Okay, the correct translation is this: Central bank bans fiat deposits AND withdrawals (cash), effectively killing all fiat channels related to BTC.
I'll have a translated version soon. Stay tuned
Is that not what they aimed to do on the first ban?

Thanks for all the perspectives guys really appreciate it. Sometimes ones mind can blind itself. Thanks for the clarity.
As for now I believe staying diversified is the best option. I'll probably transition maybe 20% of my current holdings into my BTC holdings.

I got about $25k(a large portion of my net worth) sitting in silver and I just don't see it outperforming Bitcoin in the near future. I can afford to lose it all. What would you do?
fyi
I'm young. I have virtually no living expenses and no debts. I understand risk and volatility and am comfortable with it. If i lose it all I won't be killing myself.
The way I see it, if Bitcoin crashes to 0 my life situation does not change. If it booms however, my life situation has to potential to change dramatically. win/win right?

People were warned repeatedly about what would happen with this coin, but they kept holding. I guess it shouldn't shock me that I'm seeing posts from people who are just going to go down with the ship and lose every bit of value they have left in their AUR, as the recipients in Iceland cash it in. It wasn't hard to do the math on this. There's no infrastructure, nobody can or will use the coin, it is simply acting as a mechanism to transfer YOUR money to Icelanders. They're cashing it in - as anyone would - for something with actual value in their daily life. Take your loss and lick your wounds, lesson learned - don't go down with the ship, because it's only just begun taking on water and with the volume of coin yet to be distributed, it has nowhere to go but down, from here. qft

AUR can be a success if merchants learn how to accept it as payment before consumers learn how to dump the coins on exchanges.
The clock is ticking.
In other news.. AUR has disappeared off CMC?
..aaand it's gone. Just stale datapoints, since the block explorer is down. All hail our lord and master Balduro!! sieg heil! sieg heil!

I really do not get why Icelanders would dump their free coins? They have 0 risk with these coins and there is a chance they could become much more then $350. Of course there is the chance for it to go to 0 but since you have no money invested why would you not wait to see if these coins go back to $100 per coin or if an infrastructure is actually built for these coins they could become as valuable as BTC. Why would you not take the risk that it is a home run. $350 is not that much money so why not see if it becomes worth some big money. My guess in the next 24 hours we will start to see some selling because people would rather have cash and not take risks.
Little Timmy doesn't give a sht about risk/reward, all he wants is his dad to cash in his coins so he can go buy a new bicycle. The only motive I can see why Icelanders would redeem the coins is so they can convert to fiat and buy something of value. If their was some infrastructure in place where you could spend the coins - before the airdrop - I think things would turn out differently.
