1381  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk Poker Nights Discussion Thread (private games for btctalk members) on: May 06, 2020, 09:51:20 PM
I think the idea was like a basketball situation, I know NBA is not like that but in Europe there is a points system in basketball that really rewards even going out to play and losing by 50 points, because at that point you are doing better than any team who doesn't go out to play. I know you may think every team goes out to play but that rule was instated because of teams not going out against much better teams.

Now in basketball you have 1 points for losing and 2 points for winning, whereas you have zero points for not going to play, since back in the day it was like football, when you play a good team you lose and get 0 points, so there was no need for teams to go out and lose because they could simply decline to go out and play, so instead they put 1 points for losing and zero for not going out, which incentives going out and losing. Same logic here. Not saying it would be better, just saying similar ideas.

Thanks jostorres I think you understood what I meant. But watch out I don't want you to start getting into trouble here.

Its just a game in the end.

Sure some people are not 1 million percent happy with BTC but how will they know to use XMR ?

1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: May 06, 2020, 09:41:05 PM
Man that was harsh I had about 4 accumulators relying on NiP

I was on for about £25

Lucky I put a hedge on OG at 0-1 so I got about £6 as a hedge.

Still disappointed I could have cashed out 17 and I would have won about £25

Another lesson learned.

Lets go.

Always listen your gut  Smiley

Thanks for the personal reply bro. Still doing it. Thank you

Haven't pushed anything. Sorry to upset the apple cart.

I just had an idea for the losers that would involve playing in more games being a benefit. You would get more chips if there was more players. That's all. I already said no biggie.

Ill see you guys in a game.
1387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 06, 2020, 02:27:28 PM
So dystopian...

What a knob.

I wasn't interested in the first place but became rather less interested during this recent fall with him desperately shuffling his cards saying 'guys, GUYs, the model still works. Sort of thing.'

As ever it would hit $288,000 for 0.1 seconds and then be back to five figures or less for years on end. Speculators themselves can fuck things up without government help.

I’d rather go dark personally if Bitcoin goes $288k. Too much richness on display then.

Exactly this... criminals are going to look for big wallets and hunt down the peeps behind them...

If only there was some kind of less transparent anonymous alternative

In response to the they want to cancel everything comment, I got this from a reliable guy I know personally,

Quote
Mate of mine in the championship is back at training being told they have to play behind closed doors for remainder so don't believe all you read

Nothing is set in stone and things can change. But again there are very conflicting news and reports saying the opposite to each other.

See I wasn't lying. Its filtering through now
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: May 06, 2020, 12:38:16 PM
Yay spirit +1.5 had my first win and still got VP backed as the winners.   Smiley

We were even making maps on paper for each level

Happy days indeed

Yes I see what you both mean. I am just an independent looking at it with fresh eyes.

I take your point it could then mess up the other end (top)

Just was an idea to stimulate the bottom end. All good with whatever.

1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: May 06, 2020, 08:27:37 AM
I lost a chunk yesterday on Gambit Youngsters.

Onwards and upwards, just looking at todays games now.

VP vs Spirit

Nigma vs Team Secret

OG vs NiP

Nothing that lucrative, maybe some +1.5 action I guess.

1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 06, 2020, 08:22:55 AM

Speaking of booking betting on high number of yellow cards can be a good bet during this time.

What is your logic here? can you explain a bit more?

1396  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk Poker Nights Discussion Thread (private games for btctalk members) on: May 05, 2020, 07:41:05 PM

I am loving poker LOL

Me too! Smiley Congrats for taking some prizes, you still don't take first places, but you will! You are getting better with every tournament played!

I don't know why we should even discuss point structure!? It's good as it is for now for player base we have! Maybe with more players we could think about "heavy points structure" suggested by Cacerbola! With more players that would be logical step, more players = more points for taking any of the first 10 places! Little more than 30 players in last series, I don't remember how many points had last finalist, but I secured a seat with 25 points in 7th game! I think Yahoo and Sy had secured seat even earlier!

if you had 0 points, you would have 0 points in either structure.

lol, boost your ego by winning some hands and taking down a tourney. this is poker, not a pity party! Tongue

Do we really need more than this two sentences to understand that we play poker here. Win some hands, try to take the tournament, prize and points. 0 points are 0 points from every angle! Wink

Oh really

But imagine this, if the points started at the bottom player 1 point. Upwards from there. There would be more incentive to play in every game. The bigger the game the more the winner would get.

Seems sort of win win.

Its all good with me I am more of a neutral person observing and suggesting. I did play but I am not tainted by all your expert poker experience. Just the experience of a noob in the first tournament.

Only the most patient people will get through it!

I never really understood this image, like bruh the first guy hasnt found the diamonds either , its possible he gives up right before he finds diamonds too? Just me?

Diamonds are worth shit now. They can make them in the lab. That's the true warning
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Globb0 BTC charts on: May 05, 2020, 07:11:48 PM
There was the retest. So again a long signal? (with a sensible stop)

I am still only playing fantasy long and short to see if I am reading it right.

Top of the RSI.

But declining volume? didn't pick up from weekend on Monday.

Might squeeze up?

OK well learning exercise, I made a mistake.

Not waiting for the daily candle to close before deciding.

The signal disappeared a bit later.

Another lesson learned (reminded in fact)  wait for the candle to be closed.

Now it did indeed close higher, so the signal is there.

Im getting confused doubting myself. But it wasn't wrong, just a bit eager.

best game ever.
