121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner's Luck on: October 05, 2018, 04:35:29 PM
I've seen beginners luck twice in my family.
First my little brother, who was then below legal age required to place bets, won single bet (football correct score) with odds x25 Shocked It was his first ever if I remember correctly.
Then my grandma, she started betting on matches we were watching on tv etc. and she had 6 consecutive wins, later during world cup her luck continued for group phase but it ended with knock-out phase and despite her effort she's unlucky since then

For me this one quite difficult, yeah, he could & should save it but I won't blame him that much.

Was Mignolet that bad that replacement was needed? I remember it was kind of surprise that Karius started appearing in LFC 1st team. And since very beginning he had problems with playing with his feet.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] How to Enable 2FA using Google Authenticator! on: October 05, 2018, 03:51:18 PM
Please correct me if I'm wrong:

  • There is no 2FA option for Bitcointalk.
  • Google authenticator 2FA (I think it's called time based 2FA?) is flawed as it assumes your computer is clean at the time of 2FA activation, if there is some kind of malware on your computer it could simply steal your 2FA key (secret key)

You should never use the same machine to log in and store 2FA keys. This is the whole point - your 2FA key is in one place, and your login/password in a completely different place. If your PC will be breached and login information was stolen - your account is still safe, and if you lose your device - auth codes are useless because nobody knows login/password or even what they suppose to open.

Even though you should not use the same device to get OTP and log in it is relatively safe to neglect this rule on mobile, since mobile environments often use means to isolate mobile apps from each other (Android phones are slightly more vulnerable compared to iOS but still mostly safe to use).

Stay safe!

Consider this scenario:
1. Your computer is infected with malware.
2. You set-up account on exchange and enable 2FA.
3. You fund your account on exchange from another device/ hardware wallet - you think you're safe, you're using hardware wallet and exchange account is secured by 2FA
4. After few days you find out that someone stole your coins from exchange - how this could happen???

Well, the answer is simple, points 1&2 - you received 2FA secret key on infected PC, so 2FA won't stop robbers.

125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites with auto-play or a place where I can use script. on: October 05, 2018, 01:56:47 PM
I think that any bigger gambling sites offers some kind of API which you can utilise to make use of scripts/ bots.
For example 999dice has apis for .NET and Java and raw web API which you can use with any scripting language.
Warning: there are scam accusations for 999dice, be sure to verify every bet.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: October 05, 2018, 01:48:40 PM
My parlay on Arsenal/RB Leipzig/Milan are doing well, even if the Italians had to sweat till 70th minute before going on a 3-goal rampage in 9 minutes.

Congrats man, what were the odds?
127  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Currently Best Means of Offline Storage? on: October 05, 2018, 01:41:56 PM
Offline computer? You can buy some hdmi stick type computer or raspberry pi if you prefer linux and store your coins there. Just never connect it to the internet and you should be safe unless someone steals the device.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are proofs of the real existence of the team important for an ICO? on: October 05, 2018, 01:32:13 PM
It depends who's your consumer, if he's rich than this may be good, but if he's basement dweller then he can compare you to rich capitalists and steer away from your offer, if he's something between he may get inspired to live life like you're living and he may be more inclined to invest.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: October 05, 2018, 01:23:22 PM
Bitcoin is cash.
Yeah, kind of digital/ electronic one.
Is cash safer than banking?
On some occurrences it is, on others it isn't.
Same for bitcoin.
If I would be selling car or home then bitcoin is much safer than bank. The whole agreement could be posted to the blockchain, you could see money travelling in real time in your wallet and after x confirmations you can be sure you really received money.
But for everyday use I think banks are still better, because 1$ = 1$ and you never know how much BTC is worth a the given moment.
Maybe there is/ will be wallet that will lock your BTC $ value for given time, so you can go out with $100 in bitcoins knowing it'll be always $100 for that day. Such wallet would be funded by getting cut of BTC rises and will use these funds to fund wallets with BTCs locked to $. Basically: you're risking part of possible rises in order to secure against potential downs.
130  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Issues with Lesfex on: October 05, 2018, 01:07:27 PM
Start gathering evidence as this isn't looking very promising and it's better to be safe than sorry.
I didn't do this on two occasions and on one I'm having problems even recognising with that company/ group I made business with,
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (XMR) could pump hard next week on: October 05, 2018, 01:00:12 PM
Well, if this pump won't be followed by a dump then surely you should buy some, what can you lose?
132  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to lose weight? on: October 05, 2018, 12:47:19 PM
just dont eat all the time

Well, I recently watched video about guy who didn't eat for 41 days.
I don't really thing that's the correct the way to do it, ever heard about yoyo effect?
But if you're really going to do this do remember about drinking things like juices, coca cola (can be sugar free) - some kind of drink with electrolytes.
And if you're going to fast for longer than few days then consult a doctor. Don't fast if you have some illness or not sure about your health state.
I've seen one person fasting nearly to death  Shocked

Another idea: you may try soylent. Or some commercial alternative e.g. Slim Fast.

You need to eat properly and drink plenty of water in order to lose weight effectively without having to exercise.

Some amount of exercise is good for losing weight. I know that metabolism boosting effects of (cardio) exercises has been challenged, but on my personal example I can say it gives you boost in motivation for dieting - if you get tired of exercises you don't want this effort to go to waste so you're motivated to keep dieting.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][COL] Color Platform: Colorful dApp Store! Think Color! on: October 05, 2018, 12:38:19 PM
The Signature Campaign will last until the TGE is over.
KYC is not required for the Bounty Campaign.

Ok, but is there a set date for that? I've seen that first pre-TGE recently finished, on roadmap it's mentioned that TGE will happen this month, but no exact date is specified.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Venezuela's Petro coin is not recognized by the community? on: October 05, 2018, 12:33:58 PM
How can you buy it? I was trying to get some info about it but their website was so cryptic  Grin I couldn't understand it.
Is it traded on any markets?
I was interested in it as it could be a hidden gem, but maybe it's just me being biased because for some funny reason I feel somewhat connected to Venezuela (don't get me wrong - I feel really bad for current situation in Venezuela and it's people, I'm from post-soviet country, the reason I'm talking about is something very different, something personal).
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the three most important parameters before buying a Cryptocurrency on: October 05, 2018, 12:27:48 PM
I think this should be in altcoin section.

‘Viable’ here simply means what is the currency used for?

Get rich quick. OK, with so many ICOs out there it's more like buying shares in some idea. Biggest problem is that the idea may be OK but it's execution is what matters the most. That's why we can see big increases in value when some already working site/ service accepts particular crypto (e.g. XMR and darknet markets).

Quote
You need to ask yourself in the next two decade will the currency appreciate in value

Wow, 20 years, that's way too far, I think first year is the most important, much altcoins will die in first year I think, so surviving first few months is very important.
136  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your business plan or how you are going to get rich? on: October 04, 2018, 04:46:10 PM
I'm planning to get rich by running Tourcoin!

http://tourcoin.info

You can get rich by this as well by offering tourists locations to travel to and guide to the best places for payment in TourCoin!

I'll offer you advice: make it like google maps, when you get "Local Guide" status and different levels for posting photos of different places, info about when shops are open, what can you buy in them etc. I would personally take part in something like that.

Hello everybody! A couple of years ago, I also thought about what kind of business to start. There were a lot of ideas: my own store, cafe or boutique, online store, etc. Now I have decided and am betting on sports on the site https://777score.com . I am completely satisfied with my choice. This is both convenient and profitable. I am going to promote this business and improve.

Is this your site? I don't see how you can make money on it, there are no ads (with adblock disabled), no ref links Huh

And as for my idea: I want to be a middleman, in crypto of course  Grin I'll offer free services for end user and make money on referrals and ad space. Stay tuned  Grin
Oh, and I want to make my service accessible for "Average Joe" so I'll be looking for people interested in crypto from countries using languages other than English to run localised versions of my site and in return I'll give them a cut.

I working full-time job, and running my own business project at spare time. I have no real free-time, and it's exhausting, but i think i'm getting there. Made some profits this month finally. Eternally happy for myself about that  Cool

Don't be shy, share your business with us, maybe you'll get new clients  Smiley
137  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank transfer to btc fraud on: October 04, 2018, 04:27:53 PM
Yes bank said it was fraudlent funds.

So the bitcoin buyer transfered not legit funds to my account.

Im surprised they still do this now days ?

Why are you surprised? "Now days" it's much easier to steal money from someone's bank account thanks to that most people have internet bank accounts, they can do bank transfers in few clicks. In the old days with paper cheques etc. it was much more difficult plus scammer/ robber would could be convicted for many different crimes (stealing cheques, forging signatures etc.).
138  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank transfer to btc fraud on: October 02, 2018, 02:26:41 AM
Wait, you're telling that you managed to get money out of your bank account but then found out that your account is closed?
If that's the case, then:

Its good idea to contact with bank ??
They'll contact you first.

Anyone have advice how to avoid this happening again?
Open bank account in country where banks don't care about their customers e.g. in Poland  Angry

How to turn into a millionaire?  Shocked Shocked

Help others.
No kidding.
That's my plan.
Where are you from? If you're native speaker of language other than English and into cryptocurrencies you may work with me, in near future I'm going to start a website that may get us all rich  Grin

1. Decide to be one

Most people will laugh at this, but this is one of the most important things to realise - you can achieve a lot, but you must do something. Deciding to become someone is a big step.

You just need to spend alot time to be good, you could be good at anything Smiley

That's true, but you don't need to be good at anything to be a millionaire.

Are you crazy? I lose U$ 21o.ooo I get crazy if I lose 1 million I Kill myself

Welcome to the club

PS A millionaire is someone who spent million on girls and shoes  Tongue, not someone who earned million.
