I have the feeling "Gentlemen" is some sort of an inside joke?

Someone on reddit wrote "this is gentlemen" instead of "this is it gentlemen" during a price pump a few months ago. Everyone was all giddy with the price increase they made "gentlemen" into a thing like "to da moon". True story.

So it's a typo thing like HODL?

So everybody waiting for that big thing to happen this Friday?  Smiley

Did he state a time on Friday and the time zone for it?
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 15, 2015, 07:46:00 PM
it's almost time for daily dump. my associates at the anti-bitcoin consortium are getting ready to offload a few thousand coins on all major exchanges. we're making final preparations now

are you stupids ready to lose more moneys?

At exactly what time are you claiming you will make this happen?

soon. you will know when all money is gone. better give up hope and sell now before too late.

Prove it

State an exact time or how do we know you are not talking bullshit?

At least state a range of "soon" like between an hour from now and 3 hours from now.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Must be said the movement is BTC is exciting on: January 15, 2015, 07:43:20 PM
Sooner or later we will go back to dull, boring sideways movement.

Btc-e -10 $ from bitstamp why this ? and why bitcoin free market have always almost same price

Some of the Btc-e fees are so high there is usually a big difference between it's price and the other exchange's prices.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is over... on: January 15, 2015, 07:10:55 PM

You stole that picture off tokeweed!

Hard to judge.

Massive sell off this last few days, sharp rebound from below $200 and now a steady climb in price.

Looks like a bull trap to me, the calm before the storm....or maybe people falling for the rumours on twatter.

Maybe it's genuine though, and we're going to get a steady recovery followed by another bubble now?

nice prediction

From 162 to 215.. not bad. I don't think we'll hit lower.

I'm surprised we went below 200.

Right!?  I just hope Bitcoin suprises us as we go the other direction now.  I really don't think we can go above $10,000!  Grin

Anything's possible, almost nobody thought it could go over $1000 in the early days.

And after it went to 1000, no one would say that 1 year later we would see sub 200 again and reduced volume.

Anything is possible either way

True, it works both ways. Anyone suggesting we could go below the previous ATH was ridiculed six months ago. It's anyone's guess how low or high it could go.

How come there are two "Bitcoin is over" threads?

I'm sure people felt there was no hope when they saw the price crash from $32 to $2. Plenty of people must have sold up and got out then. Perhaps history will repeat itself and those who sell up now will regret it in years to come.

Most traders that aren't into Bitcoin but more traditional shares like CFDs and whatnot are paying close attention to Bitcoin from the sides. The current prices is starting to be really interesting for all the boat missers that are serious traders in Forex etc.

Those type of people would not consider buying at the top, but when it starts to look like the bottom they might be extremely tempted to buy.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: January 15, 2015, 04:57:39 PM
It's not only bitcoin that's seen carnage this week then. It's a reminder that fiat can be extremely volatile too.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: And that there, is capitulation on: January 15, 2015, 04:50:33 PM
Pretty obvious from the responses who has bought and who may soon get FOMO (and buy).

Don't be hard on yourselves. It is really hard to buy when the price is crashing. I bought in the 190's with a bunch of coins sat on finex. Lost a few in a quick out at 187 then back in at 194 as the price went vertical.

+1

There were literally two minutes yesterday when the price crashed to the ground and shot up again. It was very difficult to guess how low it would go. Imagine having buy orders on at 150 and missing out by a few dollars.

i sincerely hope u bulls can break even someday

before u reply, i ignored all this freak show of a thread, i can just see my posts now

How can you ignore a whole thread except by going through all 10k+ posts and manually ignoring each poster? Plus what if someone new posts who's not been ignored yet?

Looks like BTC is going up some now, could we have reached to bot of the price drop? at around 170/btc

Viorcoin should keep going up if BTC does.

I do have the new wallet. I installed a fresh copy on a new machine.

This is my old wallet, I was just getting the last few stakes before I combined blocks and moved them to the new wallet.

Never had an issue like this before, so to be honest, was not expecting a problem...

Just odd that the wallet is staking, but shows 7000 blocks behind...

Perhaps it's connected to a node that's running 7000 blocks behind. You can check by using getpeerinfo in the console.

Has anyone posted a good list of nodes lately?

What's going on guys? Is it proving BTC be a P&D coin?

Like the poll says "what the fucking shit is going on!".
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: So.... Who sold at 160$? on: January 15, 2015, 10:46:12 AM
I wonder as well, are people selling at loss, or are early adopters cashing out?

Yesterday morning's dump happened in about two minutes. I expect it was people panic selling (at a loss).

you don't loose if you manage to rebuy lower

Everything happened so fast that I guess it would be mostly down to luck who managed to rebuy lower and who didn't manage it.
