441  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info Possibly Exploited. Coins Stolen. on: November 06, 2014, 10:35:08 AM
Sounds like a tall tale to me
That said, would love to hear if there is an update/sequel to this story

Sounds like bullshit to me too. Obviously bitcoin can be stolen from blockchain but when it is it's usually the users fault for being lax on security someway. I don't buy this being in contact with the hacker bs unless you can provide more proof of it.

ManUtd is almost good enough for the title.

Lol, they're really not.

I'm sure they will battle for title next season.

I can't see why next season would be any different unless they can start playing well as a team this year. They've got the players and awesome strikers, but they're just not gelling of putting them in the back of the net.
443  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CANDYSTRIPES IS A SCAMMER on: November 05, 2014, 10:31:45 AM
Well first of all, you come off as a very immature person, so by your own logic you will more likely scam.

It's likely only a matter of time before Candystripes or Ejeculation or one of his other accounts scams. He has a history of dodgy behavior.

2. Foreigners are more likely to scam, it's a fact.

Foreigners to whom exactly? Everyone is a 'foreigner' to someone. This just shows how bigoted and moronic you are.
444  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tradefocus Signature campaign on: November 05, 2014, 10:25:24 AM
Yes he's been negative repped by a defaulttrust user....sorry about your loss such a small amount to scam.

People that invested lost hundreds

Then I hope they learned the lesson not to invest in ponzis or get rich quick scheme. You also shouldn't advertise for them. You gave them free promotion and enabled them to scam more people.
445  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loans [No Collateral] on: November 05, 2014, 09:29:09 AM
sir i am looking for a loan

and i want what are your conditions

and when to repay

and all conditions and based on my profile, you can give

Read the op. You're unlikely to get a loan with your account without any collateral so a loan is probably not worth it for you. Can you offer any collateral and how much are you looking to lend?
446  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-11-03] Richard Branson calls for tougher Bitcoin rules on: November 05, 2014, 09:26:06 AM
I agree, with him on board, we will fly to the Moon!!

If these regulations are fair and still encourage entrepreneurship, it might not be a bad idea.

There are competing Alt Coins, with aspirations of being more transparent and linking users identification to the currency, who will be doing better in the future, because it bends the knee to existing rules and regulations, governing traditional banking institutions.

That goes against most purist Bitcoiner's principles and goals.

There's 2 million unhappy people who want more decentralization and then 7 billion people who are content with the centralized system.

Reality is mainstream will never come into cryptos because of things like MtGox, all the scams and then the vulnerabilities of holding private keys.  Probably the best development I've recently seen is Fidor bank starting a crypto currency bank.

Mainstream will have no problem using digital currencies if there are regulated banks willing to hold their private keys and their funds can't be hacked, stolen or lost in a hard drive failure.

Why would things like MtGox put people off forever? Exchanges will get more trustworthy, but banks and other institutes can fail and you can lose your money too. Decentralized exchanges will also stop problems like we had with gox any way. I also think the beauty of bitcoin is that we can choose how we handle our money. If bitcoin keeps growing there will be bitcoin banks or insurance companies and for those who feel comfortable using them they can, but for everyone else we can keep our btc how we want to keep it.
447  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-10-29] ‘It is Impossible to Technically Ban Decentralized Cryptocurrencies on: November 05, 2014, 08:56:18 AM
They can 'ban' it's use, but obviously people can and will still use it, but what they'll do is throttle it and make it against the law to use, which is not what we want. We want to be able to spend it freely on things we wish to purchase and governments banning it would be a big blow to adoption.

Governments will never learn. When you try ban something that people obviously want it only pushes the activity underground and creates a lucrative market for 'criminals' to make a lot of money from it.
And they can't tax illegal things.

They don't seem too bothered about taxing other illegal things that they could easily legalize.
448  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-11-03] Richard Branson calls for tougher Bitcoin rules on: November 05, 2014, 08:51:01 AM
Quote
Sir Richard is understood to have pumped around $US30 million ($34 million) into Bitcoin ventures to date. Over $3 billion was poured into technology start ups and entrepreneurs last year alone, and the figure is expected to grow to $8  billion by 2018.

Branson is definitely someone we'd want on our side. If he accepted it for all his businesses it would be huge for bitcoin.

Agreed. He seems to have casually promoted bitcoin in the past, but hopefully since he's invested 30 million in btc ventures I can't see why he wouldn't offer bitcoin as a payment option for his own companies. Though we've had a slightly disappointing year I still think the future is bright for bitcoin and his involvement makes me even more optimistic.

Lol, they're really not.

That was some match at Emirates, who knew Anderlecht had it in them.

Liverpool gave a decent account of themselves. Seeing the lineup I thought Real would just walk through.

Agreed. I wish I'd have watched the Arsenal game instead now. Madrid were very mediocre. They should've slaughtered Liverpool after their recent performances.

Can I just check when this month's term ends/payday? Is it 18/11/14 or different for everyone? Thanks.

cool huffle is doing well.
gives 0 back to the community.
who cares about him Smiley

Uggh, I hate this kinda attitude and it's exactly why I don't bother with the chat there. Not everyone is a loser who spends all day on chat looking for handouts. Some people just like to gamble without mingling with the bickering kids on chat. I wish there was a way to bet anonymously so you didn't get pestered or annoyed by buffoons who don't have anything better to do.

Are there any places left for a Senior? My current deal ran out yesterday. Thanks.
Sure, just sign up.

The recruitment will be closed after the 1st Nov, because I want to reduce the number of people with payment dates between the 1st and the 15th.

Can I still be in? If so:

Are there any currently open fixed campaigns for a senior at the moment? Looking for 0.1. My deal on Luckybit will expire tomorrow and I don't really want to make a bet to re-enroll.
455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it exist a bitcoin wallet with 2FA? on: October 28, 2014, 08:37:29 AM
Aside from blockchain.info I don't believe there is any computer wallets with 2-factor, but I wish there was. Maybe someone should develop one. It's far too easy for those who are less tech-savvy to have their bitcoins stolen and this will hamper mainstream adoption in my opinion.

Paidverts (Thread)
Payment period: Weekly
Minimum posts: -
Payments:  0.00007 BTC per post ( Junior Members and Members)
Miscellaneous: Maximum 50 posts/week

good rate for jr member but no escrow...

It looks like it could possibly be ref spam. The signature has his ref link in, but you'd only have to wait one week for payment proof. He's not offering much per post anyway.
457  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: October 27, 2014, 02:12:02 PM
So is there any decent deals open to Full Members at the moment? Preferably a fixed rate campaign? Really hoping Pd or a new campaign will announce soon.
PRCdice.eu is quite good paying. 0.0125 BTC a week isn't too bad. Even if another good paying campaign shows up, you can quit after one week.

PRCdice.eu is probably your best bet, but it's for double the posts at a minimum of 25 per week. Luckybit has places open every 1-3 days but you need to make one bet on their site to sign up.

that is good, because before the bet requeriment get a place was close to impossible.

Not it is feasible

It was, you just had to make sure you jumped on a spot. If you were already enrolled it was easier because he opens the slots very shortly after he sends the payment out. Now you have to bet a lot of people will be too stingy to sign up lol.

459  Other / Off-topic / Re: I fell in love with mechanical keyboards... on: October 27, 2014, 12:50:41 PM
Thing with mechanical keyboards is they are super loud, it's like the 1990s again. If they could make a quiet mechanical keyboard I would be interested, I prefer to not have everyone hear me clacking away when I type. Haha.
They do make quiet ones, but being able to hear exactly when it clicks is one of the larger benefits of them - or maybe they've accomplished that still with the quieter ones. The clicking sound isn't like the ancient beige serial keyboards with the goofy elasto-cord with the very dull but loud sound, but is generally quick and precise, a bit more like a typewriter (but without the loud belt sound.... or maybe that was just mine... Cheesy).

I think the only reason people like these keyboards are for nostalgia purposes. They do sound nice and whenever I use one it does seem to feel more reassuring for some reason, but I think it's just a physiological thing more than anything else.
460  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-10-24] CCN: UK Government to Continue Supporting Bitcoin on: October 25, 2014, 09:27:39 AM
Well I'm glad it's not negative news which it could easily have been. If the gov wanted to throttle its use they easily could. Glad to see cex being one of the first major UK retailers to accept and pay out in btc too. Looking good for the UK at the minute. I hope some more big retailers get on board soon to push more adoption.
