421  Other / Meta / Unable to reset password via email, receive no change password email on: September 11, 2016, 05:02:21 PM
I'm trying to reset my password via email, as my current password doesn't seem to work, but I'm still logged in.
I don't get any password reset emails after completing the forgot password form.
I have *@bitcointalk.org whitelisted
422  Other / Meta / Re: Should we change our passwords? on: September 10, 2016, 04:31:36 PM
I tried to change my password, but it seems my old one doesn't work.
So I tried in a new browser to reset my password, it said it sent it to my email address, but it didn't work.
I am still getting "notification" emails from bitcointalk however.

What's the current profitability of SIA versus LBRY or DECRED on the dual miner?
I get around 48 cents a day via SIA at a loss of 2MH of ETH which is around 10 cents.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: September 10, 2016, 03:29:13 PM
Is there a profitability calculator for LBRY?
Haven't been able to find one.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Steemd.exe Witness and Miner using 10-20Mbps of bandwidth on: August 24, 2016, 12:44:23 AM
I'm mining Steemd.exe and on my Witness + Miner computer, the bandwidth usage starts out small, but after an hour or two reaches almost 80% of my max speed, 25Mbps
Is this normal?
Is there a way to restrict this?
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.1 (Windows/Linux) on: August 19, 2016, 03:50:21 AM
Edit: Updated Windows 7, and now it works, no idea.

For some reason my ASUS RX 480 is BSOD over a driver file when I run CDM.
If I disable it via -di and just use the 390X it works fine, for the 390X.
Tried a format, tried DDU in safe mode, removing everything, disabling 390X and drivers, using both the WHQL and non WHQL 480 drivers(Windows 7 64bit).
Has no issues running numerous 390s with a 290X also, any ideas?
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: August 18, 2016, 02:23:22 AM
In regards to the auto exchange ports and auto switch, I'm wanting to mine the most profitable DaggerHashimoto coins automatically then have it exchange to BTC.
What URL and Port should I use for this?
The FAQ says us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:12020
I'm using CDM and also mining SIA

17020 : it will work.
12020 : it will work if you set ethash switch at hub miner page (
https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=account&action=hubworkers )

Please leave message if you have trouble.
Thanks.

What are the differences between the two?
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Prebuilt or off the shelf setups for GPU Mining? on: August 09, 2016, 11:41:49 PM

i am on a tablet  so click and drag link is not happening, but i have a long thread in this section.

i have a four card build the rx 480 solid just works no risers i use the newegg site to order the biostar z 170 mobo.

i reviewed the mobo on newegg website under philip a i gave it a very good review

That is a nice Motherboard it looks like, they don't get too hot close together?
What card model do you use?
I have a 390X and a 290X next to each other, 1.5 slot of space, and it increased heat for the 390X by around 20%
Fans on it are at 85% and it's hot enough I can't overclock it so it's going about as fast as the 290X lol.

you have to use rx 480 on that four card build.

Which brand of RX 480 did you get?
Or can they all be undervolted?
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ghetto GPU heat exhaust on: August 09, 2016, 12:18:34 AM
Did you undervolt them? If so, which model did you get and how far could ya undervolt them?
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Undervolting R9 cards, which versions work best? on: August 09, 2016, 12:16:34 AM
Is there a list or a way to tell if an AMD card can be undervolted before buying it?
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Undervolting R9 cards, which versions work best? on: August 07, 2016, 10:31:39 PM
I ended up buying a mixture of 390 cards a while back, only to realize it seems none of them support undervolting (Tried MSI Afterburner and Trixx)
I have an old R9 290X Reference card back when Litecoin mining was hot on them.  It can undervolt -100 and works amazing, in this heat it's as good as my 390.
What cards do you use that you can undervolt?  Is there a custom bios for the 390s that allow this?  I'm also interested in the 400 series, seems they all can be undervolted?

It's embarrassing to admit, but just for anyone having a "similar" issue.
When I did a system restore from a driver issue, it rolled back the settings for Power Savings.
So Sleep was enabled after an hour, about the same time that it would "crash" yet not respond to a power cycle.
I'm not 100% sure this is it yet, still testing, but pretty sure that would do it.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Prebuilt or off the shelf setups for GPU Mining? on: August 06, 2016, 09:15:16 PM
Thanks all for the feedback.

Try replacing the powered USB riser, or dedusting the slots, testing components like RAM, CPU, disable OC, disable all sleep and low power states, lower the miner's intensity, etc. There are so many things that can be wrong causing your problem.

I tried 3 different brands and also tried the system with just one card(plugged into the motherboard directly) so I ruled that out.  Also it's super clean as it's been in a filtered room, but will try de-dusting them.
RAM and CPU could very well be related, I'm thinking maybe the heatsink isn't doing it's job, but from what CPU-Z reports, it's nice a chilly around 50-60c under load.  Is there a log to file method?  Maybe something happens right before it powers itself down that I'm missing since I can't catch the heat readings.

Tried 3 different power supplies as well.  It's odd because it doesn't seem to be an OS crash, just simply powers itself down.  In Bios I have all OC disabled, and have it to resume on power failure (such as being unplugged from the wall, when you plug it back in it should power up).
It does this, but if I let it "crash" then try this method, it won't power back up automatically, I must hit the power button.
This is very odd, since I can kill the power from the wall or PSU, then resume power, and it comes right back up.
But if this "crash" happens, the only way to get it to turn back on is the power button.

Also this happens even when not mining, so that's another odd thing.  I'm using Windows 10, various re-install methods, next is to try Windows 7 I guess, but I hear Windows 7 can only read a certain number of GPU cards for mining, I can't find a solid answer on this for mining.

It was running great for 3 days straight when I first built it, then it just started powering itself off constantly, after running for 1-2 hours.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Prebuilt or off the shelf setups for GPU Mining? on: August 05, 2016, 08:20:06 PM
I built a desktop with the ASRock H81 Pro BTC motherboard, grabbed some powered 1x-16x risers, and 3 R9 390 cards.
Things were stable at first, but after moving it around it kills the power on it after an hour or so.  I removed all but one card(plugged into the motherboard, no riser) and the issue still happens.
I have a 1600 watt power supply for it.  Tried 110v and 220v hook ups, updated the BIOS, used restore points, different miners, etc.  I don't see anything overheating. Issue remains after a month.

TL;DR
Is there an off the shelf desktop with 4+ PCI slots for mining with these cards, or a merchant that sells GPU mining rigs ready to go?
I don't mind if it comes with some more cards, planned on expanding any way.
I've built dozens of personal desktops, never had a stability issue until this one.

If you have multiple computers not on a LAN mining this (servers) I heard you need to change your witness settings.
Can anyone show an actual config.ini of this properly setup?

I am mining at Nicehash, bu I keep seeing that red X:
Quote
"Not using extranonce.subscribe. Mining performance is degraded."
Is it true that it effects mining and how can I force extranonce.subscribe?

EDIT: I am getting really low difficulty shares, and a lot of bandwidth!

I upgraded to 5.2 and I'm having this issue as well on nicehash for ETH (Decred works fine and has a green check)

I'll check it now.

claymore, i'm trying to get started with exp on,it connects to pool then says job timeout disconnect retry in 20 secs?? this is my bat file

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool exp-eu.dwarfpool.com:81/0xcbfcf***********/rig1 -epsw -esm -allcoins exp
any ideas?

Your bat is strange, read readme for correct sample for dwarfpool and just change pool address to EXP pool.

Thanks!! Love your miner.

I ran ./build with Sudo, for whatever reason that fixed it.
