21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Where to find ICO development Team on: March 25, 2019, 02:33:48 PM
Instead of looking for a team, why not outline the positions you need to run your project and advertise for someone who can fill that position? This way you get more diverse individuals and a wide pool of skills and personalities.
22  Other / Off-topic / Re: advertising question on this forum on: March 25, 2019, 02:26:35 PM
Your post isn't suited for this board, it would be a better fit in the beginners and help or Meta board as it's an inquiry about the forum.

How do I advertise on this site?

What are you advertising? The services site linked above is a good option for promoting your service.
You can specify the nature of your market and get a more detailed response.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Importance of Keeping Track of Your Cryptocurrency on: March 25, 2019, 02:19:24 PM
I never leave my assets on an exchange except when purchasing or selling and putting up orders (which I only do one at a time) so I do not really need to track them. Just need a portfolio app to monitor their prices and exchanges traded on.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are PoS and PoW mining? Introduction to the Masternodes. on: March 25, 2019, 02:16:08 PM
Let's start with the fact that cryptocurrency mining methods can be divided into 2 types: Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS).

I always thought each algorithm had it's own mining process, cause there are many more algorithms such as DAG, thought they might also have their own miners.
Well detailed post, I would surely be doing follow up research on this and how to mine without hardware
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much time you spend to read forum post ? on: March 25, 2019, 02:11:03 PM
Well, am in a bounty campaign and that requires me to reach a minimum requirement weekly, but I love reading knowledge shared by others and also following relevant arguments. I sometimes surpass the bounty requirements so I can say I also love sharing when necessary.
26  Other / Meta / Re: [RUIN THE FUN] Possible April Fools Ideas Of Theymos on: March 24, 2019, 07:36:34 PM
Any actual prank would most likely not work out as the community would be prepared for it, so instead that opportunity can be used to implement a new system, which limits any user that has not earned a single merit from wearing signatures or avatars regardless of their amount if airdropped merits
27  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Campaigns Should Be Self Moderated - Edited on: March 24, 2019, 07:20:30 PM
It really does not hurt much if a couple of people apply on an already full campaign without reading the rules. It would be much of a bigger issue to lock up threads of open campaigns and only allow comments when you have an announcement.
It's much easier, but not ideal especially when you are trying to portray transparency and accountability.
There are other issues to be treated on the thread, payments, et all.
Self moderated threads is also not advisable
28  Other / Meta / Re: Spam Attack On Multiple Thread With A Lot Of Newbies Account on: March 24, 2019, 07:15:33 PM
SPECIAL NOTE: Its very strange to see that all the user id starts with the number of 1739. Look like its their favourite prefix.

This just means the account were created in quick succession, and increases the likely hood that they are all related or created by the same person. So by this the forum can get rid of them all at the same time if they are found guilty of a ban able offense.

P.S, you don't get to choose your preferred id number which is added to your profile.
29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes newbie makes in trading resulting to losses on: March 24, 2019, 07:09:00 PM
The reality of trading is as a newbie you are bound to make one mistake or the other resulting in loss. It's a learning process, reason why you are advised to start at small regardless of the amounts at your disposal.
Trading takes time and experience.
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience is the main key of success on trading platform. on: March 24, 2019, 07:06:09 PM
Timing is the main key of success. If it was about patience alone, then you would likely hold out the peak and become a bagholder if it drops waiting to sell at any price. Understand the market and act when the time is right. Have a strategy. Do not bear the regret of selling to early or too late.
31  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I sell Bitcoin BTC on: March 20, 2019, 05:30:37 PM
Why would any one be interested in selling bitcoins at half the market price, when you could get the actual value for it selling on an exchange? Bitcoin has enough liquidity to support such amount of trades, so there should be no problem there.
There are so many red flags here, and it would be best to have a DT member look into this.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘Bitcoin Is Not Money’ Because We Cannot Print It – Banks on: March 20, 2019, 05:25:51 PM
If Bitcoin is not currency, then we should no longer be taxed (or differently). I don't know if you follow my reasoning.

I do, if it is not considered as a monetary asset by the banks, than government should not task that owners of bitcoins. But different governments have different opinions and stands on cryptocurrency, not all tax holders and not all choose not to recognize it.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “Cryptos” - A new tv show about cryptocurrency on: March 18, 2019, 09:38:46 PM
I have unfortunately not watched any tv show or movie which is cryptocurrency themed, although it has been mentioned in one or two movies in passing. (The bigbangtheory also had one episode which revolved around bitcoin mining in the early days)
It would be good if Bitcoin movies could be promoted more on the forum and other sites to increase popularity
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The ICOs must be followed by us on: March 18, 2019, 09:14:09 PM
Current projects which I have recognized to have huge potential: countinghouse, bidooh and mobu, the first two are past the ICO stage and are already listed on exchanges, and the last is an STO, whose signature u have in right now.
This are very good projects with low price and market cap.
35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can I start a signature rental service on: March 18, 2019, 09:07:38 PM
I have seen posts such as this in the service and marketplace section of the forum, with members demanding a pay to promote a personal signature or that of a bounty for another member. So, yes you can start such a service. You would have yo be very careful though to avoid promoting a scam project. And you would need to rank up to be in higher demand.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Sink to $1,850 Despite Bullish Crypto Momentum on: March 18, 2019, 09:05:04 PM
Bitcoin below $2000 seems very unlikely, but I have learnt nit to rule out any scenario in this market. But this is just an opinion of one and as such does not hold much weight. Can Bitcoin drop to zero? Yes it can. But is it likely to? No!
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction For 2018 To 2020 on: March 18, 2019, 09:02:29 PM
The price of bitcoin has dropped rapidly since March of 2018 when this thread was created. 2019 has been a slow year, just like 2018. Very little activity. 2020 is the year most predict bitcoin would finally see some real sustainable growth. With the Bitcoin halving coming up and ETFs already getting approved, we could be optimistic
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Volume on: March 18, 2019, 08:46:01 PM
Would have been helpful to include links on your post as that will help us analyse better. Some exchanges use fake volumes to attract more investors to their site, but there are also those with legitimate figures. The problem is sites like CMC aggregate the entire figures to create the owns, and it can sometimes be misleading.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding multiple altcoins on: March 18, 2019, 08:32:23 PM
I hold multiple currencies and except they are built on a different platform, I would have them in a single wallet. Depending on the time period in which I plan to hodl, I could lock it up in a hardware wallet, but occasionally for trades I leave on an online wallet.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Capitalization on: March 18, 2019, 08:28:40 PM
Firstly, the market capitalization should not concern you much as an investor, it is not a relevant factor and just a way of aggregating the total amount in circulation in fiat currencies.
In smaller currencies it can be easily blown up by a few transactions.
Market cap is the product of the tradng volume and the price
