May be a bit early to say, but it looks like we are back.

Currently experiencing connectivity issues with our hosting provider. I'm looking into this now.

So does that mean I don't get the pre pay? It shows between 3000 and 5000 hps

Prepay is a perk you can turn on and off as you please, under "my account" -> "donations and perks" in the website menu.

3000-5000 hps is so low that must surely be wrong. Maybe 3-5 Mhps (3000-5000 khps)? That was a suitable speed in 2009-2010, but not in 2014. Have a look at some ASIC hardware: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison#ASIC

Hello Everyone as u can guess I am new to this and would like to get a better understanding on how the pre-pay for blocks works? Also
I have bit minter and cg miner running and the live stats show 0 workers. I have refreshed several times and still shows zero  Sad

With prepay you get paid when a block is found, without prepay you get paid when a block is confirmed.

If you have an extremely low hashrate (below 150 Mhps) then the website is unable to make an estimate of your hashrate, and it looks like you are not mining. Mining still works, you just don't get a live hashrate display on the website.

Prepay on and shifts that say.. every 4 hours is comming... but .. account ... is not adding up?? I am not getting, i am waiting, tis cost me money and not paying me.

You get paid when blocks are found, not when shifts are completed. Some more info on payouts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27062.msg2769824#msg2769824

Could the Dr or anyone else help me with this please?

I had to leave some support requests from this morning for later as I had other things to deal with, but I am getting to them now, no worries.

Apologies for the mining outage today. I wasn't able to respond as quickly as I usually do. It's also a problem being so reliant on a single data center. I'll be going for increased redundancy to prevent such issues in the future.

Back on regular server again. Live hashrates will look wrong for a few minutes.

You should be over on backup server now or very soon when your DNS updates.

Talking to data center. There seems to be an issue with server connectivity.

Just checking, is maintenance still on?

Under my account details, balance, unconfirmed and future are blank.  My workers are registering properly though.

Maintenance is taking place. But you should not notice anything except a short outage or two, as described before.

Did auto cash out empty your balance after we found the last block?

Why are none of the questions in this thread about the stratum mining protocol, which is what the thread is about? Smiley

any one have luck runnig ant miners or klondike k16 with bit minter software?

Antminer U1 works with the beta version of Bitminter client. Klondike is not supported.
874  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter client (Win/Linux/Mac, BFL ASIC, Block Erupter USB) on: February 17, 2014, 08:15:31 PM
Hi, could you tell me what software I need to use my Antminers U1 wit the BitMinter client?

You need this driver:

http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

Then it should work with the beta version of Bitminter client.

Quick update on the new Beta software:  I've been running the new client (1.5.0 beta1) now for 1 day 10+ hours for 2 Antminer UIs, 18 Block Erupters and a Jalepeno.. All are doing well, working normally.

The Antminers are extremely stable, with only 1 noted "miscalculation" over the time period between the two of them. They continue plugging along a 1.545 Ghps.

No issues with reconnecting after a couple of BitMinter hiccups.

Overall, a very stable client.

[I'm running on Core i7 platform, Windows 7.  Also running a couple of stratum proxy instances for some ASIC Cubes as well.]

Thanks for testing. That's very useful. The Antminer U1 appears to give wrong results when the correct nonce value would be very high - so that could be the reason for a few miscalculations.

Pool down, mining on backup!  Huh

ok it's back.

Looks like there was a connectivity issue for a few seconds, cleared itself up before I could react.
876  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter client (Win/Linux/Mac, BFL ASIC, Block Erupter USB) on: February 16, 2014, 10:40:44 PM
so only I have to do is just wait, right?

Yeah, let your mining hardware do the work. And when blocks are found payments will appear on your Bitminter account.
877  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter client (Win/Linux/Mac, BFL ASIC, Block Erupter USB) on: February 16, 2014, 10:10:18 PM
I got problem. I downloaded this beta version but theres no payment so far. I put the new version of miner for a half day ago but thers 0 btc on my account and it's not moving.
Work rejected. Server says: Stale proof of work
What does it mean?

You get paid when blocks are found. More info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27062.msg2769824#msg2769824

It is normal to have up to 0.5% of your work rejected. It happens when the server gives you new work, but you are sending in results based on old work data at the same time.

I just tryed my antminers u1 (the 2 of them) on my windows 7 pc... 1,54gh/s the piece.
So that worked.

Back on my apple... bitminter beta.. nope.

It works fine on my Macbook Pro.

Did you remember to install these drivers? http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

This is cool. A Bitminter user interviewed by Fox news

This seems to be happening a lot lately.  Is it going to be an ongoing problem?

The data center had a problem with one of their upstream providers. That's why only some users were affected. I don't expect that to happen often.
880  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [440 TH] BitMinter.com [1% PPLNS,Pays TxFees + MergedMining,Stratum,GBT,vardiff] on: February 16, 2014, 07:19:21 PM
About 30% of users currently have problems connecting to the mining server. I'm looking into it.

And we're back. Data center got it fixed. Apologies to the ones who got disconnected there.
