I wanted to add something more I have been telling the kids these days in lockdown.

They are finding some xbox games hard, (I know I spoiled them with an xbox x)

I told them this. If games were easy what would you learn? what would be the challenge?

We do it because it is hard applies here.

Then as you finally crack it you learned something.

You never learn in easy things, just "see I was right Im so great" which in actual fact is massively negative

You are right. Nobody got rich by procrastinating.

You have to go for it.

Or else you are the could have been guy

Oh wow lots of the favourites got badly raped today.

NaVi VP Nemiga Alliance

Ouch

Yeah, even it's happening in both esports games which are Dota 2 and CSGO. Is this a coincidence? Grin

But actually, in Dota 2, the favored teams did not have much difference in performance from the team they were against (based on the group stage result).

It's really difficult to predict esport games. The inconsistency is very high.

I don't think it is coincidence. Since COVID-19 started all tournaments switched to online and players are playing from their homes. It makes a lot of different to the game approach and mentality... Some teams are relaxed, other teams are having fun or are just better online. Etc... This lockdown changed a lot of things, and inconsistency is one of them. That's why it's lot harder to bet currently. There are no favourites and underdogs basically.
This is true, there are huge differences playing on-stage and online. Recently, in CSGO, I bet on Astralis in ESL pro league 11 but didn't expect that they will lose to mouz. Those who bet on Fnatic were very lucky and that's already a proof of inconsistency during online tournaments. Some have a good internet connection and the others have some average speed that depends on the server. There's a lot of factors that must be considered in online tournaments so better not to bet on your teams right now and be tactical.

I had a few bets on fnatic that went well.  Thanks for the tips.

In normal times do the teams usually sit together? so they can call out for help and stuff without skype or something?

I never watched or placed a single bet on esports before this COVID bullshit that stopped my favorite sports so I don't know how it looks in normal times. The fact that there are no favorites and underdogs works very good for me since bookies often post one team as big favorite. As I already said betting handicaps on underdog is my favorite way of betting and it works perfectly in these conditions. I only missed Aliance game today since I had it as over. All other mentioned bets I had +1.5 on their opponents and that passed easily. Too bad I didn't play them as single bets but on various multi bet tickets so I ended the day with positive 0.

This was me too. I do put some underdog so as to ramp up the bets. But today that approach failed royally

Its all fair comments. ATMO I'm not risking anything.

This is open and transparent.

I have been right a few signals though now, must have the correct stops. That's a bit I still need to learn.

and especially from a player in the Championship who you may or may not know.

Man you are like a bulldog with a wasp. I don't know the player I didn't say I did.

I said I know his personal friend, and he told me they were called back to training and told matches will probably commence behind closed doors. I also said things may change.

Now it seems they are being called back to train. ORLY

So we were definitely right with the long signal, would I have had the nerve to keep it open? not sure I did get scared.

But now its closed (daily candles) and smashed through exactly as predicted.

When I am comfortable with my decisions I will probably start trading these

Research is always paid for by somebody. They may try to get the right outcome for that party.

Monero is looking a good buy, bitcoin went over 10k we didn't sink to zero.

A little green shoot?
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 08, 2020, 09:03:03 AM
It was 1 level of separation away from me. I don't want  to dox my friend to prove anything. If he said his personal friend has been called back to training? I believe it.

I know him well in RL and he is famous in his own right in certain circles again I don't want to dox either of us.

It was not just some speculation. But thanks for my new title.

Cheesy

Nice. Things are going better.

Remember though: It's not that bitcoin is worth more. It's that fiat is worth less.

Am relatively confident I didn't pay 3x more for my shopping than I did a couple of months ago. I'll check again.

I have to get some funds over.

Is it starting at the same time or is it moved an hour earlier?

Charity - people like to give charity to something they can see or meaningful to them. The hospice where my grandad died or something like that. I think some people will be cynical it can get to the right people via a forum. I mean anyone in real trouble the last thing they are thinking is to log into a forum. I followed the thread and saw an example of how it was used to give stuff to a homeless guy. That's great but will people read the thread to find out there is a way to do it after all. Or will they just switch off to it. So its almost a marketing challenge.

A charity poker game is not a bad idea to bridge this gap. Everyone knows what it is and they get the fun of the poker game from it. And you get the funds to help some people.

The suggestion all buy ins go to the charity is a good one. What if we asked people to donate prizes? doesn't have to be just SwC or IO, could be anyone including members here. The odd collectible, some merchandise like the hats they gave, buy in for a tournament round, a few generous donations from members with something to contribute and then that could lead to more interest to get the bigger numbers (you dream of) for that charity game and so more return for the charity idea.

Good luck with it.

We just had a warning from the local police.

Someone is calling people in our area telling them the law is they must buy some face masks.

Then they get scammed.

I don't understand why anyone would fall for this crap. You could easily verify this by checking out the news online and offline in order to verify its credibility.

Most people are making their own masks or reusing the same mask again and again. Only gullible fools would fall for this crap.

Oh how compassionate you are. What about the elderly, what about the disabled people and those who aren't internet experts.

Newest warning on UK police systems - Criminals are dressing as doctors and key workers so they can go around and commit crimes while everyone else is stuck indoors.

They don't want to work for a living they want to take for free. They will go to lengths to do so.

Some research of darknet vendors from 8 darkmarkets. It still show Bitcoin as most used coin on darkmarkets. And very surprisingly to me also Ethereum at 12%.

Not enough people getting busted, I guess.

Silk road type events were a big scare have people forgotten? probably.

Wait for the next big takedown they may not be so balshy after that.

Funny I once had to remote control a computer in Belgium or somewhere like that.

It took me about an hour to log in.

Seemed like every key I pushed did a different version of A and O      Grin
