is bitminter stratum being DDOS now ?

No. Almost 6000 connected workers and everything looking normal.

The other issue is that the live stats on the website do not accurately reflect my client stats .

The hashrates on the website are estimates. The website tries to guesstimate your hashrate based on how many proofs of work you submitted over the last few minutes. The accurate hashrate is what the client shows.

Shares submitted always at least 100 less than the client .

There's a delay from the work is received until you see them counted up on the website. Maybe 20-30 seconds or so.

1304  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter client (Win/Linux/Mac, BFL ASIC, Block Erupter USB) on: October 02, 2013, 07:41:53 PM
BitMinter client version 1.4.2 is out.

Changes from 1.4.1 to 1.4.2:
  • Remove password from credentials dialog, mark worker name as optional.
  • Support rescanning all ports repeatedly, not just probing new ports once.
Useful for those with usb ports or devices that go haywire but begin
functioning again a few minutes later. This option is available under
"settings" -> "options" in the menu, under the "devices" tab.
  • No more warnings about missing settings for Codebase and Permissions in
java console of newer java versions

Try it out:

If you have issues with 1.4.2 then you can still get the previous release (1.4.1) at https://bitminter.com/client/1.4.1/bitminter.jnlp

Is there a 32bit driver for asicminer usb's .335ghs.

Trying the 1.4.2 version on a 32 bit vista laptop bit cannot get the client to mine at all .

It found com4 then said tuning miner but not hashing happens .

do not know how to add screenshot in this forum .

You can copy paste the log messages. No need for a screenshot. Does it say anything after tuning timer?

Thanks, overunity. Seems like I have some more debugging to do.

If someone who had problems with the gauges in BitMinter client not working could try the current beta version I'd appreciate it. It's a little difficult to work on as it only affects a few users, but I made some changes that might help.

No worries, you're not the first to have that problem.

I like how bitcoin-qt shows a warning in red letters when it is out of sync. Other wallets should copy that.

Having a problem with the BitMinter app crashing on Mac OS X 10.7.5. Java 14.8.0.

I haven't seen that before and couldn't figure it out from googling. It runs fine on my OS X 10.8.

Java 7 is the latest. Not sure what the 14.8.0 version number is from. Is it the latest you are running, or is there an upgrade you could try?

Hey Doc, is there something wrong with the payouts? Should have gotten mine since the last BTC block, but nothing shows up in my wallet?!  Huh

Is your balance above your cash out threshold?

Is the auto cash out turned on? Leftmost column in the auto cash out settings.

Yes to both. I've even checked if I my wallet can receive payments at all at the moment and yes it can.
My balance went to 0 before the last block and so I'd expect a payout, but it didn't happen Sad

If your balance went to 0 then there was a cash out. It won't show in your wallet if your wallet is not synced with the bitcoin network. It has to download all the blocks. While you let it sit and download blocks you can look up your address at blockchain.info and you'll see the payment there.

Seems I was a bit quick earlier. This was a networking glitch at the hosting provider, not an actual attack this time.

Luckily it lasted only a moment.

Carry on. Smiley

Fame and glory!

doc has anyone  said they will send you a bitfury stick to work on? If you need one Let me know via pm as I increased my order to 24 .  I can mail you one if you don't have one.    Maybe next fri the 11th  for my delivery.

Thanks a lot for the offer. It won't be necessary though. I should have remote access to one soon, and probably later receive an actual device.

DrHaribo, Thanks for help, I'm now signed in my old account.

You're welcome. Good stuff Smiley

It's not working! I'll use another pool, this sucks

You signed up with one Yahoo account but try to log in with a different one.

If you don't have more than one Yahoo account, maybe someone else was logged into Yahoo on your computer when you signed up? Or right now?

If you can't figure it out then contact me at operator@bitminter.com - but please try your other Yahoo account(s) first if you have more than one.
1319  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [45 TH/s] BitMinter.com [ASIC support: var diff, Stratum, GBT, rollntime] on: September 30, 2013, 06:43:43 PM
It says it starts Feb,2014   not today

Not on the login page, the signup page. If you use an OpenID we have never seen before you will be sent to the signup page instead of being logged in. Since a lot of people do this by mistake there is a lightbulb with a message explaining what went wrong.

If you sign up with Yahoo account A, you can't use Google account B or Yahoo account C to log in, because we've never seen those accounts before and have no idea who you are. You have to use the same one so we can recognize you. You can add more ways to log into your BitMinter account if you wish, under "my account" -> "logins" in the website menu. If you have added more than one then any of them will get you logged in.

On the website there is now a warning on the login page about myopenid.com shutting down, and noone is allowed to sign up using myopenid.com anymore. If you are still using them to log in, please go to "my account" -> "logins" on the website (after logging in) and add another way to log in.

On the topic of login.

If I am not using myopenid.com, then this issue does not effect me?

That's right. If you use Google, Yahoo or whatever else, then it is not a problem. The problem is only if you use myopenid.com as they will shut down february 1, 2014. After that you won't be able to use a myopenid.com account to log in anywhere.

I advise any myopenid.com users to fix this immediately. Don't wait until january 31, 2014. You'll only forget. Smiley

Yeah BitMinter FTW Cheesy

My name is Doc and I approve this message.

I can't log in, what's the problem?

When you get to the signup page there is a little lightbulb with a text telling you what the problem is. Wink
