Does 2.1.2 support butterfly labs?
Not until 2.2.0. But I think it has to be compiled with the bitforce switch to be functional anyway. You should be able to install it on an image then read that to other USB's though.

Hi lodcrappo,
Could you make an updated for the current release of BAMT to move cgminer to the latest version? This would be worth 10 btc to me....
Thanks, gigavps
Anything over 2.1.2 has not been at all stable for me, which is one reason I am moving more of my rigs back to BAMT with 2.1.2 cgminer.

Does linux use crossfire? I have 2 5970's in a linux rig and have never done anything with crossfire. And SDK 2.1 or 2.4 and ATI driver 11.6 seem to be the most stable. Throw a BAMT usb on there and see what happens. Or try cgminer - with no OC's at first. Check CPU usage also.

Good thing I printed my keys

For the mining software, it seems to be general consensus that ATI driver 11.6 and SDK 2.4 is best fit/performance for a majority of GPUs. Mining performance with 12.x drivers suffers, as it does with newer SDK. Some cards like SDK 2.1, but its only a few from my impression.
If this is incorrect, someone please point to reliable evidence of the contrary. I am happy to put whatever versions of driver/sdk/etc, I just try to guess what will be best for the most. Of course you can install any alternate driver or SDK you prefer at any time anyway.
I agree across all generations of GPU 11.6 & 2.4 tends to be a good compromise. 5970s seem to like 2.1 but it is a small increase and 6000 series cards can't run it. I can see an issue comming up with more 7000 series cards hitting mining rigs, but I've run this on 5 different model 5000, and 6000 cards with no issues. So I would say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Well it is the card to get...at $400...and new. Maybe we are looking at this the wrong way, we should be convincing people to buy them at $700 used, then sell them all ours and buy 7970's

I haven't hooked a monitor up to a bamt rig in quite some time.
LOL! WTF is a monitor? Thanks guys, I really LOLed...and everyone in the office gave the WTF lay off the drugs stare. I didn't even know BAMT had a GUI. Doesn't it just boot to a console? That's what my test BAMT VM does.

i pointed my guiminer box directly to it and only it... so i would assume 100%
No, he means how long has it been mining? And how much Mh/s?

It's going to turn out that a bunch of these so called "hero members" are going to be caught up in some of the major scams we've see with bitcoin mark my words - don't put it pass me that there is a cabal of these guys colluding to try different scams with some degrees of seperation I bet you could find some "finger prints" related to mybitcoin and previous other scams to some of these people. They then come back as perfect angels in these forums.

ha so you buy the stock out instantly at newegg for $325, resell for $425, and the buyer resells on ebay topping your markup Really though I'd pay your prices in BTC but paypal over $560, that's crazy - I hope you hid some of them in a closet for demand like this.

he must be on a cocaine and hooker binge with Zhou Tong. both guys have been MIA for a few days now.
Well maybe this didn't go as planned and we should ask Zhou for the details since he's back now

Alright, perhaps I should read the manual first. I am using a graphical desktop. I can't find the .bitcoin folder through the desktop. I can browse to the correct folder, and I know the .bitcoin folder exists, but I can not see it. It almost feels like years of Windows use has destroyed my brain. This seems entirely too complicated. Yet, people love it. I believe .* directories are hidden. If you use a teminal (I ssh into all my linux boxes so I have no idea how the gui works) you can cd to the directory where you think it is and use ls -a to see everything.

I remember something about a 1% fee for their service, but could not find anything on their webpage. Is there a fee?
Yes. Currently .01 BTC. http://blockchain.info/wallet/faq Great price for all the features available.

Guys, why "local dead on arrival" spikes so much ( 20% rate)?
I saw this when I was getting communication errors between p2pool and bitcoind. Look for connection errors in your p2pool log. EDIT: Here is the exact error Failure: twisted.internet.defer.TimeoutError: Getting http://127.0.0.1:8332/ took longer than 5 seconds.

Can I just do git pull and restart to update?

What is "P in cgminer?
Powertune.

in gpumon, my 5970 shows "99% Mhs 0/0 Low Mhs"
I checked online and I am mining shares, but how can I fix this?
What's the miner screen say?

Any ideas how to bypass amdoverdrivectrl limits on clocks and voltage? Is it a driver or card BIOS limit? On windows I could use barelyclocked to bypass clock limits on all of my cards and trixx for voltage limits on some of them (didn't work straight away but after some trying).
Linux is limited to AMD's limits. Unless you flash the BIOS atitweak/aticonfig limits are what you get.

Proofer it will only go to 100% at the temp-overheat value which you have set to 77.
OK, I just removed the gpu-fan parameter and am leaving for the gym. If I come back and my house is a pile of smoking rubble you will be in BIG TROUBLE! Ha, at least you will be to worn out to do much about it
