502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: March 10, 2020, 05:06:48 PM
What they don't tell you is to get the BAT tokens you have to KYC with some outside service I feel a browser that has it's root's as a "privacy" browser should really re-think the way the rewards are sent out why should a privacy browser make users KYC to get the rewards for viewing adverts?

Very poor if you ask me and it's not even made clear when you start viewing ads that KYC is required or you don't get your BAT tokens
503  Economy / Services / Advertising Your Product Or Service on: March 10, 2020, 04:08:27 PM
Hello Bitcointalk!

We are looking to add some further crypto advertising to our site we have 4 available spots on our site for banner advertising on a rotation basis or static basis we have been pushing some free advert's for some time now for services like bitcointalk and litecoin and some other project's that we like or used and now the traffic has started to grow over the last 6 months to the point we are now looking to add 4 paid spot's to the site and drop some of the free advertising on the site.

We provide Binance traders access to a wide range of metric for trading and allow custom telegram and email alerts for prices with the growing traffic we feel it's now time to drop the free adverts and look for some paid advertising.

We accept most types of adverts from casino's to exchanges to coin's to mixers we would rather not push ICO's unless the project has some merit and we can verify the details but most other advertising will be accepted.

Our site is currently growing and we have a fair amount of unique traffic and returning traffic each month with a fair amount of click thru traffic being generated for some of the adverts on the site already the traffic is crypto related traffic from trader community using it for price's and direct telegram alerts for price data.

We also have a growing telegram and discord community where we could place some advertising for your project.

Here are some of the banners we have on the site at this time.

Free advert's will be dropped in favor of paid advertising to ensure your product has prime location and view time we can offer rotation or static to suit your needs.

505  Economy / Reputation / Re: [RESOLVED] MagicByt3 - refusing to honor his auction contract on: March 10, 2020, 09:37:20 AM
Your reputation isn’t completely ruined. If you came back for another auction, stating that you understand why your auction caused so much confusion, and that this time around it will be an auction using the same format as everyone else uses..that will go a long way.

Perhaps utilize MinerJones as your shipping arm.

Do this and I’d completely support you and so would many others.  Dont make that your first and last sale. After a successful auction or two this will all be forgotten about and behind you.

Thank you I have been talking with MJ escrow about a second sale where I will call upon the experience of MJ to conduct the next one thank you for your input and I'm sure in time we can put this behind us I'm sure everyone was happy with the silver and I learned the process here so next time round thing should be super smooth.

I'm here.

Thanks Techshare!

I am glad you got the bar in good order and thank you to MJ Escrow for being the middle man.

And thank you to the community for your advice and help along the way @minerjones, @Lastofthev8's @Corrosive  and anyone else who gave advice.

507  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 254 blocks solved! on: March 09, 2020, 04:02:19 PM
Come on my two little s3+'s I actually can't believe how long they have been running without issue bought them back when they were first released  nd still solid after all these years with no chips down they don't make em like they used to.

All they need is just 1 block to enjoy there retirement I may even frame a hashboard from one if they find a block!

If I hit a block with one of my S1/S3's/Gekko, that would be enough for me to keep them on for life..
Then again, if they were to hit now, I seriously doubt there would be another block anytime soon for them.
However, the last winner here would likely agree to keep the old timers running, especially when they dont really consume much energy.

I agree I still have many miners in boxed as can't afford the power cost here for them but the S3's are fine cost very little to actually run and they give me some heaters which in turn means I could turn off a few storage heaters in the house.

I was thinking what if the bitcoin price was to fall back to sub 5k levels for extended period I think we would see a lot of the larger mines struggle again and turn off in turn this could lead to the mining market having a reversal swing back to the small miners this is why I ended up not selling off my gear and just holding onto it for future use I can see a time where we could see something like this happen I don't believe we will always have this uptrend of hashrate but at some point when the price comes down we may have a period where the smaller guys could come back into play.

Food for thought Smiley

511  Economy / Reputation / Re: RXALTS - Abusive messages PM and asking for TRUST REMOVAL on: March 06, 2020, 02:37:04 AM
I usually ignore such topics, the only reason I am replying to your topic is the fact that I know you from the mining board, and you seem to be a good member there.

RXalts is not a DT member and his ratings don't show to anyone except to those who have included him in their trust list, as far as the last update from LoyceV's website, they are only two members.

In fact, even if he was a DT member I wouldn't be too concerned as long as it's not a type 3 trust flag, as many people know by now the trust system, especially the tags, are far from accurate and anybody with two or more brain cells shouldn't be blindly counting on it for any dealings.

You should have blocked him to avoid unnecessary PMs

I am not aware of a method that allows you to block PMs, the alternative is to ignore them i.e., don't open them.

Nevermind, you can

Stop acting like a spoiled child. A user was rude to you? Ignore them and block their PMs if you can't stand it and move on.

I think maybe Theymos should take the whole trust system down, it seems to be causing more harm than good, a fine portion of computer resources, as well as community members' resources, is being wasted on it, I think we will do a lot better with only the flag system specifically the third one.

Thank you mikey but I think we have reached resolution for now with this matter.
512  Economy / Reputation / Re: RXALTS - Abusive messages PM and asking for TRUST REMOVAL on: March 06, 2020, 02:35:52 AM
Don't PM me again..

I have removed you trust...

Goodbye...
See how easy that was?
No need to blame the forum for everything. It all starts with you and how you interact with people  Wink

What goes around comes around..

I think I've put up with enough from this user though.

513  Economy / Reputation / Re: RXALTS - Abusive messages PM and asking for TRUST REMOVAL on: March 06, 2020, 02:27:08 AM
Will upload his messages once I am home  Smiley unless you want to do the right thing and show in chronological order magicbyte.

Don't PM me again..

514  Economy / Reputation / Re: RXALTS - Abusive messages PM and asking for TRUST REMOVAL on: March 06, 2020, 02:23:25 AM
He asked that I not respond. I didn’t respond and then he sent a second PM saying he left me negative trust. He has lost it. I actually offered to remedy the situation and scrap it but he wanted to play tough. Smh.

Both of you should just step back and remove those ratings. And stop this PM publishing nonsense too. Which one wants to be an adult in this situation?

Done...

Forums a joke these days..

Enjoy

Did someone contaminate Bitcointalk's water cooler with some butthurt virus...

Stop acting like a spoiled child. A user was rude to you? Ignore them and block their PMs if you can't stand it and move on.

He is on the ignore list but his PM's continue to arrive.

519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HTC to release a blockchain router to let users run a full bitcoin node at home on: March 05, 2020, 06:22:30 PM
This probably won't end well routers are inherently riddled with security holes what makes them think anyone would want to store crypto on this device is beyond me.. Further to this how to they expect people to keep up with the size of the chain if there is on-board storage?

Seems like a ploy to make some money from the people who don't know how to run a node and want to be
seen with the "latest" tech in there homes.

I think they need to re-think this idea and make something more robust.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: SEGWIT LTC.TBDICE.ORG 0.5% fee SOLO MM LTC/DGE POOL 3K+ LTC/7K+ DGE blks solved on: March 05, 2020, 06:17:33 PM
all the above is going on and people still mine here? why? there are many other LTC solo pools... that do not fuck up your payments...

Agreed shocking people don't take the warnings the pool OP is blatantly ignoring the issues raised the pool must have someone at the helm as some issues were fixed apart from the missing payments.

I moved to here much better pool with many options for solo and multi coins also they have a telegram with active staff.
