So, I imagine that you insert the multiplier in the PCI "long" slot that does carry 16x ?

Works in any pcie slot even x1 shorties....
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Miner is not Hashing | Started after 1 and half Year | Please Help! on: March 14, 2021, 04:27:55 PM
ive got 23 rigs on ethos.

it will work fine for him just needs to update.

update to 1.3.3

Then go install the miner-manager script here

https://github.com/cynixx3/third-party-miner-installer-for-ethos

Then you can load all newest miners...claymore is not useful anymore.  For your cards run Teamredminer.

Any questions post up.

Since you already paid for Ethos why not keep that buck....your cards are not new enough to be a problem.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig cases with separate air streams on: March 14, 2021, 04:21:10 PM
just build a plywood box put rig in it.

take box fan 20”x20” is gpod for a rig...if bigger box (say 4’ x 4’ x 4’) use a barrell fan.

Make a hole to match the fan on top and pull air out.  Put openings around lower side and use cheap ac filter or cloth to keep stuff out and fan will pull cool air in the lower openings across rig and up and out of box....

Even in VERY hot (works in Thailand heat) this works.  20”x20” fan around $20...barrells run $100 - $200...but the bogger box can do 50-100 gpus....

Vent top fan exhuast outside or out roof.....

Definitely scam project.
Token cannot be mined

User wanganxiu called it correctly....OP wants your wallet keys to steal your crypto.  Nothing more.

NEVER give your keys/seed....no legitimate project needs or wants those.

Nothing of value here.

Like several other new coins (or not so new) thst have no value , no future, and are just scams.

Is it me or has Mega always been a bit sketch?

Hi,

I tried but TRM doesn’t start with those additions at the end.

For LOLminer add --devices 0

This will make it work on 1st gpu (plugged probably into mobo for super zombie mode on eth)

For TRM add --devices=1

this will make it work on gpu #2 (remember the start at 0).

The syntax is slightly different....but that works on 9 of my rigs no issue
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Auto Power up mining rig after power loss ? on: March 13, 2021, 05:13:13 PM
You can use simple wifi smart switches for rig resetter...most will report power use also.
Nice this is they are dirt cheap and most will work with Alexa/Siri (Alexa reset the problem rig!)

Most can be bought for $5~$10 each...and work from cell phone even..so work from anywhere in world!

Is there any way to delay the application of overclock on the core during dag creation. I know its possible on the memory with -mcdag but Im having issues on the coreclock during dag creation process. I know increasing memory will increase the hashrate but in my case, increasing the coreclock increases the hashrate as well. Weirdly it only happens on my gtx 1070.

Have you tried using -lidag 3

or 2 or 1.  0 is default but it slows down dag creation and may solve your issue.

529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.24a: AMD Miner for Ethash / BEAM / GRIN / Ae / Tube / Equihash & more on: March 13, 2021, 12:08:06 AM
Hello, I've been using PM for my 1070s and for every epoch I think it decreases more and more when mining ethereum. Right now they've dropped to 25 MH/s from 30 MH/s. Will lolMiner improve the hashrate or does the zombi mode work only for 4gb? Thanks.

It a flaw in the nvidia 10xx architecture i believe.

Specific to the ASUS B250 Mining Expert motherboard, im not seeing the "restore AC after power loss" type of option in the BIOS. Does anyone know where to find that in this motherboard?

It has it.  The manual is terrible for the board on the bios section.  Its under advanced....and near the bottom of that list in advanced... but it does have it...ive got 2 of them that its enabled on...if you cant find it let me know and ill put a monitor on a rig to locate it.

Sill Asus manual has a single picture for bios eazy mode and advanced mode....yeah that doesnt quite cover it....
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH2.0, mining and last Innosilicon A11 miner on: March 11, 2021, 07:09:19 PM
One way to check...go to google..type in the asic makers name...most likely the first hit (not ad) will be the maker.

If you do this for Innosilicon...the real site is right up top first.

I did this and it took 9 pages Before that site you listed was shown...definitly not legit.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2 instances of miner on same machine on: March 11, 2021, 06:49:06 PM
Hi,

Please see the command line for both GPUs together.

teamredminer.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -u 0x789FFf9——————-BD8A37165eE5655.abd -p x --enable_compute

So if this to mine on card #2 add -d=1 to the end of the line.

On the other miner command line assumes lolminer add --devices 0

This would make TRM mine on the second gpu and lolminer on gpu 0

534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH2.0, mining and last Innosilicon A11 miner on: March 11, 2021, 06:40:29 PM
You do realize that website is not Innosilicon.

This is the Innosilicon site:  https://www.innosilicon.com/

The site you have listed does not appear to be Innosilicon.com

Be very careful...lot of scamming asic sellers...Always buy direct from the maker.

Also note on the actual Innosilicon.com page here at the bottom about fraudulant sites:

https://www.innosilicon.com/html/miner/index.html

I would contact the innosilicon.com and ask them of innosiliconasics.com is legit...sure doesnt appear to be.  Note how they copy but size and layout change for about page.  It looks like its copied and used and nothing links back to innosilicon.com

535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wattmeter for mining rigs ??? on: March 11, 2021, 01:27:44 PM
I ise these on every mining circuit in my little farm.  Doesnt actually pass the current through it just measures both constantly.  Really helpful when deciding can i add more to this circuit.  Look on ebay or alibaba even cheaper...just make sure it covers you power range.  This one is up to 500V and 50A max.

https://www.amazon.com/Mercu-Multimeter-Amperage-Back-light-Transformer/dp/B01MTBY6QN/ref=sr_1_32?dchild=1&keywords=digital%2Bac%2Bvoltage%2Bamp%2Bmeter%2Bpanel%2Bmount&qid=1615468715&sr=8-32&th=1

Just pass one of the power wires through the iron core loop and wore the +/- to the ac power on outlet.  Never have to measure again.

536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PCIE Multiplier on: March 11, 2021, 02:46:42 AM
Using all 4 ports doesnt cause any issue for the plex chip its designed to do it.  You will eventually run out of PCIE lanes so dont think you will just keep adding and adding.  There are some chipset limitations as well.  But 12-13 seems doable.....maybe more depends what else is enabled.  M.2 ports can use up lanes..and chipset and implementations can affect this.  But the little splitter is quite affordable.  Just make sure to get the one with heat sink as the plx chip does generate heat and is sensative to it.  The nicer ones i referenced above have actual fans on the plx chip and its a much more expensive and capable plx chip.

PCIE is quite impressive when you consider all that it handles....effortlessly.

Ive yet to have a plx fail on me.  I have had a doa but not one actually fail from use....there arent any moving parts on it and silicon doesnt wear out..again no moving parts.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2 instances of miner on same machine on: March 11, 2021, 02:36:10 AM
Look for -d or --devices or -gpu command line options to tell a miner to use only specific gpus.

I know TRM and LOL use -d or --devices

You set one to use a card or cards and set the other to use the other cards.

538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Frequency vs country on: March 10, 2021, 06:48:26 PM
Why does it matters if running mining rigs is all you plan to do? Every power supply out there will work perfectly on 120v or 220 to 240v so it doesn't stop you from mining, don't just plug appliances that are only created for 120v, they will blow up unless you use step down

That is not actually true.  Its most of the time true.   Some psu’s are 220-240v only.  Always a good idea to look at the spec on the psu itself.   (note if you have a psu without a spec detailing input/output ....i would personally not use becuase there is no way that meets any standard).

I have several 220-240v ONLY psus.  Plugging them into 120v will not end well....ive actually tested that theory by accident.  🤬
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PCIE Multiplier on: March 10, 2021, 06:34:27 PM
They have arrived today, and they work. So now, my mb, which has only 6 pcie slots, works with 12 cards. Thanks again @miner29!!

Excellent...some folks dont understand x1 is good for almost every gpu mining application.  The only one i know its not great for is the lolminer Super Zombie Mode for 4gb card in x16 slot (or even x8).  And that situation will eventually go away.

And doing that little plex card is way cheaper than adding a whole second rig.

Hash on 👍
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1060 3GB refuses to mine anything but BeamV3. No Kawpow. on: March 10, 2021, 06:28:15 PM
I have a 1060 3GB among my GPUs.  It absolutely refuses to mine anything other than BeamV3.  What coins are BeamV3, anyway?  How big is the Kawpow DAG file, is it big enough to eliminate 3GB GPUs now?

KawPow DAG is like 3300 MB I think.

It was around that size when I saw it loading on my 1650 Super awhile back.

It is under 3gb.  I have a couple of old 13 gpu rigs of 1060-3gb that mine it right now.
His problem is he is using windows...so windows is using up a lot of his vram.  Linux suffers none of those issues.

Dag is around 2.7gb for rvn....once thats gone he can switch to beam or etc....or another coin.
