True colors?
Are you on crack?  I never hid my goal: Make Money.
I invested in Active Mining because I believed Ken could make me money.

This is not a fraternal organization or a religious club, Knybe.
This is a business and the goal is to make money.

Sorry you feel rejected, Knybe.

If Ken makes me money, he is my Hero and he and I will eat steak.
Kleeck is just the second coolest guy in this thread and that is why he is invited.

cool your jets pal, I hardly feel rejected... you flatter you.
ahhh how the ignore list doth grow.
563  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 24, 2013, 08:28:14 PM
Just to be clear about the steak dinner.

None of you were invited. It will just be me, Ken and Kleeck.

Peace Out.

It is interesting how I post something simple, and you all, like a bunch of drunk macaques playing polo on the backs of three legged half blind Jack Russel terriers go off and plan a party that will never happen.

On the other hand, it is a lesson on the principle of how Nature abhors a vacuum, and in a news/informational vacuum, people will invent crap.

The ideal scenario is that Ken pulls through, a product gets manufactured which mines and which gets sold, there is a viable exchange, the price goes up, I sell some of my holdings, bitcoin is over $300, I cash out and never have to return to this thread to read the nonsense all of you post on here.

Peace Out for the second time. May Lord Satoshi bless us all.

lol! amen to that.
yeah exactly. true colors shown bright...
wouldn't wanna meet you bunch of silly-nannies anyway.

If Ken succeeds at a) delivering a reasonable product to market which sells well, b) develops an exchange with some depth that allows for trading c) puts aside a few machines for ActM to mine d) continues to pay out dividends and increases the dividends accordingly, I will hunt Ken down and buy him the best steak which can be bought in a Missouri steak house and will thank him personally. And that is not a threat, that is a promise. Also, I will buy a steak for myself and will join him in dinner.

Good idea. I'll join you guys. Let's make sure this all works out.

Yes, lets do that.

Edit:  I am doing everything in my power to make this work out.

I'd like to suggest The Old Homestead Steakhouse in Manhatten.

On another note; it's so refreshing to have more than half the people in here ignored... makes for a much more pleasant experience.

Yeah, ignoring the trolls has made this thread more bearable, but I would still prefer if people stopped quoting them, or at least if there was a way to ignore the posts quoting the people you've ignored.

when i win the lottery i'm going to __________________ (fill in your own blank)

dunno man, I'd say our odds are slightly better than any lottery.

Isn't NYC a bit far from the action? I'm sure we will all want a tour of the facilities too so keeping it in MO might be the best idea?

I just like the idea of a "Successful Shareholder Dinner" in the Big Apple.

When we do hit it, NYC is just a hop skip and a jump, best steaks in the world... I'm in L.A. myself.

Also, I'm curious if anyone here has bought anything on Crypto::Stocks?

What're your thoughts on Vircurex's implementation of an "project" exchange?

I almost bought some stuff but am hesitant because I don't wanna end up transferring stuff all over the place again.

...anyone?

Important Notice (October 23th, 2013):

Please be advised that ActiveMining is implementing the following rules and procedures for Investors wanting to keep their shares:

Investors who fail for any reason to provide the information necessary to obtain "Verified" status on Bitfunder are encouraged to transfer their shares on BitFunder to the Bitfunder user AMC-TENDER no later than November 6, 2013 before dividends are paid.  All Investors transferring their shares to this account will continue to accumulated dividends on their shares.

The October 30th dividends will be suspended and accumulated for payment on November 6, 2013.

Is there any other steps that need to be taken for this procedure? Do we need to email you with our username and share amount? Or do we just simply transfer the shares to that account?

Your public Bitcoin address you picked on Bitfunder is linked to the specific amount of shares you will transfer over. That Bitcoin address is your identity, there is no need for anything else. Later you will use that identity (Bitcoin address) to claim the assets associated with it, by "signing". No one else can claim the assets associated to the Bitcoin address, because no one else has (or should have) control of that address.

So should we consider doing this now?

Have any of you guys transferred yet?

That's just trust fund baby talk for when they don't get their way.

Meanwhile, did anyone catch that 6000btc flash crash dump?

Like I said, unless otherwise stated, the prototype will be another 2 weeks.

a posting on r/Bitcoin

Quote
My advice to any panicked investors of BTC securities. (X r/bitcoinstocks)

First of all, for the sake of credibility, here's my story: I heard about Bitcoin several years ago but didn't buy in until around $50 earlier this year. I put it straight into AsicMiner shares at .7.
I day traded, picked up a few dozen more shares. Sold a bunch at the peak (around 4.9 on BF) and picked up a bunch of AMC shares at .0005. I sold about $12k worth for living expenses, all for above .005. In short I have an excellent record of buying low and selling at the peaks. I'm still holding 250,000 shares of ActM, 70 shares of AsicMiner, and maybe 35,000 of IceDrill. I've cashed out more USD than I ever put in initially.
And even though my portfolio value has "lost" 6 figures I'm still a happy shareholder. So what is going on right now? To the 48-BTC-loss guy from r/BitcoinStocks and anyone else who is down on their investment:
You haven't lost anything until you sell at an undervalued price. You own shares on an exchange that is being hammered by regulators, which is artificially driving down market value.
Don't bother looking at the price figures right now because they don't contain any useful information. Consider your stocks insoluble until a colored coin implementation pops up (which, with the latest push for development, should be any time now).

If you're in a position where you have extra coin to invest, I truly don't see the prices going any lower than they are now. I also think that once the new wave of investors start to get more familiar with the BTC space, we'll see share prices (at least of the companies that I mentioned) start to go up.
Don't get me started on how cheap stuff is on Havelock right now. (Particularly AM1 in my opinion, not trying to pump here at all though). BTC investors are so shortsighted that all it takes is a few weeks of withheld divs to bring the price down. Soon the divs will start coming back up, colored coins will come online, and the new investors will show up. It's going to be an excellent combo and I think anyone holding BTC securities is going to be very happy in the next few months. If you're lucky enough to be able to buy in Bitfunder right now I envy you.
Just my $.02, smart money is staying put and the smartest money hasn't even flinched.

Ken, can we get an update on how we are going to get our shares out of bitfunder?

Only one week to go before deadline.

your shares are safe...

If you keep your investors successful and happy, then you will be successful and happy!  When the tough gets going, start spewing off more old cheesy phrases like you're making 80's commercials.
And remember, patience is a virtue!  So please guys, keep investing, and keep on truckin'.  Activemining - it's so active, you're going to lose your socks!

..MENTOS...

you're such a ReactiveMiner.
578  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 23, 2013, 06:22:14 PM

seriously, has anyone heard from Ken the last few days?
579  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 23, 2013, 05:40:06 PM

So Ken, what does "Lot of things" entail?  It doesn't look like a lot has happened at all in the last few weeks other than a severe mutilation of share price.

Well the Advisory Board resigned enmass, btc-tc shut down, BF has barred US investors, the SEC has been sending cease and desist letters around, oh and Ken took the mine pic down from the VMC website. That to me is a lot of things. What more do you want?

lol to the Troll.

I'm PRETTY SURE we were ALL thinking "Lot of things" mean progress with the company, rather than the hell exploding around us..
I'm starting to think you're Ken behind a fake account, who else would stand up for something like that with such backward common sense?

when the tough get going... the tough, uh... get going.

...heard that somewhere.
580  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 23, 2013, 05:38:49 PM

how about we 1st pretend that ACtM makes miners.

Yeah good one, but I deliberately said 'makes miners' rather than 'plans to' because I think the first VMC miner is already alive. It might not be for sale or have our eASIC chip inside it yet but that's why it's a prototype.

i think and i feel and i want and i need and i believe and i trust and i hope and i dream...  i do hope for your sake all of your energy isnt for naught.  as mad as i was at 1st that bitfunder closed down to the US, i am happy to not have to think/feel/want/need/believe/trust/hope/dream that ACtM will deliver as promised.

*edit - added hope and dream to the list of verbs above

Yeah because what this thread really needs is another pseudo-genius FUDing troll... ignored.
