So this:

"Comprehensive Prohibition Order Judgment Announcement
Rehabilitation debtor MtGox Co., Ltd. received on February 28, 2014 a comprehensive
prohibition order from the Tokyo District Court. Following the instructions of the Court, the text
of the judgment is hereby published:
No forced execution or preliminary attachment or disposition shall be made by a
rehabilitation creditor on the basis of a rehabilitation debt with regard to the properties
of the rehabilitation debtor during the period until a decision shall be made with regard
to the application for commencement of civil rehabilitation."

TLDR: Black-magic lawstuff maybe a few % of creditors understand.

Means this: http://www.reddit.com/r/MtGox/comments/1zpm6h/mtgox_20140303_qa_in_english/  ??

which means?

Honestly wtf is going on ? anyone?
142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why did people ever use mtgox? on: March 06, 2014, 11:42:23 AM
Because "Gox" is a catchy name. The dumbed down media locked on to it. Told everyone "Gox" was the place. Whatever the official TV commands the sheeple to do. They do it. No matter how many times they've been  burned.

After my Blockchain Info account experience. I no longer trust storing any serious amount of coins, online, in any account.  If you have an online account. Just assume they copied your password and user name when you signed up. They can steal any amount of your coins at anytime. Get hacked or go out of business.

And to my amusement. About three of my friends gave me articles telling me Bitcoin was going out of business. After all. GOX was going down.  Roll Eyes

When I saw my mum she gave me a  hug and said sorry bitcoin was over having just watched the news. Lol bless her I explained no it was just my bitcoins that were over and she seemed happier Smiley
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Britain to scrap VAT taxes on Bitcoin trades on: March 06, 2014, 11:36:40 AM
I have no doubt UK banks are being right pigs over bitcoin. Are you saying its hard to get a bank account for a bitcoin centred company or its hard to get a loan for said company? Seems if its the first then the only way is to establish the company first and then introduce bitcoin payment systems later ? Yea your right its crap for bitcoin but hey who said this was going to be easy  Grin

Also who are scan.co.uk banking with?
144  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Reset/Reclaim yubikeys that have been issued by MtGox? on: March 06, 2014, 11:23:50 AM
http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/7169/why-does-mt-gox-disallow-yubikeys-purchased-direct-from-yubikey-com

From reading this my understanding is that your right about your key...its trash. Nobody but Mt.Gox knows the key stored in your yubikey. Lol knowing gox that probably means just about anyone could know.

Note to anyone with funds in gox: Do not throw away your yubikey. Its only trash if you are 100% sure you have no recoverable funds on gox.

Only thing i read about cracking it http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/11762/how-do-i-reconfigure-a-mt-gox-yubikey so yes if your immortal but I did not do an extensive search and know bugger all about these things.
145  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Corrupt OS defeats air gap. on: March 06, 2014, 10:53:41 AM
The good thing about our approach is that you don't have to take my word for it. All of the code that handles Bitcoin is in uncompressed Javascript for everyone to inspect. You can also check network requests to see exactly what's happening. Of course you need to have some knowledge to perform this kind of audit, but if you don't, someone else will. We couldn't possibly try to do anything fishy here that would go undetected.

I have no doubt your 100% correct.

However does it matter if you are detected when the pot is worthy of a criminal act. Hell is it even a crime to steal bitcoins and if so in which country and with what kind of recourse for the victim?

Please don't think I am some noob ( I am really a tec noob) that's having ago at your product. I don't mean to do that at all and out of personal interest and respect to you I will take some time to have a good read up on it.

Point I am trying to get at is it seems without Companies being truly accountable (fear of punishment) for screw ups and outright fraud with respect to btc what is stopping them?

Things need to change if we want mass adoption and we have to understand not everyone wants to understand the blockchain or how to make things secure they just want it to work and not be terrified of loosing wealth to hackers every time they turn their PC/phone on. Or does the bitcoin global future only belong to the few? I for one have no wish to become the 1%

Again not directed at you at all I take my hat off to anyone trying to make bitcoin a safer and better world.
146  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Corrupt OS defeats air gap. on: March 06, 2014, 09:00:23 AM
Sure sounds great but.. your far more tech smart than the likes of myself this requires me to trust in you?

No you might say but if I don't understand the details of what your doing then how can I really have a clue if its safe?

I know we can never have anything really safe I get that but we need more than than promise's now days.

Bitcoin is far ahead of just about every law enforcement agency in the world. I just don't see how this can go mainstream without the bloodied piles of victims along the road to mass adoption.

Way I see it its these victims (like myself) that are holding up mass adoption. Every victim is one more human being with a bad story to tell about bitcoin.

The one answer my little brain can come up with is accountability. From my experience many crimes don't happen because people fear getting caught. No one ever seems accountable for lost bitcoins.

Disclaimer: I still believe in bitcoin.
147  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I suspect Gox sold customer bitcoin for FIAT themselves -fractional reserve - on: March 06, 2014, 08:47:07 AM
@ tomvalois if you could share any links reference the Bitcoin foundations contact with Japanese authority's I would be very grateful. I'm going to search anyway but don't want to miss something.

The foundation is getting called out publicly of late so I can only assume they are being extremely transparent in this.
148  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I think I know where all the Gox money went..... on: March 06, 2014, 08:35:45 AM
Cry   I like the Neo-bee idea don't ruin this for me.  Cry

If there is someone that loves the idea of neo-bee it's me.
It helps spread the word I have been trying to spread in my Country for a long time now Wink
Plus I get to shop from retail locations here using bitcoins.

That being said, I doubt that the neo-bee idea will go up in air even if my speculation is correct.

You have no idea how much I wish I had a Neo-bee in my home town.  Really really want it to work out for you guys.

Thing is will the Japanese authority's have the right kind of people working on this to be able to establish and disprove things like malleability?

There are a lot people in this community able and willing to find out more than any specialised team they might put together. Man it sucks not having a clue what is going on behind those doors right now.

156  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloudhashing.com MtGox customer discount on: March 06, 2014, 07:44:59 AM
So whats this exclusive price per gigahash? hey if your so open and care so much please tell us.

Honestly I would think you were a troll if  I  didn't believe your just out to prey on gox victims. Hey maybe its a bit of both right? nothing like having a sneaky chuckle while taking others money right ?

Even if its not a scam (no evidence at all that its not a scam) your still preying on them IMO.

Yep I am certainly going to take some time looking in to you now.

I really want to post what you wrote before the mods deleted it but they are going to be watching this like hawks and rightly so.

PS.

Dont worry if you did not save your post before it was deleted I did that for you.

157  Economy / Service Discussion / Cloudhashing.com MtGox customer discount on: March 06, 2014, 07:25:25 AM
@cloudhasher that's pretty f***ing sick profiteering from people who just lost all their bitcoins to mt. gox....talk about bad taste.

If you want to offer a discount to drum up more customers then go ahead, but don't do it under the sick guise of philanthropy towards gox victims.

1000$ for a 85GH/s? You really pass on the fantastic bulk discounts of BFL!

Wow really its 1000$ for 85GH/s I cant wait to get a discount on that as a gox victim this is really going to help me get back in the game lolololol.

Well need something to do with my time while waiting on some hardware to land I guess I could spend that time checking out these fantastic offers. Roll Eyes

Edit:  I know English is not everyone's first language so I should really clarify. I'm being sarcastic.
158  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Corrupt OS defeats air gap. on: March 06, 2014, 07:18:05 AM
I am not a super tec guy like many here but would consider myself above average joe on the street.

If I have constant fears that my cold storage is not safe even if I installed The bitcoin client on a clean Laptop made physical back ups then turned it off how then on earth is this ever going to get adopted by the mainstream?

159  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: A rolling root to solve Bitcoin's scalability problem? on: March 06, 2014, 07:04:57 AM
Sounds to me like I'm going to need a bigger hard disk. Still I have every faith some smart lad or lass will come up with a solution. Seems bitcoins come so far it would be a shame for it to fall apart because of the block size. I just cant see it happening or maybe I just don't want to see it.
