Just a heads up, I would highly recommend avoiding one of their official distributors, Minerwarez https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2277516.140They were offering Avalon 8 upgrades for more money, or a refund. Regardless of which options you took, no response has been given for quite some time now, and Canaan has yet to respond.

I requested my order be refunded about 24 hours ago and I have NO RESPONSE and NO REFUND!
Same here. Same here as well. Shame as it tarnishes how I feel about Canaan as well, since they are an official Distributor. Purchased a T9 from Bitmain when I sent the email for a refund from Minerwarez T9 already shipped and I haven't had a reply back yet.

We have to inform you that due to a recent changes in VISA money transfer policies withdrawals to VISA cards will be unavailable for some time. As far as we know, the issue concerned most (if not all) cryptocurrency industry on the market. We are working closely with our partners in order to comply new VISA requirements. This may hopefully take a month or two, and depends not only on a technology but also a business procedures matters.
We will notify you about VISA withdrawals getting back as soon as it happens.
Meanwhile let us recommend you to use withdrawals to your MasterCard cards instead.
With best regards, Bitlish team. Thanks for this information, do you happen to have an article explaining the changes with Visa?

On the S9, it seems the reset function doesn't reset the network settings? After holding it down for 15 seconds, it still doesn't recover the network settings to DHCP. Is this normal?
Edit: Was a mistake on my part with the network.

Hi all, is it normal that the AUC3's light change to red for a second then change to green. It happens like every couple mins or so.
I have seen this before, but I don't notice any issues. Not sure what it means exactly.

Did anyone get an email from Steve on the 22nd about the A8? Seems more paper work is needed, asking the same information from earlier?

ive got a s9 13.5 and a ebit e9+ 9.5 running on the same worker in and my invalids are only at .065 % is this the norm?
Do you have a screen shot? For the S9, the only % is for Hardware Errors, which are different than Stales or Invalid Shares I believe. Look at the Discarded, Rejected, and Stale columns. 58,453 Accepted 497 Rejected 438,883 Discarded 15 Stale 58453/439395 = 0.133 or around 13%, so around 1 out of 8 are invalid S9 and S7 both have around these levels for me.

I use to be able to sell people on grabbing these direct from Canaan easy, 5 day to your door after payment, direct from the manufacturer, amazing warranty, support response and stability, all new stock, with all parts properly working and no surprises. Since they have stopped, I haven't been able to convince anyone to turn away from other miner brands, and that's sad to me Now, it's a higher price and still payment up front, unstable shipping times, with some being quite delayed unexpectedly, random quality of miners, bad boards on arrival, weeks or months for support response, no direct manufacturer ordering, some issues with non miner parts such as the auc and controller. However they have still stuck to their warranty way better so I will give them that still, but logically I don't see the benefit at the price and shipping delay.

@nicehash
Do you still have static diff on the sha 256 ports? I point a few s3 at it and the diff is 65536 or 131k.
What i dont like to see is that my machine has to throw so much work away due to this. Local work completed on my machine is almost double that of accepted. That is unacceptable. Esp since you offer the ability to point these at lower diff coins. If i only get paid per share then you putting it excruciating high is causing a loss in rewards.
Elapsed Getworks LocalWork DiffA DiffR LsDiff LSTime 2d 12h 56m 22s 6,926 43,509,666 24,117,248 722,944 65536 0:20:17 at time of post its been twenty min since a share
there have been at times i see it go for over an hour before it submits a share. Well hell in that time 6 blocks have past and it had to re work 6 times. ONly way i can get a share in is if i get lucky in ten minutes before next btc block. Id like to be at least at a diff where i can share one share in 2-3 min and with bad luck maybe i still get one in in ten minutes. If you dont have static diff option i guess ill have to move my heaters elsewhere.
Let me know what you come up with. Thanks BR
I've been having this issue as well with the insanely high difficulty for various algos.

I didn't notice all the invalids on the pool stats, odd. Remember invalid shares and hardware errors are two different statistics. I have this on an A741: 51260: Shares 395: Invalids 19: Stale Which I think would be 0.008% invalids, though HW is around 2-3% I don't see any Discarded stats.
On an S7 I have: 42,708: Accepted 166: Rejected 188,230: Discarded Quite a high number of Discarded HW is around 0.07%

Curious as well, the site redirects to http://canaan-creative.acemlnc.com/Mail server is: s16.avl3.acemsrvc.com and s10.avl3.acemsrvc.com Though it says it is from Cannan.io The link does seem similar to the last legit Google Document, odd that it serves it with such an odd link from an unknown domain.

I had to reinstall all drivers, and it seems only 2 of the 5 cards are showing up. Mixture of 480s and 580s, 2 of 3 580s show up, 0 of 2 480s show up. Tried so many driver installs.
I also have mixed amd card models, what i do to reinstall drivers is: 1 - amdcleanuputility to remove the old driver 2- install the new driver i want 3- use the atikmdag-patcher right after drive instalation before restarting hope it helps Just curious, do you have modded BIOS? Pixel Clock Patcher I believe is only used to get a modded card working. All of my cards are stock.

People using calculators are not considering the almost DOUBLE payouts from the sky high transaction fees being added to the reward. Any pool or mining service not paying out fees is making quite a bit by holding onto this, and alt-coins aren't going to generally have this much of a transaction bonus paid to miners. I must admit though, I feel for users the transaction fee now is a bit discouraging.

and you forgot patcher? Who google today... With Windows 10 I haven't had to use patcher yet, and was running fine up until I installed a new card and tried to force the driver install on it. Will try using patcher, thanks.

===<BIG SNIP>===
I have a question maybe you can help I keep getting stratum disconnects from nicehash on sgminer mining xmr and its turning into a real pain I even tried to download and run nicehash miner still the same on all my rigs I noticed sgminer is using api port 4000 or 4001 I have those ports open for my pc running storj farming could this be interfering with sgminer I no Im not the only one having trouble just not sure if my trouble is this reason thanks for any input
DISCONNECTS ARE NOT MINER-SPECIFIC-- I have the same problem. Currently, I am mining CryptoNight with CPUminer-OPT, CPUminer-Multi, CCminer, and SGminer. All the miners disconnect every few minutes. The statistics on NiceHash are not consistent, either, as the miners are not connected long enough to obtain a good average. I also notice that the pool difficulty is set at 300 thousand, rather than 40 thousand or 80 thousand. I am earning more this week than last, but the live stats are not reliable. NiceHash should comment. -scryptr We have the same situation here, both CPU and GPU mining gets frequent disconnects and stratum interrupts. The miners reconnect quickly, but it's definitely not working quite right. I also have been having this issue

I am not an expert, but currently average block time is almost 15 minutes due to a drop in total network hashrate, but the difficulty has not responded yet. Would this also mean payouts currently on average happen 50% less? That could explain some issues perhaps. Though I see transaction fees are making up for it almost, and the price spike carries it even further.

Even with October's bad luck variance, it was still no match for the good luck variance during April. Here is to hoping November is the new April.
