Very wonderful progress being made! Thanks, as ever, James. I'd love to know the motives of the dumper. I think this is a fundamental difference between SuperNET and BlockNET: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829576.msg9313526#msg9313526Please feel free to chip in to whatever discussion results. I just can't see how BlockNET will compare from a revenue-generation point of view.

Can I clarify what I think is a fundamental difference from SuperNET? BlockNET is collecting money through the ITO for development. SuperNET ICO funds will be used to purchase shares in coins and revenue-generating assets. (It is also entering into revenue-share agreements, of course, without taking an equity stake.) BlockNET is presumably relying on revenue sharing with its partners? If that's the case, then there is an obvious distinction in the type of organisations they are, reflected in the NAV, risk, reward and approach to growth of each (and consequently appealing to different demographics). Is this correct?

A bunch of BTCD got sent to a change address when I did a transaction - I noticed this thanks to the Rich List not showing the 'right' amount for my address, so thanks for drawing it to my attention SHossain! I'd prefer to have just one private key for BTCD, so what's the easiest way to send the coins in the change address to my other account? Can you do that in the client or do you need to use the command line?

BitcoinDark is achieving the holy grail of crypto, to be a completely trust-less decentralized off-blockchain exchange mechanism that is also truly anonymous / private.
I like this quote and I am going to steal it.

I think those points need nuancing a little better. 1) NXT and BTCD provide key functionality, clearly. But doesn't NHZ provide an AE like NXT? Additionally, many services are built on top of NXT (MGW, distributed crypto exchange, Atomic, InstantDEX...). Then you have BBR, VRC etc. Each coin and service brings something distinctive to the table. I also think one of the things that has caused confusion here is that Teleport is a whole ecosystem for private communication, used by BTCD for anon transfers. 2) Kademlia is DHT, used by BitTorrent. Nodes communicate P2P. Incidentally, it's worth mentioning that Kademlia enables some really very impressive anon tech: you will be able to communicate without sender or receiver, or anyone else, knowing IP addresses. Imagine an attacker with enough resources to monitor the entire network: they wouldn't be able to tell who was sending and receiving packets, let alone what was in them. 3) 10% is the ideal. I suppose you could argue that represents centralisation and risk of manipulation, though it will be held long-term and not used for trading. Its purpose is to underpin the SuperNET NAV and give it a floor value, as well as to align interests between holders. Just about everything in SuperNET is designed to reward productive engagement between the relevant coin communities and services. 10% isn't non-negotiable, but it's the ideal. In some cases I guess it might not be possible; no matter, if a coin offers something worthwhile they can be included. Ultimately I suppose this is a matter of risk/reward, and your outlook on such things. Also bear in mind that ANY coin can use SuperNET via the API. Anyway, just some thoughts on your points. Hope they're useful.

This might help clear up another couple of misunderstandings about comparisons: SuperNET Newsletter #4 http://nxter.org/supernet-newsletter-4/Also, BBR, VRC and BITS are core SuperNET coins (to the extent that BITS can be).

So telepathy sounds very interesting and could be a complete breakthrough in anonymity. Tell me, do you think it will be possible to completely replace Tor with such a system? If so, in terms of speed will it be able to function faster then Tor?
I had a conversation along these lines with James. Problem is that Telepathy is extremely strong, but it's a closed system: you can communicate very securely with other users, but accessing websites is different matter. If someone could come up with a way of creating a TOR gateway, or a way of accessing webpages via Telepathy, that would be fantastic. It would also be possible to store static content in the cloud and have a kind of limited mini darkweb within the Telepathy network. But all of this needs people to build apps on top of Teleport.

I found out there is a lot of disinformation about Teleport being spread around. People are under the impression that it requires trusting the other party. This is not the case at all. Teleport is designed to work totally trustlessly.
Seems we need to get the message out to clarify this and I have emailed Kristov Atlas to get him understanding Teleport better.
James
Where? Presumably this is about the recipient having responsibility for cloning the telepods?

Watching. I haven't had a chance yet to read the whole thread, but what will BlockNET's privacy protocol be?
Another bump. Also, how will you invest in third-party services without using ITO funds? Presumably it will require a revenue-share model?

Can the madness go on forever ?
The US has already exceeded one of the three classic precursors of hyperinflation. Japan, Europe and China aren't too far behind, However, because most of the money is nominally sitting in shares (US) property (China) government debt (Europe, Japan) it's all holding together. Once people start trying to liquidate I suspect it will all turn to custard surprisingly quick. Don't worry, crypto will be here to pick up the pieces Which is? And the other two? Looks like deflation can be a precursor, which is just around the corner here...

Are you coding by yourself?
Honest question...
https://github.com/jl777/libjl777 is pretty much all me so far, I am hoping for help, but so far just me. the https://github.com/jl777/btcd directory has BTCDdev doing the C++ code that interfaces to my stuff. neomandra is doing unit tests. Now this is just the SuperNET API + BTCD There are all the other devs for the other coins that are also working on their codebase. James P.S. If you are asking whether I am a team or just one guy, I am just one guy that codes fast. hi great so far, I've got a question if a ring signature transaction on supernet is made, does supernet use boolberries from their 10% stake? isn't 10% a bit low or will berries or supported coins also be bought by supernet? My understanding is that this would be done on the fly by InstantDEX or similar.

My actions today have been to code up hash tables for the DHT storage, including persistent storage and serialized syncing to allow for RAM speeds, but still writing out to HDD as fast as the HDD can handle.
I put in a hard coded 1 GB cap of data stored per node. By making this a user configurable amount, cloud storage vendors/users can be implemented.
Oh, I also have it so there is Public storage and Private storage, so all the telepathic comms that are coming in to you are saved, but of course fully encrypted on the HDD. I also fixed some json output, added support for "contacts" list in the SuperNET.conf so I can setup automatically establishing connections.
Now I will debug the cloud storage.

Can someone post a sample SuperNET.conf file? Not seeing one on git... Take a look here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CGUgDAhimVhz7aHAnITeZGr2S4RiZPzF2LYZIWGbJ1E/editThen Go forth and test!To add to the other discussion, why has no one mentioned Karpeles?!

it is much easier to build now git clone https://github.com/jl777/btcdcd btcd/libjl777 make onetime make btcd Now you should have BitcoinDarkd in the directory and then you just need to make a SuperNET.conf James That's it? No more excuses for anyone now. Including me...

Doesn't matter. SuperNET will launch a few weeks after BlockNET's ITO has finished. is there an approximate date (month?) that you know of? before 2015? Around Christmas is the planned launch, though that might be faster if folks get on board with testing and building the infrastructure.

Thanks, will try it. Looks like I need to enable it in the .conf file first.

BitcoinDark Rich List (Top 500)Now available on http://explorebtcd.info/bitcoindark-btcd-rich-list-top-500/This will be updated every hour except I'm sleeping. So, Plese be patient until I can get something to update it automatically every 10 minutes. Hope you guys will like it. There is still more to do. If you would like to help or any feedback please let me know. Donations are welcome. Thanks! But mine shows a balance ~90 BTCD lower than it should be. Any ideas why? BTCD Rich List updates every hour and every few hours except the time for my sleep. Enjoy the Rich List. THIS. Seems he updates the list manually whenever he is up. No, my account has had ~1000 in for weeks now. There haven't been any significant transfers for a while. you generated pos or transferred? They're then sent to change address. that is in your wallet. I couldn't have staked 90 coins on a balance of 900 in that time. There were a few transfers.
