Yeah it's running much better than 2.3.5 for me.

Cgminer 2.3.6 is out. If anyone would like to test it here are fresh build instructions for BAMT - with preservation of the original files and BFL enabled. Login as root and follow this (you don't have to stop mining, just restart mining when finished) cd /opt/ mkdir ADL cd ADL wget http://download2-developer.amd.com/amd/GPU/zip/ADL_SDK_3.0.zip unzip ADL_SDK_3.0.zip cd /opt/miners/ wget http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/cgminer-2.3.6.tar.bz2 tar xsfv cgminer-2.3.6.tar.bz2 mv cgminer cgminer.org mv cgminer-2.3.6 cgminer cp /opt/ADL/include/*.h /opt/miners/cgminer/ADL_SDK/ cd cgminer CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native -I/opt/AMD-APP-SDK-v2.4-lnx32/include/" LDFLAGS="-L/opt/AMD-APP-SDK-v2.4-lnx32/lib/x86/" ./configure --enable-bitforce make
--submit-stale is default now and will cause an error if it is in your config. To revert to original cd /opt/miners/ mv cgminer.org cgminer Then restart mining. Feel free to improve this or tell me it's useless and I'll edit or remove it.

Loving the app on my 4S!
How did you jailbreak that? Not 5.1 is it?

Nice work Erik. Please leave a link when the next interview airs.

Can i set in bamt.conf for the rig to stop mining if temp reach 90C for one core ?
If it's really an issue, cgminer has a temp cutoff option to disable a GPU at a given temperature. PM me or check the massive cgminer thread for usage.

Wow go offline for awhile and everyone gets cranky. Sorry I didn't have access to my wallet from my phone. And whats my cost for a translator and shipping put it at Huh That wasn't stated anywhere in your original challenge: Build me an order for a 6 GPU rig that beats 1.4Mhash/$ (excluding frame) and I'll send you 3BTC. 5BTC if you can beat 1.65Mhash/$. With links and items available to ship - and don't put me in rebate hell. And if you're so xenophobic as to expect US or where ever you are based only replies to your posts then say so. Oh and btw Chrome has a built in translation function that makes most of those pages more or less readable. Your right it wasn't stated. I never said I wasn't paying you, I had no way of checking the information because I couldn't read it. Chrome did the job, thank you. Build me an order for a 6 GPU rig that beats 1.4Mhash/$ (excluding frame) and I'll send you 3BTC. 5BTC if you can beat 1.65Mhash/$. That's ~ $1179 Take an avg of 300MH/card is 1800MH/s -> 1.53MH/$ Take a max of 330MH/card is 1980MH/s -> 1.68 MH/$ There, met your requirements. You can do even better if you buy used, up to you.. Since my projections to beat your upper request are assuming all the cards clock well, and my lower beats your lower and assumes they all clock ok.. You can send 4 BTC whenever you're ready. kthnx 19o5QDoEqspRm27WDgun4Dov3n6QNdNCjo This is much better... 5BTC sent to each of you...I apologize for the delay. https://blockchain.info/tx-index/3860226/d02f27676f694826ca7feddc9ed8dd660750dc3813be9c15b42ed74a6d301b6a

Current purchase price per share is 0.00005116 BTC/share. BUT, that doesn't include pirate's cut, right? So if I set my workers to 0.00005115 BTC/share, I wouldn't get work, because the threshold is somewhere below that after the cut?
Correct, you have to subtract ~10%. In this case you should get work (when purchases are running) around .0000046. The price is fluctuating quite a bit though. So if I set my workers at 0.00004, where does the difference go? I get what it's set at. Does the buyer get a discount or does pirate just pirate the difference? Not hating - just wondering.

Still leaving the overall price way nicer than 1.65Mhash/$

GPUs still have that well beat if you buy slightly lower end new GPUs like powercolor 6770s or something like that for around 80$ @ 200Mhash/s that gives you 2.5Mhash/$ minus power though. Undervolted but still OCed they pull around 80W.
You still have to add in the cost of additional hardware. MB, PSU, RAM, CPU, HD or USB, PCIe extenders, frame hardware.

Even with cheap or free electricity, GPU rigs don't seem to make as much sense as FPGA's. Unless your buying used hardware of course, but I like warranties. A BFL single will get around 1.38Mhash/$, the minirig around 1.65Mhash/$ and if you already have rigs running they don't require additional hardware. Try and build a GPU rig from Amazon.com or Newegg.com with those numbers. I'd stick with FPGA's.

Is the warranty from delivery or purchase?

Back on topic...what if we ignore electricity costs (I don't need a debate about right/wrong)? What rig would give the most Mhash/$, and is readily available?

Epoch, there will be an official announcement regarding the Mini-Rig next week.
Are your announcement 'weeks' the same as your shipping 'weeks'? You guys are like wounded elephants. If you are serious about getting some BFL products, get your wallets out and call BFL. Their phone number is right on their site. putting your money where your mouth is, is an agreeable statement, but what do wounded elephants have to do with anything? Elephants never forget. I keep seeing the same dribble posted on these threads because people just think doing business any other way beside being perfect is unacceptable. Instead of reminding everyone what we already know, I am only suggesting to pick up the phone and do your own research. For the record, I haven't dribbled in any BFL threads. Just don't have $30K to give them, but like the $15K rig idea that isn't on their website or announced here yet. But if all it takes is a phone call that's easy enough.

How do you get $.07 electric in FL?

These new boards will take about a year to pay off.....
I sure hope you have double checked your calculations on that one. Payoff on a rig box is well before the subsidy halves for me at least. I have a pretty well developed spreadsheet and I'm struggling to understand how you would be able to break even before Oct/Nov. Magic? 6.6 months at current difficulty. This does not take into account depreciation and it's effects on my taxes at the end of the year, tax free money that comes out of the business because of the loans (from me to the business) to purchase the equipment. Other things also effect payback, like when you decide to sell your BTC. Difficulty can go down too, which most people forget when it's going up. Just look at posts from the middle of last year when others were saying that they would be out of mining because of the exponential rise of difficulty. There are a lot of GPUs that are going to be unprofitable soon if the price keeps falling. Ultimately, there are a lot of variables at play, but I feel I have done my homework and have put my money where it is best able to make a decent return. Good tax tactic. I hadn't considered asset depreciation. Your numbers are not too far off from mine, but I suppose I'm taking a conservative view on income. Thanks. Don't forget expenses like electricity and internet can be business deductions when done properly.

What about 7970's, can I get 6 of them on one rig with seasonic 1250 psu and a 890fxz GD65 or GD70 MB?
I have a little experience with this EXACT set up. 1. the seasonic will not push 6 of these cards unless you undervolt... alot 2. windoz will only load 5 of the 6 cards. i tried numerous times before falling back to the 5 per mobo approach. http://s1027.photobucket.com/albums/y335/jjiimm_64/10x7970%20rig/Good info. Can you fit 4 on the board without extenders? Would be like $2200/rig then. @2800Mh/s That's not horrible.
