Noticed that after posted. Still really good double in a short space of time.

Holy crap back to back blocks! Should move from solo to here I think!

It seems like the don't want to let the average person participate in the space possibly allowing the big miners to have monopoly over it in the region? Who's to say they won't one day step into the mining space and say "it belongs to us now".

You can use VPN's create your own proxys or even run your own relay. Further you can use VM inside VM and sandbox them if you are really paranoid.
Tor is usefull but you must use it correctly or it becomes a security issue. Best practice is to run your own VPN servers use chains like proxychains to link your networt routing via multi layer say - Host>VPN>VM>Socks5>VM>VPN>TOR>NET
Is also best to harden your systems with firewalls and IP tables. Do not forget to custom your torrc file.
If you are looking to blockexit nodes in country's where they may be "bad exits" you can add lines to the config to block specific country exit nodes like so.
EntryNodes {ca} StrictNodes1 ExitNodes {ug} StrictNodes1
Or to chain them you can use ExitNodes {ug},{us},{fr} StrictNodes 1 EntryNodes {ch},{jp},{nl} StrictNodes 1
Very impressive set of measures. Sorry I'm somewhat short of sendable merits and couldn't afford more Generally speaking, I think both security and privacy threats are context sensitive and relative with a linear behavior while our security measures stackup rather exponentially, security wins. I don't believe in cat & mouse analogies in this subject, I think no breach happens ever if you are aware of the incentives and committed to your policies. Thanks for the merit! This is just one chain structure than can be use you can cut them down to a more simplified versions Host>VPN>VM>TOR the use things like mac spoofing and user agent modification to hide your browser and mac addressing. or for mobile use look to setup your own VPn with raspberry PI called Onion PI. https://learn.adafruit.com/onion-pi/overview

Why do bitmain only offer the hydro version and the antbox on the cn website?
I Like the idea of the watter cooling it would help for those who have issues with heat and mining in smaller locations thought the price could be a little better considering the price of the S9 right now.
I like the antbox as a one-stop solution though I do think you may be cheaper buying a larger container and building one out to suit but as a commercial buy in option I can see them selling a few.

Interesting idea I did always think why is there not a liquid cooled asic miner much like the CPU systems. I would be concerned about the glass from the tank or possibly what ever is used to seal the tank reacting with the oil over time or with the heat causing some kind of reaction.
What tickness did you select in the tank? what type of glass is it made from?

The address I sent it to wasn't used before. So why is it still confirming even though they have the money? It's 100 confirmations right now
If the funds did not arrive back to the wallet your specified at the time then chances are you have been scammed. The funds will continue to confirm in the holding address as more blocks are written to the chain this is normal and will continue untill the funds are sent again to a new wallet. There are very few trusted bitcoin mixers out now most just steal the users money. The unspent part just lets you know the funds have not been spent and are available in that wallet address which is most likley held by the scam mixer.

What was the end result did you get this to work. Been having issues on a RPI 2 B board with my own daemon I am working on. My guess is its a dependency issue that's caused this. I would be warey of pre-installed on imaged could be asking for trouble if its been modified. You could try add all of the list below to allow for building I got it to work on mine with the following. sudo apt-get install git sudo apt-get install build-essential libtool autotools-dev automake pkg-config libssl-dev libevent-dev bsdmainutils sudo apt-get install libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-chrono-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-test-dev libboost-thread-dev sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev sudo apt-get install software-properties-common sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev sudo apt-get install libminiupnpc-dev sudo apt-get install libzmq3-dev sudo apt-get install libqt5gui5 libqt5core5a libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev qttools5-dev-tools libprotobuf-dev protobuf-compiler sudo apt-get install libqt4-dev libprotobuf-dev protobuf-compiler

In the industry today you have to mine at scale to make serious money. People forget that people were mining with asics well before the price jumped up and will continue to do so untill around 2140 long after all the members here are dust so do I think it's a good time to get into mining.
short answer yes..
Reason.. right now you can buy a lot of miners if you hold a fair amount of coins why not put them to work and build a farm with some friends split the costs the last bitcoin won't be mined untill around 2140 so the miss-information you read about oh don't mine its useless is crap..
I would say if you are into bitcoin for the serious long run and not just here as its the "boom word" right now then yes get into mining as you have a lot to learn if you are still wondering if it would be a good idea to mine or not.
2nd as already predicted the price of a single bitcoin should in theory be close to 10 million once they are all mined out! as the total amount of coins 21 million is equal to the total wealth of the world.. so it's by design not by accident. do not forget this. and happy mining!

yes I was doing some tests I have TX that are
Total Input 0.07330624 BTC Total Output 0.07327012 BTC Fees 0.00003612 BTC Fee per byte 14.054 sat/B Time to confirm - + 10 Minutes 43 Sec
and I tested another
Total Input 0.11017229 BTC Total Output 0.11016775 BTC Fees 0.00000454 BTC Fee per byte 1.816 sat/B Time to confirm - + 27 Minutes 12 Sec
Both tx's were broadcast after last block announced for comparison. While the lower fee TX was for higher amount was interesting to see position from tip move for both TX I do agree lower fee TX is what people want like you said in original post some people leave it to tug of war game and let wallet decided. many just send and forget.

Very good write up and topic I like to keep my eye on the blocks and the unconfirmed rate and wait for a suitable time to send the transactions helps even with low fee waiting untill a block is announced on the explorer and sending at this moment I find even with the lower end of the scale from 5-15 sato/byte you can still be positon close to the tip for the next block. @LoyceV best consolidate those euros

Try this. You many need to use sudo command for the swap space. Type "dmesg", [ 1377.575785] Out of memory: Kill process 12305 (cc1plus) score 905 or sacrifice child [ 1377.575800] Killed process 12305 (cc1plus) total-vm:579928kB, anon-rss:546144kB, file-rss:0kB If you see output like this, your machine does not have enough memory to compile. You can fix this by adding more swap. To add a 1gb swap file, in /swapfile: sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=1024M count=1000 sudo mkswap /swapfile sudo swapon /swapfile After compiling sudo swapoff /swapfile sudo rm /swapfile Please post any further issues.

100% scam. Do not buy first time you load the account it will be recovered or funds removed.
|
|
|
Try add more swap space this should fix the issue.
Code above in previous post
|
|
|
free dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/swap.img bs=1024k count=1000 mkswap /var/swap.img swapon /var/swap.img free make -f makefile.unix It looks like compile may run out of memory. Running make runs lots of process which use more memory. The problem above occurs when your system runs out of memory You can try 'free -m' option to check
