Any plans on allowing trading of S17Pro shares?
162  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: December 11, 2019, 06:38:10 AM
Is there a way to trade S17 Pro shares currently?
There use to be a market for it, but seems to be gone?

Love the new site, is there a way to have the USD value at time of mined blocks added to it like the current site has?
Any plans to add PPLNS or the ability to point miners to other pools now that electricity is purchasable ?
164  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: September 12, 2019, 04:32:50 PM
What does it mean exactly?
Basically you will soon be able to use YOU coin to trade and purchase on Hashnest?
Anything else, such as a partnership or similar?

When will the exchange open for the U6 open?
Thanks! Haven't had any issues with the website, it is a blast to trade on.

Hihi, it will open as soon as the batch 1 of U6 starts mining, which has been delayed for now. According to StrongU, they will begin dispatching of the miners in mid-Sept, so we are expecting the market/trading to open around this period. Stay tuned!

We love feedbacks, so please feel free to share with us.

If the U6 is purchased now, is it still a 60 day delay before it starts mining as stated on the order page?
Or will it start mining and be available to trade once the U6 market opens?

I do this for fun, if you can, tie the system into the power grid and go at it.
Masternode coins like others said are best for small setups and off grid applications but will be very hard to make money.  Your biggest issue will be storing enough juice to keep it going during night and bad weather.
I have mine tied in to the grid, so while it's not stand alone, I'm always making something from the CPU plus any extra power goes to my house.  Much lower start up cost, helps lower electric bill and much less components needed.  Higher reliability as well.
I also use it as a media server and can throttle the miner as needed to keep things steady.  It's a lot of fun, just don't expect to get rich and enjoy it.
After a year I have saved 200KWh in electricity, and my setup cost $400 not including the computer which should last 10-20 years.  Coin income will most likely never pay off the computer but I use it for other things too so mehh.
This isn't much savings, around $15 but it is a fun hobby.

Edit, just noticed this was a necro thread, woops.

Depends on if you have very cheap electricity or not.  Given the price is falling, or correcting from the hype, I would personally say no.

What has everyone been using their VII to mine currently?
Seems ETH really isn't the way to go for a while now?

Soooo, just curious, why is my BTC balance in the negatives?
More than the accounting error gave in the positive as well?

Have you read our recent announcement? https://support.hashnest.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030812812-Announcement-42-Regarding-the-recent-high-payouts-for-BTC-mining-on-Antpool

The numbers are gonna fluctuate a bit as we fix the errors.

Thanks, yes I read it, but when will the payout adjustment be made or fixed?
I see the balance is going up, however it is still a negative value, more negative than I gained extra from the flaw in the PPLNS.
So right now, I basically have to work off a debt, after already going 3 days without mining income.

Glad to hear! Did you get one of the huge payouts on the BTC miners at first, where the luck seemed to be probably around 10x higher payout than normal?
Now I've paid that back it seems today, and then around 20% more and growing.

Z11 stop mining?

Looks like it, I was wondering what was going on.

175  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New Bitmain S9 Firmware Preliminary Testing With Data on: June 19, 2019, 06:08:11 PM
Would you say the older LPM version is better overall?
Seems it runs a good bit cooler, small watt savings, and not much of a hit on the TH as well.
176  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 18, 2019, 09:21:20 PM
Has anyone played around with the new Multi-Option firmware released last month?
Also seems to fix some security issues and other problems.

I like this idea, would love to see the product in action and final design.  Will keep an eye open.

Sorry to ask a newb question, but is there a Raspberry Pi image that is recommended or official for hooking up to these?
With the 8A power brick, is it safe to use all speed settings, or only up to around 400?
