Bitcoin posted strong gainz today breaking above the $9,000 level and rallying to a high of $9,418.46 on moderate volumes. Recovering around 61.8% of last weeks high of $10,074 bitcoin increased the de-coupling narrative against the S&P500 as it fell 1.75% today vs bitcoins 5% gain.

With much fanfare and not a overt amount of to do, bitcoin sailed into a new epoch as its third halving happened earlier today at 19:23 UTC.

As the final block was found and the message it contained was revealed bitcoin faithful around the World celebrated across social media. It was a pretty fun day. Well done.

While price gainz have remained modest since the dip from $10k, bullish sentiment remains fairly high as hodlers look on with interest as the reduced block reward and rampant fiat printing will continue to impact price over the coming summer.  #dyor

that being said..does seem to be a missed marketing opportunity not to roll out some sort of update every four years to coincide with the halving

Lets face it..this appears to be a normal correction on a correction. The meteoric rise from the pandemic dip has bubbled off and we are now experiencing a normal zone of profit taking and consolidation imho.

If we close above $8.5kish on the weekly I think that sets a good case for bullish consolidation. If we close below that then lower lows might be on the table and possibly a dip into the $7k's. If bitcoin falls below $7k I fear we will be in for a very rough year. #dyor

Clinging to 0.618 short fib support below the cloud. A bounce back to the MA 100 is possible but edging towards the shallow pool of liquidity just ahead is more likely.  #dyor
