401  Economy / Reputation / Re: My bitcointalk self-appraisal [I'm now a Snr. Member] on: January 13, 2022, 05:08:47 PM
You are not the first to create a celebration thread; will probably not be the last as well. I guess there was a thread where the creator of that thread was trying to collect the celebration thread; haven't seen that recently though. Don't take this personally; most of us don't use the search option. I'm not excluding myself as well from the list. For instance; if you had used the search option, you wouldn't create the thread.
People will find it hard to find the celebration thread and create their own in the future. Again, someone will point out we need a thread & someone will create the thread; maybe someone will point out we have 2 existed threads. I have seen this chain in bitcointalk numerous times on different issues.
402  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: STAKE SCAMMED FOR $80K on: January 13, 2022, 04:52:32 PM
How did they scam you? You are required to provide a better identity verification system though requiring ONLY passport is quite weird; they could have asked for something else like Voter ID which proves everything including your citizenship etc. Did you try that? It's required for applying for a passport as well. They could use it as proof. I don't think it's a scam but a stupid requirement. There are a lot of other ways to prove your citizenship if they don't accept Aadhar Card.
403  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Online Casino Bonus for Crypto Players at Casitsu Online Casino on: January 13, 2022, 04:41:37 PM
The announcement doesn't look like such a professional fastest growing crypto casino. I guess you must have looked at how other casino has made their presence there along with some cool marketing tactics. Either way, the site itself is looking great. May we know when did casitsu launch? It seems like you are old but new here; no problem but it would be good to know since you are sharing some good bonuses up to 1.5 BTC which can be something tricky way to mmm, I didn't mean so LOL.
404  Other / Meta / Re: How to find threads with pairs of users? on: January 12, 2022, 05:57:41 PM
My concern with that search pattern in a search engine like Google or DuckDuckGo is that it's likely to return every post where they are mentioned by anyone even if they didn't post in the thread themselves, right?
Yeah. It won't get you specifically what you are looking for as google doesn’t work that way or know who is who either LOL. I tried following the above and it brought all the relevant thread/topic where both the username were mentioned at once. I don’t think it's the one you are looking for. I guess you have to write a script in order to doing so.
405  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vikingbet.io launched this week. on: January 12, 2022, 05:22:31 PM
The site itself seems good but I would really love to have more information about the site here. I just have seen you have table games as well. Is the table between the players vs dealer or p2p hands where there will be few hands playing? I really hate to see players vs dealer table; it's kinda boring LOL. Follow the above suggestion. Come up with presenting your casino with a nice presentation.
406  Economy / Gambling / Re: Have $15k BTC, want to make several $3k-$5k sports bets, best bonus / rebate? on: January 11, 2022, 05:29:19 PM
I would recommend you Playbetr as my first impression of them was way better than any other casino. I was having a problem with registering on playbetr due to their internal problem. When I shared this in bitcointalk, they offer me a bonus for the interuption. They had shared a bonus of almost $20 worth of BTC I guess though I haven't used the site yet; the bonus is still there as it was. They are here for a quite long time and had no issue with my known.
407  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mozilla says they'll accept Bitcoin & crypto donations on: January 11, 2022, 05:09:27 PM
I'm confused now; I didn't know whether Mozilla was accepting bitcoin for quite a long time now since 2014. Is it true? If it's, why this has created such chaos now on Twitter. Why didn't create that chaos long ago?

That's made me wonder what's the reason they accept cryptocurrency donation in the first place if they didn't thoughtfully consider according to their climate goals area.
Maybe for the same reason, Tesla started to accept Bitcoin & later stopped. BTW, there's a rumor ongoing that Tesla will accept DOGE now LOL.

3. Paper Wallets, I would prefer more hardware wallet.
Both are cold wallets. Paper wallet has almost zero cost while a hardware wallet requires approx. a hundred USD worth of investment on the wallet. If you perfectly generate a paper wallet and use it, you are safe enough. However, paper wallet is the best solution for a long time while with a hardware wallet, you can transact regularly as well. For a perfect paper wallet generate, you can follow up the discussion here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5198310.0
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just seeing what interest there is for another Betnomi Poker Series on: January 11, 2022, 04:45:37 PM
Last time, you played on 6 pm UTC; that's 11:30 pm here in my local  Undecided I guess I won't be able to participate if that's the time as I have more than a lot of works at that time but if it's earlier than this time, I'm interested to join the Poker Series as I really enjoy playing poker. Will bookmark the thread & wait for an update from you.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Gambling on: January 10, 2022, 06:07:35 PM
I don’t see a lot of benefits of gambling. For me, it’s only entertainment when you have nothing to do at all. I was quite active in gambling in the recent lockdown while these days, I barely play any games; only a few sportsbet.
On the other hand, cons; you are wasting your time which you could use properly to do something productive, you would not lose money & less stress.
411  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for interesting media resources (any topic) on: January 10, 2022, 05:53:40 PM
I don’t know if you will like it or not but I have read a few pages form this discussion for a while though later on, I gave up as the thread is quite long and I can't end reading this. Nevertheless, it was interesting enough for me- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.0
412  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring content writers for crypto news portal. on: January 10, 2022, 05:33:38 PM
Daily earning potential up to $5 to $10 in BTC.
For how many news? $10 a day is too low considering covering one news a day. I think you would rather consider increasing the payment to get a quality content writer. Otherwise, with this payment, you are not going to get a quality writer for sure.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: January 10, 2022, 05:22:16 PM
Did someone name JSRAW here? You can follow him if you are looking for betting in cricket matches. He is quite active in most of the cricket discussion & as far as I have observed his post; he used to post with insights. That's what I like about his post because they are helpful for betting if you have little knowledge on cricket.
414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Bounty Manager? on: January 09, 2022, 05:02:27 PM
Hhampuz & yahoo62278; both are great campaign managers. It's hard to select one from them. There are a lot of other campaign manager here but I don’t think they are even closer to the above two.

I guess Service Discussion board is the best board to post this.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 09, 2022, 04:49:16 PM
Stake.com as it gives a lot of bonuses to their VIPs regularly. I'm not a VIP there either but I have friends who have been VIP there for years and we discuss about these things quite frequently whenever we chat. I'm trying to become VIP there but problem with me is I'm not enough active and high roller.
416  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: January 01, 2022, 05:06:21 PM
This were the time where funds sent to crwth and cabalism, check (tx below). Also, check the track records of crwth on his spreadsheet posted earlier.

To cabalism - https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/917fc3c5eaf5154dae2e79477b0496dad4750238ff242474681bef5e544ddb92
Am I being very much skeptical? Cabalism13 has used this address to receive the fund- 3CabaLLZeJXhbyatozNEyQRY16F5SFsW2Q, which has been only used 2 times in the forum. 1st- as stake address & 2nd- to sign a message to receive a loan from DarkStar_
He has never used this address to receive the donation fund from bl4nkcode prior to this one; still NP but after receiving the fund at Jan 6, 2021, 12:48 PMUTC, he then sent the fund to 3LjVmpw2wDWawaPGa8Lj5JYjYciXDAePbW (this address was used a couple of times for receiving fund from donation fund) on Jan 6, 2021, 1:13 PM UTC. In less than an hour, cabalism13 sent the fund from his personal address (I mean non-custodial) to his web wallet. Why didn't he receive the fund directly from the address? Quite suspicious or what should I say this. Why cabalism13 had to pay $6 worth of BTC fee Roll Eyes
In addition, Binance charges a 0.0005 BTC tx fee for BTC withdrawal. From the tx, cabalism13 has received exactly the amount 0.1225 BTC which is shown in the screenshot. Did bl4nkcode bear the fee?
417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bid-Ask Spread and Slippage on: December 30, 2021, 05:42:35 PM
About slippage, in my understanding it is only exists on DEX such as Pancakeswap, Uniswap, 1inch. Or does it exist on centralized exchanges too?
I have never used a CEX which have the option directly as slippage but have seen coinbase has this feature according to their website- https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/advanced-trading/slippage
Is it possible that we can compare the stop loss with this feature? I guess yes?
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Opinion on increasing gambling. on: December 30, 2021, 05:25:15 PM
What is your opinion on the increasing number of gamblers?
I guess it's because of the Covid & lockdown we had. Personally, I don't gamble a lot but during the lockdown, my gambling habit has increased & that's still alarming for me LOL though I'm not an addictive one. Study shows that among the new gambler who have been attracted into gambling during the lockdown, 48% have been stickied or have increased their gambling habit. It makes sense why gambling is increasing.
419  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 30, 2021, 05:00:09 PM
Does anyone have an idea of how much the money was worth when it was moved from the escrow?
Without double checking the numbers (I may have missed a transaction), it adds up to 40,948.51 USD based on Blockchair's USD estimate at the time funds were moved from the escrow address.
You are right. I have presented the amount in my spreadsheet & the total sum is $40,943 at the time of the move.

Again, the amount which has been spent earlier isn't considered as a part of the scam since there were few updates on the thread. If we consider that, this is the total amount in question according to my understanding which has been presented in the post & spreadsheet.
Though cabalism13 said, 0.55 BTC is questionable, from what I can see, a total of 0.56622723 BTC worth $18789 is questionable without any doubt. This is the sum of the amount sent for converting into USDT (supposed to be).
But if I sum the amounts which have no proof, the total is 0.84272723 BTC worth $23,875.96 which in my investigation may not have any proof.

@off-topic responses- Can we have another thread to have that off-topic discussion?
420  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉Owl.games🦉Sportsbook & Crypto Casino For Web 3.0 - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: December 30, 2021, 04:27:58 PM
I was checking put Texas Holdem Poker. It was interesting to play with the dealer. But what about having a board and playing player vs player as we have in SwCpoker? It would really be interesting & obviously of benefit for you if possible to implement because there's not a lot of board base poker I guess.

What attracted me most to owl.games is the zero-confirmation deposit feature. It says the transaction's fee rate should be greater than 4.979 sat/b. I made sure all my transactions meet that requirement but the deposited amounts get credited only after the transactions have at least 1 confirmation! Are there other requirements?
Probably that's fake/unethical advertising. I would really hate to see that though.
