Can't seem to find any settings to tune gpu clocks/memory/voltage and fan speed. I want to move from phoenix miner, but this miner seems to not have this settings. Can anyone confirm this?

It will come in the future. But Teamredminer has more shares on poolside yet, so change to teamred. I changed all my miners from phönix and claymore to teamred and effective hashrate is higher.

Since i use my PC for gaming too, i don't like the idea of switching wattman profile each time i use miner and then want to game. Thus phoenix miner is the way to go for me sadly. If i've used dedicated mining rig, i would switch to teamredminer for sure, since i can just tweak the settings once and be done with it.

Edit: Disregard my post. You can add teamredminer exe as a game profile in wattman, and then tune memory, clock and voltage for that specific profile. Pretty neat AMD!

teamredminer now available on STEAM!!! (J/K)...

And this is why you should not mine on a computer where you keep a wallet.  You gotta keep’em separated.   And yes dont d/l unless its a known piece of software from the OP and not some newbie account.  Scammer loves to post his malware links and people falling for it keep him coming back for more easy pickings.  Sorry about the lost eth....sucks.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on few MacBooks on: January 07, 2021, 02:39:01 PM
The heat from cpu mining will be a major problem for the macbook.  Portable package means more thermal constraints.  Notebook mining is one step above mobile phone mining...both are terrible ideas.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeamRedMiner 0.7.22 - Nimiq/Kawpow/Ethash/Etchash/Cryptonight and More on: January 07, 2021, 01:42:08 AM
hi, could be some form of thermal throttle...your mem temps(92) are running hot for continual 24/7 operation. dont know if that helps.

thanks for answering. I set the fans a little faster. its on ethermine. Cant I set the difficulty in some way? There are so many new jobs but only few a shares.

I've set the Config to A512 manually now. But still many new Jobs and only few shares. Or is this normal behaviour? Shouldnt I use the B config with a 5700 XT? Problem is, the pool doenst report any hashrate then..

Dont worry the higher diff...means those fewer shares are worth more each....works out to same.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminers E3 still alive for ETH? on: January 07, 2021, 01:40:15 AM
Thanks adaseb

Question to all E3 owners
Where and what coin you mining now with Ant E3?
Is zergpool reliable?

Zerg is reliable.
pinpin from there is good people.
They support a lot of algos and mining methods.
You can get paid in coins that you may prefer....ltc is what i take payment in fast and cheap and easy to convert....sure beats waiting much longer to meet minimum btc withdrawl and higher tx fees.  But i think you can get Dash and maybe even Doge.  Much choices...many options Smiley

886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I use an 'HP elite desk 800 G1' as a miner? on: January 07, 2021, 01:37:04 AM
i would also suggest using a linux based mining OS....there are several really good one

mmpOS (rig up to 8 gpus free forever)
hiveOS
Smos
Raveos

I know some allow free 30 days or some have other trial or even free cost for small miner.  I would say try them and see which one you like best...
They will be way better on older hardware then windows....and more stable.
Most are small enough to run off 16gb thumbdrive or small ssd or even old hd...but thumbdrive is lowest power

And please pay attention to power draw...  a GPU can pull a surprising amount of power and if you dont respect the power draw its easy to get the 🔥

Best to power the riser (little pcb that the gpu will plug into) with a 6pin PCIe just like is found on graphics card.  Really only the Molex (4 pin in row) has enough power to be safe.   Sata to 6 pin is asking for trouble especially with higher wattage cards.

Always power a gpu and its riser from the same PSU if you end up with multiples.  And dont expect much from the stock psu...it was not designed to put out that many whats..and problably doesnt have that many 6 or 8 pin pcie plugs.  I use 1200 - 2600watt psu’s on my rigs.  Ive got a couple with just 4 cards and use 1000w on those.  And currently PSUs are like every other part of a mining rig...expensive and in short supply.

The riser to main board uses a usb cable (comes with the risers) and a small edge card.  Why the cable and connections are usb in shape they are not in signal.  This is actually just a way to use commodity connection to link the gpu to the card slot so data flows.

Im sure you will have plenty more to discover.  I suggest watching videos of folks building rigs on youtube and read everything you can on mining rigs.  And make use of the (Search) of the forums for answers...and of course ask questions.  There are folks here who have forgotten more about gpu mining then ill ever know Smiley

nah i set my slots to gen2 anyways.  Mining only need a x1 connection.  If you dont have enough slots for all the gpus you can use a 4x1 splitter to connect 4 gpus on riser to one of the slots.  There will be a hard limit obviously.  The splitter is something like this (they  come in many forms)..

https://www.amazon.com/XT-XINTE-PCI-express-External-Adapter-Multiplier/dp/B07CWPWDF8/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2JH9E3090HIJO&dchild=1&keywords=1+to+4+pcie+riser&qid=1609976854&sprefix=1+to+4+pcie%2Caps%2C194&sr=8-1

888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My Design Project - Custom 8 GPU Mining Case on: January 06, 2021, 10:43:02 PM
Was going to say looks like older gpus in it for that...most of the new breed are anyways.

This try to keep it 80c or below!

Should be fine....just be sure to use risers if you are adding more than 1 gpu
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.17: AMD Miner for Ethash / BEAM / GRIN / Ae / Tube / Equihash & more on: January 06, 2021, 05:40:28 PM
Thanks guys, very very good. I will try.

Now let's say I don't want to change EthOS because I don't have time (even if I am aware I should change it with a normal lightweight linux distro....). Can I let EthOS start lolminer at the startup with his own lolminer? And after it is mining to launch another lolminer for the 4GB cards?
Or do I need to disallow the miner launch from Ethos and launch the two miners indipendently?

Also I noticed the last lolminer available in Ethos repo is the 1.16. Is it an issue to let him run the 1.16, download the 1.17 and run a string from that folder?

Yes you can download and overwrite your lolMiner versiob 1.16 file...

Do you mean to overwrite the script only inside the folder that contains all the supported miners? Are the other files (if any) the same between 1.16 and 1.18? Please confirm
Because I would like to overwrite the 1.16 with the 1.18 one. Our best friend Lolliedieb is killing it  Grin. I need to try the new parameters as soon as possible.

Thank you Lolliedieb for the hard work. With the ETH prices going crazy like this, every additional mhs and every additional hour we can mine ETH is a big gift ;-)

If you are on Ethos you can go to /opt/miners/lolminer and change out for the newest version.  All files are in that folder only.  As long as you stick the new version in the right folder Ethos will see it and work with it.

Man, this is stupidiest fraud try i've ever seen, i'm pushing 33.3Mhs from rx588 without your crappy crap, only by miner and settings  Cheesy

I have rx580's and i am only getting 21Mhs on windows 10 with compute mode, latest amd drivers, latest windows updates, Phoenixminer 5.4c.
i have tweaked the gpu's in AMD control panel cvddc 853 cclock 1165 mvddc 853 mclock 2080
could you please share your settings.
thanks

bios modded i assume as well...

This is what i am not understanding, i thought that modifying the gpu's like on afterburner or AMD control panel was the same as bios flashing.
I did bios flash my rx580's with ATiflash years ago for claymore mining. now they are flashed back to stock because modifying the gpu's amd control panel was enough for me to achieve 31Mhs on claymore.

Are you telling me i need to use PolarisBiosEditor, flash my bios then put those settings example "-cclock 1250 -mclock 2250 -cvddc 925 -mvddc 825 into the phoenixminer .bat file?

Im an idiot. i have it working now....

Those settings will get you faster like you say 31..to go higher you need to modify the timing straps on the bios...can be done using pbe or similar, can be done dynamically on both windows and linux depending on os and/or amdmemtweaker.  They tighten the timings on 1500 and higher straps.  There are whole posts (several) on how to do this.  Alot of the RX5XX cards have a small switch and allow for dual bios..so one mod one for mining and leave the other position for stock.  Makes it fast and easy to switch.. (do power down the rig to flip the switch).

May want to get a little space between the two units.  The hash boards up against those walls next to each other will be the hottest spot.  Maybe an inch or 2 if possible.

testing lolminer over phoenix.  must say, impressive power reduction on NAVI...im running 10x5700(non XT) on MSOS(linux)good hashrate and temps.

Are you measuring power at the wall with a killawatt/power meter?  Or is this just in software reporting?

897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: January 05, 2021, 05:39:02 PM
If you want to continue using only claymore straps and rxboost, you can use this bat file

You just have to download PStools from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/pssuspend
just adjust the runforseconds to pause after claymore has added straps and rxboost

Code:
@echo off
echo -------------------------------------------------------------------
echo Simple script to use Claymores rxboost And straps By DrX
echo -------------------------------------------------------------------
echo:
set executable=EthDcrMiner64.exe
set executable2= MINER.EXE
set commandline= -dbg -1 -mport -0 -benchmark 1 -strap 1 -rxboost 1
set commandline2= MINER COMMANDS
set runforseconds=20
set restartinseconds=10
set /a counter=0
timeout %restartinseconds%
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
:start
start "Miner Window" %executable% %commandline%
echo:
echo The software will run for %runforseconds% seconds
timeout %runforseconds%
pssuspend.exe %executable%
start "Miner Window" %executable2% %commandline2%
pause

DrX thanks thats a much better solution than running code from unknown source.  Like i said i dont run Claymore anymore but for those that simply cant let go...this is the best solution ive seen for both earnings for the miner and for security of their rigs.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.4c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: January 05, 2021, 05:36:30 PM
Hello guys,

can i use phoenixminer, if I have both AMD and nVidia cards on my rig?

Still waiting for a couple of parts to arrive and I want to use RTX cards, and put some of the old RX580s out of the game until my new parts arrive.

Thanks!

EDIT: it works btw, but i am constantly receiving warnings from the miner, that it's not able to apply the following settings:

2021.01.05:19:21:38.439: hwmc GPU2: Unable to set GPU clock delta to -340 MHz - error -137
2021.01.05:19:21:38.440: hwmc GPU2: Unable to set memory clock delta to -1000 MHz - error -137
2021.01.05:19:21:38.441: hwmc GPU3: Unable to set GPU clock delta to -310 MHz - error -137
2021.01.05:19:21:38.442: hwmc GPU3: Unable to set memory clock delta to -1000 MHz - error -137

What does that exactly mean?

It means you cant set -340 and -1000 on the clock.  Try -200 or 0 to see if it goes away then can try other values to see what lower limit it.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: January 05, 2021, 02:50:19 PM
Guys, tell me what the problem is and if there is already an official solution? Miner version 15, pool nanopool. When I start the miner, I get an error "Pool sent wrong data, cannot set epoch". GPUs - GTX 1070 8 GB with the latest drivers installed.  Shocked

Claymore is outdated, please use Phoenixminer or other up to date ETH miner software.

Completely true... there are lot of options for Mix Rigs... or for specific... for Mix Rigs with lolMiner the improves in Watts is really good...

Plus better to support active devs of mining software then to support somebody leaching off claymores work.  So TRM / PM / LOL / Gminer / Nbminer  all better to support.  They support the mining community.  Also note i havent lost any speed since moving off Claymore...all the miner devs have stepped up thier game.

Ok so im new to this mining stuff im starting to mine with mi laptop ethereum found a really good and easy video on internet and i followed all steps correctly but when i run out the program mine_etc, it appears an error while its running it says GPU 0: Insufficient memory for DAG epoch 386, can someone please help me out i would be really thankful and i appreciate your help thanks forum

Generally laptops cannot mine.  Couple of things.  Mine ETC sounds like you are actually trying to mine ETC not ETH.  ETC can be mined on video cards with 3gb vram.  Since you have a laptop most likely it doesnt have a big enough gpu for mining.  The other problem you will have is if your laptop has a big enough gpu it will not last long mining.  Laptops are made to be portable and generally suffer from cooling issues when it comes to mining.  Watch more videos and read more about mining.
