Is there a easy guide to follow to forge?

Quote
Heatledger cryptocurrency server.

To install and run heatledger you need Java JDK 1.8 or higher installed, note that JDK is different from standard java distributions.

On ubuntu we use sudo apt-get install default-jdk package. For other platforms please look here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

For configuration settings see the conf/heat.properties files in the installation folder.

We're working to deploy downloadable client + server package with graphical forging UI on github before the forging rewards start paying on block 4320.

Meanwhile another, still technical way to set up forging:

Get JDK SE from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html
(Click accept license agreement radiobutton first)

Download and unzip https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger/releases

Define your own apikey, can be whatever string of characters, in conf/heat-default.properties

Start heatledger (Linux) or heatledger.bat (Windows)

run from command line the following after first making applicable changes to it:

Code:
curl -k -s http://localhost:7733/api/v1/mining/start/this%20is%20your%20secret%20phrase\?api_key=defined_in_heat-default.properties

If you don't have curl, download from the curl site

I currently see this after running heatledger.bat

Do i have to wait for all blocks to be pushed before I can execute the code?

Code:
curl -k -s http://localhost:7733/api/v1/mining/start/this%20is%20your%20secret%20phrase\?api_key=defined_in_heat-default.properties
402  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: January 04, 2017, 04:55:51 PM
If you truly never sell it. what is the difference between buying BTC and and burning the fiat in a fire?

Knowing you have BTC lets you sleep easy at night while having nothing doesnt.

Check top of this:

https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases

Make sure you backup SEED and local byteball folder first.

I cant backup because the client just open crashes not being on version 1.0

You can backup the local folder on windows search %localappdata% copy and paste byteball folder in this directory to to make a backup.

Accomplished, thanks.

They both followed the rules, I don't see what is wrong. Redirect your anger towards somebody/something else.

expose whatever your risk/greed sensors tell you is OK. If you get something for nothing then you got something for nothing (that's a good thing). If you lose your BTC, then your risk/greed sensors were wrong. Happens all the time. Relax - this isn't coercive - nobody will mind if you opt out.

dude if u understand a tiny bit of how bitcoin technology works u would understand there is no risk involved that ur BTC get stolen

all u do is send a tiny transaction or sign a message in both case u dont give away ur private key

not so sure about that: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address_reuse#Known_attacks
So, does it unsafe to sign a message? Huh

eventually.

So is signing safe or not wtf?

I just linked our ICO wallet with ByteBall. I hope everything works fine, as it was quite a hassle.

For now the BBs will just go into the foundation's assets. We will communicate next year what we are going to do with them.

Thanks!

Best regards,
Max

what ICO wallet? link? ...what do you mean "linked"?  Huh

He means this > http://transition.byteball.org/

Essentially free equity in the success of the Byteball project for all those invested in LISK.

I guess I'm kinda of a noob here, but Im getting really frustrated trying to link my funds.

Im using multibit as my wallet.  I sent the required amount to the address to link, I have 1 btc and sent the 0.00135 to byteballs address. however it says there is 0 in the address I sent it from. So I thought piss, Ill try sending a small amount to the address byteball wants to see my funds in, that seems to have disappeared now.

So I thought well ill try signing a message, but the address Im signing with contains 0 as well!

Is it a mistake using multibit? am i missing something?

Any help would be most appreciated

Same issue here but im using Armory.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 23, 2016, 07:58:30 PM
Should there be no issues doing the transition via Armory Wallet?

If you can sign a message no.
Actually you could do it with any wallet i think because you have 2 options to do it.

1) send micro transaction per bot instruction from your wallet
2) signing your byteball address with your btc wallet per bot instructions.

You can only be fuc*d if you do not have any BTC and neither your wallet can't sign a message.

I sent from my wallet but says my current balance of this address is 0 BTC because it is a mask address. My BTC's are held in an offline wallet.

EDIT: also signed a message from generated BTC address associated with my wallet and balance still = 0

Every DAPP that gets built is like a dividend payout for LISK holders. Not to mention the development team holding 10m to foster DAPP development Shocked

I plan to retire in 2017 at the age of 29.

Once ICO funds get released price is gonna BOOM. Everytime a new APP gets developed price is gonna BOOM then this thing is gonna' snowball into 2nd place on CMC.
