101  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 05, 2012, 01:46:58 AM
The site is fantastic! Functionalities rock! What I like the most about BitcoinMax.com its security! I feel that my coins are secured @ BitcoinMax more than @ GLBSE, for one simple reason; that the withdraw address is fixed and can not be changed without a request+prove of ownership of the withdrawal address. It is such point that made me choose BitcoinMax over any PPT bonds @ GLBSE.

I just love the interface of this scam!  So easy to use now!  Also it's easily the best scam out there, and we know in today's Lending category there are a ton of choices, so we thank you for choosing this version of Pirate's scam, a $1M + USD Ponzi about to go boom.

Remember, you guys are still sending tons of BTC to a guy named Pirate.  Every pass through deposit, every PPPT bond or whatever, all BTC to pirate, small % to his top affiliates, "investors" about to take it on the face.
Great, now with the Micon Seal of Excellence(tm) everybody can completely unworried invest using bitcoinmax.
As everyone knows, the MSE will only be awarded once an investment pays more interest than the federal funds rate, because Micon only trusts the government and never any private business. While he has absolutely no clue about entrepreneurship, he has played poker once, and hence he must know for sure.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: This rally is a pirate bubble on: August 04, 2012, 09:44:32 PM
So what is the estimated amount that is in the Pirate fund?

500k btc.
Then why does he only pay 7% a week. Lately he revealed to buy 18650BTC per day on average. So that would be more like 26%, and still he pays only 7% Cheesy
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: August 04, 2012, 09:39:23 PM
cool bitcoinica story
There is one thing that ZT did right, and that was to design the site in a way, so that everybody could quickly understand how it works - or at least believe to do this. Compare the success (number of active users) of Bitcoinica with the few others that have some similar direction. No one is using BitcoinOPX. icbit has probably not that much more traders. ZT clearly showed that there is some demand for such a site. And one could argue, that it is only fair, that those that don't know how to play lose the game.
Just curious, did you do this only on a upward ramp?
104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling AQ account (Level 105,91,72) on: August 04, 2012, 09:03:28 PM
For a moment I thought you will sell my account... Shocked
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statement about the suspect of recent Bitcoinica hack on: August 04, 2012, 08:26:02 PM
Zhou Tong: Why were there NO BACKUPS of the database?  When I make a website of ANY caliber, I always keep a backup.  I'll save a backup on multiple hard drives on my server so the chance of losing all three or four copies is almost zero.  Even when writing a long email to someone, I'll write it in notepad and save it to my desktop every couple paragraphs because it's SO frustrating to lose even an hour of work on something.

When your website had passed the $1,000,000 volume mark, you don't think it would have been a good idea to back up your database?Huh
Why don't you read the 1000000000 posts about this subject? And BTW, he had backups in cloud, but the hacker deleted those also. I guess ZT learnt that some off-site backups would have been better.
106  Other / Off-topic / Re: memorydealers guy: how are you doing? on: August 04, 2012, 08:22:19 PM
Roger aka memorydealers will have it back in no time. Look at what he will be releasing soon:

107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoincharts: Three months since we've had a red week. on: August 04, 2012, 01:34:53 PM
It's likely a short term bubble.. this is suppose to happen, when the price pendulum swings it always overshoots, right now it's overshooting to the upside. Once people realize they've got enough BTC and start selling the pendulum will change course and swing back to the lower price direction and overshoot again as the bubble pops.

Yes but the overshoot is going to exceed the previous highs by more than anyone can imagine before coming back to test 32.

This makes me confident that we're already at or near the top.

You were "confident" at $7.2, $8 and $9.  Your confidence has no credibility Smiley
He even promised that he will drop the bear, once we get over $8. So much about credibility Cheesy
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statement about the suspect of recent Bitcoinica hack on: August 04, 2012, 01:17:45 PM
I, for one, wanted to puke at the shameless plugs in that email zhoutong,.

Oh, yeah, where's the damn money? All I see is a bunch more bullshit, and no money.

You perpetuate the joke of a reputation you've developed for yourself. Your whining in that letter was pathetic.

Shut up, and return the stolen money.
Well, both ZT and to some extent Amir (genjix) wanted to make a fast pay back of the funds, which has been prevented by Donald and Patrick. So, if ZT offer to handle this would have not been denied by the this incapable consultancy, the theft would not have happened, because we would have had our money back since ages.
109  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Email received from Bitcoinica just a moment ago. From Zhou on: August 03, 2012, 11:04:16 PM
I don't understand why this so called hacker is only returning $140,000 and 20,000 BTC. I want my 100% claim back and the hacker should pay up if not put him in jail the choice is his.

Have you filed a police report?

For a forum full of libertarians, I find it hilarious how many people think the government magically gets things done without private intervention.

If you want a particular legal outcome, do something about it.  Whining that someone should go to jail on a forum for stealing your money, but actually doing nothing about it, is just pathetic.
ZT seems to be the only libertarians in here. Everybody else constantly demands police, lawyers, and so on. I am sure they would all be lucky if some government would oversight Bitcoin.
110  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Email received from Bitcoinica just a moment ago. From Zhou on: August 03, 2012, 11:02:16 PM
To be honest, if you're so damned sure that he's not in Australia, I'm not sure why you haven't asked him to take a photo of himself in front of a uniquely Melbourne landmark holding today's paper instead of trying to prove it through tenuous connections.
a) Bruno would not believe it, and would claim it is photoshoped, some actor, or something else.
b) Now if Bruno would accept that ZT is exactly what he says, what would he do with all his spare time?
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: predictions for next hack on: August 03, 2012, 04:09:34 PM
blockchain.info
Now that would some sophisticated hack, because, as you know, blockchain.info does not have your private keys

It's best to view the full web version so that all links and formats are enabled (they are there for a purpose).

(Ignore the nameterrific subdomain. I don't have a personal Campaign Monitor account. Your email addresses will NOT be used in NameTerrific marketing.)

Thanks!
Can you tell me, why you see the need to monitor who is viewing this and clicking which links?
113  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: In support of genjix on: August 03, 2012, 02:59:59 PM
I give up.

Better learn to be diplomatic next time.

Assumption and biased opinions are not how you persuade ppl.

Says the newbie, registered on the very day of the hack. Just saying.
114  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Kevin Lim = Zhou Tong ~ Not a conspiracy theory! on: August 03, 2012, 09:55:57 AM
Last year, there was a weird man on this forum, not too young, that was obsessed with Thai boys, just below the legal age. His name was Bruce.
This year, there is a man on this forum, not too young, that is obsessed with a Chinese boy, just below the legal age. His name is Bruno.
Man, I can clearly see a pattern here. Maybe Bruno is Bruce?
Evidence: Both name have the same length and both start with "Bru". If you rotate the "n" counterclockwise it magically transforms itself into a "c". Now when you cut to "o" horizontally in half you get an "e". So it is almost undeniable that Bruno==Bruce.
Please, someone should send out some private investigator, to actually confirm that fact.
~~ not a conspiracy theory! ~~

I'm going to say something here that I've never, ever said, wrote, penned, etc., on the internet.

You're an asshole! (at aq)

Do you serious believe that Kevin Lim is not Zhou Tong after the proof I've laid out? Zhou Tong didn't even take the time to state that he is not Kevin Lim. Normally he would be on that like flies on shit (which reminds me, I need to update the '...walks into a bar' thread).

I'm not obsessed with a Chinese boy named Zhou Tong. I am obsessed with getting the truth out for the betterment of Bitcoin, but you, my soon-to-be-bitch, would rather post vile at my expense, several times now, hence me reverting to returning the volley by flingin' feces like a recess.

So some Asian guy post a picture proving his Zhou Tong. The same guy post a picture of credit/debit cards with the name Zhou Tong on them. You or I could do exactly the same thing.

I will post more links making the KL to ZT connection shorly, but first I need to make a fresh pot of coffee and do some further research on myfreecams.com.

Peace, aq. (half serious, but you can earn the other half via an apology once I prove to you I'm right)

~Bruno~

At least now we have a scale: inserting 1 random character to make sgitcoin=sgbitcoin is evidence in your world, but slightly morphing 2 characters makes you an asshole. Cheesy

Anyway, while my post was in no way meant to be serious, I still wanted to show you, that it can be a huge mistake to assume someone is the same from a few far-fetched similarities.

Seriously, after Tihan Seale confirmed that Zhou Tong is Zhou Tong, your insisting on that he is somebody else, is well, laughable.

Then why did ZT not fly on this shit? Well, once you succeed to convince everyone that he is somebody else, he will no longer be blamed personally and maybe, depending on your level of success, must no longer be afraid to face justice.

But I understand you somehow. After reading this, I immediate thought "now I can understand why Bruno does not believe that ZT is only 17". Maybe you should not compare everyone by looking at some average 17yr old US entrepreneur.

So keep up the good work, but man, get serious

Mr Seale, please identify Zhou Tong, would you? It spares us another 50 pages of ongoing speculation in 3 different threads. Thank you!

Zhou Tong is exactly who he says he is.
One can already sense now, that Bruno will still not believe it.

Wow, a ZT style excuse. Different users, sure....  Cheesy
118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bitcoinica Consultancy abandons customers. Bitcoinica to enter Liquidation on: August 02, 2012, 02:57:34 PM
legal
You are so obsessed with the law, that it would be in your best interest to just quit Bitcoin. No really, fiat is your world. They even fabricate laws as they need. Leave Bitcoin, enter fiat. Otherwise you may even discover that bitcoins are used at silk road, another thing that is most probably not legal.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't let the news of hacks and bitcoin thefts+losses get you down on: August 02, 2012, 02:25:31 PM
You haven't said anything I didn't already know. It's a popularity contest and isn't related to transactions.
It is exactly not a popularity contest. But I guess, that is the MNW way to confirm you are just not smart enough to grasp it.

What is there to grasp?  Many more people own BTC then use OTC.  It's not a user friendly system for most users.  Are we spreading the information of the great Bitcoin for everyone or are we just competing here in an elitist masturbation circle?
One has to grasp that OTC is not a popularity contest, but a trust rating. And it is hard to grasp, that Matthew does not grasp it Cheesy
But I agree, OTC is not very user friendly at first.

I hope Bitcoin OTC grows just like Bitcoin itself.  New user adoption of BTC should be something we all want, yes???  Insulting other forum members intelligence?  I'm not sure what that accomplishes.
LOL, insulting Matthew? Now is this even possible? I don't think that he ever takes offence. He just loves being MNW.

Thankfully, Mr. Murck stepped in as a licensed attorney to broker their receipt. He was subjected to a lot of hazing and invasion of privacy here for doing so.
For the 5th time: Under what legal authority is Murck able to receive and transfer stolen goods?.
Why do you even care?

Without him, the coins might never have been recovered.
No coins are back in the hands of their rightful owners. Therefore NO coins have yet been recovered.
Thankfully they have ignored your for-the-5th-time question and the funds are now safe at mtgox.

You have missed, that it could be BitBusters (and quite a few others) agenda to actually hurt Bitcoin.
And that should be an even greater reason for all of us not to boycott it.
You are talking out of your backside. My only agenda is the perpetuation and enrichment of Bitcoin, which demands that its real detractors (theifs, hackers, shady operators) be hunted down and made an example of.
Sure, that is the main reason why you (and others) try to prevent ZT to return the funds. Very logically Huh
You should really contact mlawrence, you are a perfect match to form some "Bitcoin crusade"
