations for PRT deposits. It's annoying, but they had some kind of reasoning for it...
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRT] Particle | CPU/GPU, Fast, Easy Mine, * NO PREMINE * | Official Thread on: February 03, 2014, 01:51:46 PM
Very few people moved to CoinMarket.io for PRT. Can't blame them for removing it. They are aiming to be the No1 exchange and PRT is completely controlled by CoinedUp as they have well over four times the volume.

It was just a bad timing to get in to CoinMarket before launching wallet and marketing campaign. Now it will be a bit harder for marketing, since there is no active and accessible exchange left (I don't want to talk about CoinedUp, if someone would've told me "Hey, there's new altcoin, you can buy it in THIS website" I would laugh at them, because, seriously, bought some PRT there and all, but after using CoinMarket I don't even want to try to load that crapsite).

But I have a feeling that all will be fine Smiley Fallback, regroup, attack.

Just wanted to say that your API and the data you provide is greatly respected and appreciated by miners and the community in general Smiley

It isn't much, but if you PM me your DigiByte wallet address, I would be happy to throw you a $10 USD/DGB donation for all of your work Grin

Speaking of which, I don't see DigiByte on coinmarketcap..?  Definitely a great upcoming coin.  I have been watching it since the beginning and the Dev's are certainly "plugged in".  Android wallet, fiat exchange in development, and the list goes on.  Volume isn't massive, but frankly that is because most of the big players are holding on to their coins 'til death, lol.

A good sign.

You should check it out Smiley

Indeed, it would be nice to see DigiByte in the Coinmarketcap soon.

CoinMarket.io "PRT/BTC market will be removed soon"

With a current daily volume that was very much expected. Yet, I was still hoping there will be enough time for PRT to get the wallet beta out and start to work with marketing.

Back to the laggy Coinedup? Please, god, no.
