361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading is gambling after all on: February 28, 2018, 01:54:17 AM
Ill analyze gambling vs poker vs trading in three different dimensions

-1: House edge and winning odds-
A. Gambling: The house has a fixed edge of 10% or so, there is no skill, and you will always lose in the long run
B. Poker: The house still has an edge of 10% via the rake, but you are playing other players so if you are 10% better than other players (or 20% depending on the maths here), then you will win in the long run. Its very hard to get this kind of skill but its possible.
C. Trading: The house has a rake of 0.4% via commissions, and the game is based on skill. So its much easier to beat the game than poker if you are only 0.4% better than the other players.

-2: Risk-
A. Gambling: Typically betting 100% of your money which can be instantly lost
B. Poker: Typically bettering 100% of your money which can be instantly lost
C: Trading: Uness you are using margin, the loss is rarely 100%. A typical crypto loss is around 5-10%. On the worst of days, bitcoin goes down maybe 50% before having a hard rebound and if you have patience you wont even need to take that loss. You control your risk. You can set stop losses, you can catch rebounds. A good trader only takes losses of less than 1-5%, and makes wins of 50%+. Youd have to be in dozens of these losing trades in a row to lose your money.

-3: Bitcoin X factor -
Bitcoin has historically been in a bull market. Even with the 'rake' and even as a bad trader, the odds are always highly in favor of investors. Its still a zero sum game but the people who pay are going to be the big time investors that buy at the very top of $1M (or maybe it was $20K). So if all you do is make long trades, it is very hard to lose fiat (but easy to lose coins). This of course will no longer be the case once bitcoin finally fails.
Well, life is gamble too that is why we have to gamble all the time because without taking risk I don't know if we will still win the battle here in the world, it is fine to do trading but be ready when you lose since you cannot win here all the time especially when you are daily trading or still have the job.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn through Airdrop? on: February 28, 2018, 01:35:18 AM
Here I think is what you looking for:
Step 1: download or obtain an ER20 wallet such as trust or my etherwallet so you can have a valid ETH address to use to receive your tokens
Step 2: sign up for telegram, twitter and few other social sites. Many airdrops require you to join in their profiles and groups.
Step 3: look out for a solid airdrop to join in and follow the procedures required. You can join in as many as you want but remember there are many scams out there. Never give your private key or personal information to anyone.
Just be careful also in giving your information since not all airdrops will give you your token, and just don't rely on this there are many ways to earn, just do this as sideline but not as just a full time, let us make life by not just relying here in this free tokens that most of the time is a waste of time.
363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: has trading become difficult? on: February 27, 2018, 06:44:53 PM
Well its simple Smiley if you trading with short term its very hard we cant predict price 100% but if you invest on longterm just buy at dip and see the progres Smiley just know whent to get out cause sometime altcoin/bitcoin making a correction after got new ATH
It is not simple as to what you are thinking but it depends on the person doing trading, if you have just enough patience to do trading and is willing to embrace all the consequences, the risk factor, the possible loss, your time they you can do trading but if not then think before entering.
364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: February 27, 2018, 06:31:41 PM
I think you missed the time to buy bitcoin. Now the price is rising constantly. While you are thinking about doing or not doing, its price will grow even more. I think you better consider something cheaper.
But why? It seems to me that the price has not reached its maximum value. And this means that buying bitcoin now, you will earn tomorrow.Maybe it will not be such a big income, but it will.
You see? not only I have this opinion. It is necessary to work on cheaper currency. To monitor its changes and with good growth, to sell it without thinking.
If you buy and sell constantly the currency by owning large amounts, then this can adversely affect its value. But on a cheap currency you can lose all your money. at all.
I believe in bitcoin much more than any coins, but still did not put all money into it, yes it will really make you rich if you have an investment and will just withdraw in the future but you still should have some money in your bank account that you can use when needed so that you cannot your investment in bitcoin.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: February 27, 2018, 04:31:32 PM
bitcoin cant end the world neediness on the grounds that bitcoin can't do it inspite of all speculators put resources into bitcoin yet not all end up rich and not all can put resources into bitcoin destitution is in there if all individuals turned out to be rich do you think our life is impartial? do you surmise that life is testing? That is the reason neediness can't end by basic help of bitcoin.
It cannot end the whole word but it can always end poverty of each individual who stays here or has chose to believe and continuously encouraging people so he can also help the crypto industry and not just after him since crypto relies on the demand so it is better if the demand will increase always.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True BTC believers on: February 27, 2018, 04:17:08 PM
I think it would be fun to have some kind of an idea about why people are in on the 'crypto-wave'. Let me be clear, that there is no right or wrong answers and both are good and none are 'better'..
Is it entirely because of the money that can be gained from the potential price increases, or is it because you believe in the tech? Maybe you do not believe in the BTC but other cryptos, that counts as well for 'believing in the tech'.
If you do not know whether you believe in it or not, you have not read enough about it, and then you are in because of potential gains.

I personally do not care at all about the reason, and there is not one of the two which are morally 'best'. It is completely okay to invest from the only belief and hope, that the money invested will become more worth. I just think it is fun to see

I strongly believe in bitcoin, it makes me happy and financially independent. This is the only and most important, in my opinion, reason for faith. Need a cold-blooded mindset when you conduct operations with it, so as not to lose your savings.
During the time that I don't know bitcoin yet I am always sad and always thinking that how can I change the life of my family, because honestly my salary is not enough but when I heard about this one, I did not hesitate to try this and now my life is like a plants full of power, we are not rich but we are happy and satisfied even for a little things that we have right now.
367  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is bitcoin a theat to economy and bankers as will on: February 27, 2018, 03:38:13 PM
This is still a question nowadays because not all country gives a go signal for bitcoin. They are taking a lot of things just to slow down the growth of this currency. If not eliminate the whole system. What can you say guys.
If the banks will lost their one half investors and shift into bitcoin their profit will decrease badly and if it happens continuously their future will clearly a disaster and then the government also can be affected because bitcoin is decentralised and as long as it is not declared by the government as legal they will gain nothing from bitcoin. I believe that the very reason of not letting bitcoin works freely is because they are trying to create something that can be an instrument to counterfeit it.
This situation really makes me sad, why not that the banks and our government will just unite and add bitcoin to their system instead of hating this, there are a lot of people now investing in it and I am sure that they do have their data to gather enough so that they can have their conclusion since they cannot people from investing here.
368  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How do I avoid tax on crypto on: February 27, 2018, 03:24:19 PM
But I think we can still demand fair taxing system in case they became unreasonable on their decisions.
Lol, the tax system has been unfair for decades, and you think we have even a slight chance of changing that? If there is one thing that we have seen become reality, then it's the fact that the tax rates have only increased.

In no shape or form will people be able to demand anything from the government. Instead, it's the government that demands us to abide by all their ridiculous tax rates, which should be clear by now.

The only thing we are good for, is being used as cash cow for the government, and in case we're trying to avoid being a cash cow, the government will come after you and milk the money out of you, that's how it goes.
Yes, I admit that it is really an unfair system but what can we do about it? There is nothing wrong about tax, those government officials imposing tax system which creates more burden to people are the ones really making us more poor and they are all benefiting on it which makes us sick.
369  Local / Pilipinas / Re: The Bitcoin Whales on: February 27, 2018, 02:53:59 PM
oo malaki talaga papel nila dito sila kasi talagang ang nagmamanipula ng value ng bitcoin
Some of Bitcoin whales are using their money and influence to double even triple their earnings as result Bitcoin/Altcoin price will be pump or even dump
Bitcoin Whales = The crypto price manipulator

370  Local / Pamilihan / Re: CX - The Philippines' First Digital Currency Exchange on: February 27, 2018, 01:50:46 PM
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL? on: February 26, 2018, 05:44:28 PM
You will have to decide for yourself whether to hold or sell. If you are holding a quality ICO it will be great mistake for you to throw away all the money you could have earn in the event that such ICO maturity and become successful.
That is why it is important to have at least some knowledge with what you are investing at or what you are joining,  but for me it it came from bounties I do have a fear with the price so I am always selling it when the value is already available in the exchange but if it is bitcoin, then it is a different scenario.
372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: February 26, 2018, 04:51:30 PM
If you don't start, you will be a newbie forever. But, in the same way that if you want to drive you need to learn, before to risk your money it's better that you learn how to do it in the right way.
Well, it is always recommended by most of the people to do trading as added to your extra income but it is also recommended to at least know what you are doing, the coins you are investing at as the money nowadays is not easy to earn and can just disappear in just a second so secure your money to a coin which gives you enough confidence and is worth it.
373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What if everyone withdrew their coin in fiat? on: February 26, 2018, 04:30:46 PM
If they will withdraw their coins into fiat then there will be no volume in the market and I think there will be a shortage in fiat support for different exchanges and there will be no transaction will be made if they will just withdraw it all once. The growing value will surely attract new users and they will probably buy, and the old users few of them might sell
We have different thinking and perspectives in life, so I don't think that we will all gonna unite in just thinking and will withdraw our coins to fiat, I don't think that it will come especially now that bitcoin and other coins are quite too good and is worth holding and is continuously increasing from time to time.
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading sucks, I'll just hold my coins on: February 26, 2018, 04:16:39 PM
You can just charge it to experience and maybe try to learn from it. Crypto trading is never an easy thing despite what others are claiming. Not only must you require patience and a goos understanding of what you are getting into, but the risks will always be there especially for the alt coins that only serve as pump and dump instruments. I was also into a bit of trad8ng before but since I found out that I can't devote too much in it, I just decided to hold my coins and let it appreciate in value over time.

I think that's the best "acceptance" strategy one can do after a loss. However, that is good for a person who's outside looking in like us. But, for the person who lost something, especially if it's a big amount then, it's hard to tell him to charge it to experience or that it's okay because it is certainly not. What I am saying here is that everyone has their own call on what investment and venture they want to follow through in the cryptocurrency market. Just like everyone else, losing is tough, so if you feel that trading is not the venture for you, then by all means follow that because it's more difficult to regret after losing so much. At least, by doing that, you mitigate or avoid all the probable you may get in the future.
Well, trading is not really for all the people, it requires much patience and effort to look at the price from time to time and some will really pissed them off but some people especially those  who are really interested to do trading are excited whenever they are seeing the price of each coin whether it is blood or a green one and I admire them most.
375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: job and trading together.. on: February 26, 2018, 04:04:01 PM
The easiest and most profitable strategy for earning crypto-currencies is the purchase of altcoins that recently have been listed on crypto exchanges.
I usually find them here https://coinmarketcap.com/new/
I salute those people who can  do trading and their job together, I hope that I can do them as well but unfortunately I cannot due to toxic of my schedule in my work, most of the time especially during month end I am rendering 9-13 hours straight working in a day so I cannot find time doing trading as I don't have idle time in my work.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing? on: February 25, 2018, 03:40:55 PM
High volatility is a bad thing if you don't know how to master it.
If you have good skill and technical bases, it's very easy to make big profit even with a modest capital.
It is hard to master especially if you are not focus here in forum or in bitcoin price, so for me it is okay not to master the price for as long as you won't contribute for the reason of its price dropping.

Even experts cannot have a 100% accuracy in predicting the price so it is okay for as long as the trust is still there.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Five reasons 2018 could be the best year yet for cryptocurrencies. on: February 25, 2018, 03:28:06 PM
The good news that I have seen so far this year is that the full acceptance of Korea in bitcoin and they have added it in the market just like in USA, hoping that some countries will also follow this footsteps and if this happens then for sure the demand for cryptocurrency will blast and will create a great price.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money do you have left from your job? on: February 25, 2018, 02:52:15 PM
I do not have a fixed salary, because I do not have a regular job yet. I only have odd jobs, any job I want to do as long as I can do it. Maybe if I count my income $ 2,000 / year. Maybe in a year I can save $ 500 / year. But I am grateful that I can still eat and buy milk for the baby.
Well my salary is just fixed enough to cover our daily expenses and I have to render over time just for me to get additional income for our grocery and for the tuition fee of our children and that really breaking my heart I cannot evem save money for myself.

379  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you thinking about the future? on: February 25, 2018, 02:36:38 PM
Have you ever thought about buying bitcoin for your children as a future investment?
No I didn't. Although bitcoin is good for investment and making money, also it is good for other thing where you can use it as payment. Still there is no assurance for safety and invest just for your children. Investment in traditional way is much safer than in cryptocurrency. We can't hold to any speculation 'though bitcoin is the most establish crypto, always remember that in the cryptocurrency system the rise and fall are normal and some weren't able to recover so better to become wise.
Almost all of us were concern about future what it looks like and what crypto would be in the future. So for me, if we will just strongly believe in bitcoin then for sure we will have a brighter future. I am not saying that you should invest all but you should at least invest even for a little.
380  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: February 25, 2018, 01:32:19 PM
It's true.Bitcoin reduces unemployment because many people earn money from Bitcoin. And live freely. People save bitcoin for the future and families in any country, it is very difficult to meet with day-to-day work. Bitcoin can easily reduce unemployment in this country.

bitcoin is just a curency and it is just a medium used by employer and company in order to pay their workers for the specific task but with the increased value of bitcoin , many people are actually happy with it (including me ) because we can earn much more when compared to a real jobs offline but then again bitcoin does not directly reduces unemployment rather the people who are only willing to work can change his life and make a carrer with the help of bitcoin.
You are right that is why it is so important for us to have a good foundation or background in bitcoin so that we can have a good start with it. We are thankful actually that it came from our life since then the ordinary people has bring extra income and change their life.
