381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: January 06, 2017, 12:44:52 PM
I think Nav is a great coin, but i wonder if they gonna do some extra Pr maybe to get some attention around the world ?

Cause without usage its just another pos coin.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity ∞ AE ∞ TESTNET live [PoS x PoW | Smart Contracts | Merkle Trees] on: January 06, 2017, 09:05:53 AM

No. That's not good for me. Im not investing but I might follow the thread just to remind everyone of how this is shaping up to be a scam.

It's a free world out there, you can do anything you want.
From our perspective we will make sure all the token sale info will be available when ready, including how the funds will be handled.

Stay tuned for more info in the near future, then people can make their own conclusions.

In the meantime, the testnet is out for people to delve into it.

I think no one actually want a bitcointalk member as escrow lol, i think they are more aiming to respected people in the crypto.
There are many people in the crypto world that are willing to help a great project.

383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity ∞ AE ∞ [PoS x PoW | Smart Contracts | Merkle Trees] on: January 05, 2017, 10:12:58 PM
This looks good.

Are there any details about coin distribution and ico start time ?

It sucks that it will taka a year before the network comes live, a lot can happen in that time. Btc tripled or even more.
Makes it much more risky.

Wish the team good luck and hope to see some video's of the product.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: December 29, 2016, 08:43:17 PM
Thanks to all for the answers!

One final question: the NAV website offers several downloads. I just want a wallet to keep my NAV in. Will the thin client do this?

Yes for sure, the thin client is a very easy wallet to hold your Nav Coin. You could also keep it in a mobile wallet. As you like Smiley

I Like Nav coin just the way iT works is way to hard are the devs around on this forum ?

Can you tell me if your looking to make the full node wallet easier.

And the navtech aswell people dont wanna delete a full appdata folder
And make a config file.

Also people want a easy anon send without adding servers.

Just My opinion why this coin is not getting more attention atm
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: December 29, 2016, 12:05:50 PM

I dont agree with Him About 2/3 cause eth and bitcoin Will go up but a little compared to others.

I made a top 3 that Will be better 2017

-Factom
-Nav coin
-Safecoin

Not cause they might be better, but a small market cap Will easy increase x5 to xxx but i dont see bitcoin
Do that ever in short term. Also bitcoin atm is Also a risky buy to much volume is centrale in China and with
Their bad capital outflow controle i do see them put a rem on bitcoin if the rise continu and the outflow to bitcoin.

Eth got more chance if raiden, sharding and Casper(Pos) succeed. But only time can tell.
Im in crypto cause i love iT, but i buy the Coins that brings me the most. I think he Didnt include that.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: December 28, 2016, 10:06:12 PM
Hello, I'm new to this so please bear with me. I read the past 10 pages of comments and the website but can't find answers to these two questions:

1. Are all parts of this coin's software fully open source with no closed source software at all?

2. How is this coin better than Monero?

Thanks!

Hi mate,

1) Yes. NavTech was decentralised a week ago
2) Very easy to use.
GUI similar to BTC. Anon send only a tick in the QT wallet.
POS stage (no mining anymore) with up to 5% interest per year. Eco Friendly.
Transparent Dev team and community.
Very Attractive price.
Multi platform. QT wallet for OSX, Windows, Linux. Android wallet.
Great roadmap for 2017 including Polymorph, Pi stake wallet, Androind anon and stake wallet. IOS wallet. etc.
Also NAV coin is the only crypto that is 100% anonymous.

Thanks for the answers! Just so I'm clear, "decentralized" = 100% open source?

Also, about 100% anonymous, Monero says they are too (and shadow, etc.). How are they not 100% anonymous and Nav is?

Each coin has a different approach to be anonymous. Monero may be difficult to trace but not impossible. Check the below to see NAV in action:
https://github.com/navcoindev/navcoin-media/blob/master/infographics/navtech-infographic.jpeg

Also since NAV is in POS stage, it is more secure than POW.

Decentralized is mostly 100% open source but it's more about there is not a single point of authority.
Like for example a bank is centralized they own your money if they get bankrupt you lose a lot.
With decentralized tech that won't happen cause there is not one control point. Your a small string in a big spiderweb some might disconnect but the web still is there.
Google decentralized in Google and go to pictures and I'm sure you will understand it after.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: December 28, 2016, 09:56:30 PM
Funny people are not talking about Factom foundation joining the hyperledger project.

People like to discuss price more here I guess.

Yes link here

https://www.hyperledger.org/announcements/2016/12/28/hyperledger-wraps-up-2016-by-welcoming-eight-new-members

I know but it's funny that people here screaming moon or dead but real news is left to the side cause I guess it's less fun.

Can anybody explain why me why Monero is so high market cap compared to other anon coins.

Is it more centralized then others or ? Im looking more into anon coins now but i so many pages to read Cheesy

iT'S THE OPPOSITE, iT'S completely DECENTRALIZED! Smiley

WOOPS SORRY BOUT THE CAPS LOCK. Wink

Yea sorry guess i need more coffee Cheesy i ment decentralized ofcourse.

But i wonder is navcoins just as decentralized ?

Can anybody explain why me why Monero is so high market cap compared to other anon coins.

XMR is the widely used in dark net market, so supply= buy buy buy= high price

So thats the biggest advantage its already widely used compared to other coins out there. Nav , Zcash (wish i dont see as fully anon)

Im mainly looking for the pro en cons of Xmr and Nav

I don't understand why you are all so emotional in this topic. Most of you says they are in for the long run, but then react at every price swing. It seems like you either invested more than you should to react this way, or expected to get a return sooner than a few years.

This is not how a long term investment work. Just put your money in the coin you believe will success, diversify on some other project with also good expected future and then stop following the day to day market.
I only check the price and the news once a month, and that allowed me for example on the ETH to get a 1000% ROI, while it could have only been much lower if i were to follow the daily activities, because of panic sell.
In some case, you will end up with nothing because the coin will be dead, that's to be expected, but the few coins that will success in your investment will cover your loss easily. So stop worrying, stop discussing daily price, and be there really for the long term development of the coin.

Simple explanation; margin trading.

Many opened a long position that they now need to protect or lose personally I don't margin trade. Unless it's really really a bargain )). But I also believe it can go down more then this point. Aiming for a drop to the 200k - 150k zone then I will make some nice rebuys.

Bitcoin broke the 6200 level and I believe there should not be a lot resistance to the 7000 zone unless China make some ban accusations again. Just be careful in Alts atm.

My best trade was selling at 360 while it was less then a day before that 420. (Bought at 220 but still)
Sometimes better be a little late then holding them in the end.

Crazyivan I can see btc go even higher with all bad news around the world. Would you like to hold many euros, dollars or Bitcoin Wink I'm from Europe and I'm happy to change all euro to btc or special commodities.

Is anyone really going to dump to you sub .002? We saw the market hold .002 and everyone who wanted out since then has exited already; I guess some aggressive shorts can slam support and run stops to catch margin calls but besides that what organic selling is left?

I think we will, we were there 3 weeks ago with a lower Btc price so if btc keeps beeing bullish i cant see why that aint possible, but only time can tell us. In My opinion btc aint done yet unless something happens Like a ban

Actually for ones im not really bullish on factom anymore, M2 only support about 47 entry's per second i expected a lot more.

This mean the inflation atm is higher then the burnrate can be in m2. Hmmm.

Current rate. 2,70$ means every coins brings 2700 entry credits

2700x73000(coins inflation) = 197.1 million entrys needed to have a same burnrate as inflation.

So that means at least 76 Transaction per second is needed to substain $2,70.

When i heared this i sold a lot coins and i was really a long term supporter. So im not saying this to fud or anything i like a lot what they do.

There is zero inflation and the total supply is and will be decreasing until M3!

What I really don't get is the high measures for Factom, that everybody seem to believe they already should have a higher burning rate, while it's totally normal that others have 20% inflation per year!

For me that depends on what the coin offers really.

Exactly dude. We are already pumped and have been pumped for months but all this little news causes the mini pumps and price sustain and then the people talking about becoming the next Ethereum 100x overnight....either way...Factom is a great project but I will be looking to accumulate hard under 180k honestly.

Im out till i hear they are improving the servers, to at least x5 from this.

Once more, please do not feed the troll. Please do not make me repeat this every day. There s no sensible discussion with Papu. All he tries to do is present himself as a crypto magician who makes tons of money on each pump and dump when in reality he probably does not own 2k FCT.

So let us stay on course. Has anyone tried contacting Exodus regarding Factom wallet? They said after M2. Well M2 s here.

Actually its not here yet, they announced it but its not up and running. Is the wallet support online already ?

Be patient and it will be there.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: December 21, 2016, 09:53:53 AM
420k was top guys. M2 isn't justification enough to start permanently adding millions of dollars to factoms market cap. It's going to sway up and down here and there but generally a downtrend...take profits where you can.

Can you now finaly stop it you said the same at 240 and now its 380.

You obvious dont understand even 1% of the economics behind factom, you annoy so many people here not cause you think it go down or it might but just cause it keeps the fud here 24/7. No wonder people dont return to the factom forum.
Your 1 on 1 swap theorie with 5 cent entry credits made for sure a lot people laugh.

Make yourself a factom papou factom price prediction forum (guess no one will join though, but that shows how much we care).

It can go down or up, serieus lets get some informative talk here.

Test for the bounty compain Wink

Btw i would loved to buy but serieus it will dump hard cause they give 20% for rewards.

Thats insane why would people pay for this still ?

And the minimum market cap they are aiming for is around 2,5 million sorry to say thats just too much
I will buy it off exchanges

Less than half that actually - minimum viable investment is 150,000 ETH = 1.15m by today's price

Also - the 20% for rewards includes a large allowance for referrals that we set deliberately high to accommodate the most we might ever need. Unused bounty funds will go into the miner rewards pool to payout for workloads undertaken during the scale-up period.

Yea 1.15 = 40% indeed now make it 60 with rewards and eventually mining will go fast in 3 years
