It was getting tiresome updating the mint race results manually.

Automatically updated current standings can be viewed here: https://bitminter.com/mintrace

mralbi has taken over the lead with a hash that is considerably better than the one by bibene who is now at second place. Will we see an even better one?

Stupid question but how come you dont have something like this on the site for namecoins that shows what I assume is the uncashed out balance for said user.

Mine some namecoins and all will be revealed. Smiley

I'm still looking over your site for info on how to add wallet addresses for payouts as well as a good namecoin wallet. For BTC, I got a mobile wallet on my phone.

For cashing out use the auto cash out, it's under "my account" -> "account details" in the website menu.

Well Im obviously new to all this but from the images Ive seen, When using the UI on your Pi for Mine Peon there's a URL section for I uess an API link and then a worker name and pw field.

The URL is probably for mining. See the front page of https://bitminter.com for that. For the password put X or whatever you want. Any password is accepted for mining.

So I don't have to read 50+ pages, can minepoeon on the rPi be used for you guys like it can for say bitcoin.cz ?

Since Bitminter supports all the mining protocols (Stratum, GBT and getwork), anything should work.

Maybe someone using Minepeon can comment?

I noticed that the donation page ignores the hundredths when you're putting in a percentage. I was trying to put in 0.25% to activate the API perk, but it keeps rounding down to 0.2%. Ended up having to put in 0.3% to activate the perk. Tongue

That was the case for me too.

Damn, you have foiled my evil plan to extort extra donations out of users.  Shocked

Sorry about that. Fix coming up soon Smiley

Did you have any joy with the bitfury usb miner and the bitminter client or is this still wip?

Working on that right now. Should be done sometime this weekend I hope.
1247  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: November 02, 2013, 08:30:26 AM
Today we see bibene take the lead and heretik move into third place.

In the lead now we have bibene, jassem and heretik. Incredibly none of the three are in the top 50 list! It looks like smaller miners are taking over the race. Or are the big guns just getting ready?
1248  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: November 01, 2013, 08:15:07 PM
How do I compare this to another one to establish which is the lower? Do I convert it to some other thing?

Just compare the hexadecimal numbers. For each digit 0-9 is lower than A-F.

I'm updating the first post in this thread to show a sorted list of the hashes so far in the race.

Is it possible to download users transaction history?  I've had a scout around the website and couldn't find anything - hope I haven't missed it  Grin

That's still on the TODO list. I'll get to it. Smiley
1250  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: November 01, 2013, 05:34:18 PM
Whoa!

Hawk only holds first place for 1 hour 40 minutes before jassem snatches it.
1251  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: November 01, 2013, 05:12:47 PM
Now we are starting to see some decent blocks.

Hawk moves into 1st place. His hash should be possible to beat though. It's still very early in the race.

In the top hashrate list we saw Fefox increasing his hashrate quite a bit just in time for the race. After that the top 10 has been pretty stable, while the top 50 is seeing some new names and some old ones climbing. At the moment it takes 825 GH/s just to get on the top 50 list at all. This should make for a very interesting mint race.

I'm new here and to the bitcoin world generally, and just wanted to comment that bitminter is great.  I've been mining (hobby-level) for a couple of weeks now, and it could not be more intuitive or well-designed.  Great work.

Thanks, that's much appreciated! Achieving this was the original goal with Bitminter. Smiley
1253  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: November 01, 2013, 10:43:04 AM
The first 3 blocks are in. Maze305 takes pole position. Smiley
1254  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: November 01, 2013, 12:12:00 AM
And the race is on!

Good luck and may the best minter win Smiley

Mario goes KA-CHING!

Super Bitminter is awesome Smiley
1256  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: October 31, 2013, 08:17:20 PM
Also is there a list of all the shares I submit? A place to follow the lowest share so far?

We'll just look at the BTC blocks that are generated. That cuts it down to just a few of the lowest hashes, so we don't have to look at each and every one.
1257  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: October 31, 2013, 08:05:48 PM
Then why does CGMiner shows the highest share as the best one?

Isn't this one 445 million?

cgminer is calculating the difficulty equivalent of the hash value. A small hash or target value yields a high difficulty.

Try the links to prior mint races, you can see the hash values that won.
1258  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mint Race #5: Win a KnC Jupiter 550 GH/s ASIC device! on: October 31, 2013, 07:24:33 PM
Is this the opposite of finding a block? Lowest vs highest share?

No, the smallest hashes are always best.

To find a block you must find a hash that is below the current target. As the difficulty goes up, the target goes down, making it more difficult to find a hash that is below the target.

To win the race you must find a hash that is below the hashes of the other miners in the race.

I believe this dance was inspired by Bitcoin mining: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbo_%28dance%29

Thanks, BTC Trinkets! I've added the lapel pins in the first post.

*Any plans on updating bitminter java client to support MrTeal's BFL-based Chilis?

If it takes a while for a fully BFL-compatible firmware to become available, then maybe I should add a workaround for them.

3 days later you're up another 10%, to 220 TH/s. Smiley

3 long days to grow a measly 10% ? We're not growing fast enough. Cheesy It's time for another mint race promotion.
