Not really worth using. And you wont find Eth or any memory algo on a stick only core algos. But a quick check on whattomine will show you why the usb stick miners are not worth anything except maybe a bit of educational use.

I need the file cpuminer-multi-wolf-06-12-2014.zip, please someone to send me the link or send me to my mail. All the links are broken You do realize you are asking for a miner that is 7 years out of date. Why not ask Wolf0 directly he is around…but i doubt this will be of use as it is quite ancient and out of date. It most likely doesnt work anymore or even support the algos as many of the coins have changed algos. Why do brand new accounts love reviving ancient threads? |

Yeah it wont unfortunately the Eth network is just gotten too big. Other smaller networks should be workable but Eth is just network hashrate is just too big.

When solo mining you are mining at the difficulty of the network. There is only that one difficulty as you have to find a block not just help find a block.

Between a gtx 1660 super and rx580 8gb which one is good for 2022 mining? I heard ETH is going away but I still have interest in mining coins for 2024 sake so I will hold every coins I'm going to make starting from now, which one is the best?
i think is similiar result in profit with differential algo that support, while nvidia is easier to handle, and some people said, nvidia has longer lifespan compared amd, which is i experienced this in polaris series aka rx 400/500, thats gpu build for value card not highend device, other amd series like tahiti & vega consider high end card and tend to be longer lifespan The reason why NVIDIA cards have longer life span than AMD is because Nvidia cards runs cooler than AMD GPUs, they produce less heats than AMD cards and as we know it heat is the real enemy of graphic cards, the lesser the heat the longer its life What? You can´t say this, it depends from GPU to GPU. My RX6600XT´s running with 15% fan and 48°C. Nvidia RTX cards with GDDR6X have sometimes vram overheat problems. My old RX570 rigs run now for over 4years without problems, and my Nvidia P106 rigs also. No joke i wonder how fmz89 explains all the R9 290 / 390 some of which have been mining since 2013..... And yet fails to see how many 30XX cards will fail due to extremely high temps on GDDR6X. |

He is trying to scam somebody into buying a wallet that isnt his. Without password or seed…its not OPs wallet.
He is trying to sell something he doesnt own or even control. He found an address with 1500 eth in it and is testing to see who is foolish enough to try to buy it off him….but its not his. Just like if you lose your seed/pw to your wallet …. its not yours becuase you cannot access it. This guy never had $6,000,000 worth of eth..but he will certainly try to take some from anyone foolish enough to engage.
Its also why he is using a new account 5 days old.

This topic is already a year old, I think that the author of the topic has long changed or sold useless video cards. https://minerstat.com/dag-size-calculatorChoose coins where the DAG file has not yet exceeded 2 GB, but mining will be useless even with free electricity. You need at least 3 GB of memory and what do you mine with 3gb then ? im not new, but havent much contact with mining last few years. after a couple days finding out i do right now vertcoin. works even with 2gb just fine. but interested to have more inputs Not that many even with 3 GB cards.Ethereum Classic and Ravencoin which were mineable a couple of months ago like in April or so only in Linux are not anymore mineable with 3 GB cards.So the bare minimum nowadays is 4 GB cards and those card can mine RVN and ETC as the most profitable coins to mine together with ERGO,this one can also be mined with 3 GB cards as the DAG size is just over 2 GB right now. FYI I am mining ETC on 3gb 1060s right now on linux using gminer. |

Hello GMiner devs I have this issue. I was with fedora 33 OS and have used gminer 2.70 version without any problem. But i decided to upgrade to the latest distro fedora 35 . I also upgraded to the latest Nvidia drivers at the time of OS upgrading. After the upgrade my Gminer doesn't work and when start it shows this "Miner terminated, watchdog will restart process after 10 seconds" I decided to download the latest Gminer version 2.74 but when I check it with virustotal it shows that has viruses malware ( the version 2.70 and bellow didn't have this issue ) so I didn't dare to use it. ( https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/95c227fb11899a504e21e5082646bf566a14d513ef98e8ca0f795d9d13ebc799 ) So my question is - what could be the problem with 2.70 version and is this a reported issue already .. how to manage with that problem? Just to inform that my GPUS (NVIDIA GTX 1070 ) works OK with Phoenixminer but for some reason they stopped to work with Gminer after the upgrade. Did you go to the first post of this thread and download from the link provided by OP? If you did then both linux and windows 2.74 show ZERO on virustotal. You can go check yourself. I just did both. Any of those are good for Monero. Those are the official wallets. So pick the one that works with your chosen OS. |

Manual state 0-50c operation temperature and storage (not powered) -40c ~ 85c.
So according to the manual no it is not designed to operate below 0c.
Now will that break it or not is unknown but it could be an issue with components on the board that may not operate correctly.
I would be more worried about the unit being outside as it is not in a weather proof housing.
Why not just run the antenna outside and have the unit inside? This way you get the outside exposure but the electronics are safe and dry indoors.
And the ambient heat it puts off will not be wasted but instead help warm the room its in (slightly).

Why not? And do you have any suggestions on what I can mine (profitably) with my setup? Eths DAG file which the gpu must put in its Vram is bigger than 4GB now and growing. You can do ETC, Ergo, VTC, CCX, BTG. Just has to be a coin with algo that still works on only 3gb or less vram. |
