201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old would you be by 2140? on: April 01, 2024, 06:12:00 AM
The year 2140 is a long time away, and we will not be able to witness when the last bitcoin is mined and mining activity ceases. I can't imagine how things will be by then, but if this forum continues to exist, none of us will return to discuss what we're saying now. What if the world doesn't even exist by then? Rhetorical question, right? Nobody can tell.

Those who own some bitcoin now, no matter how small, and can save until then, implying that they will not be the ones to spend it by then, will be worth more than what we are seeing now as the projected price of bitcoin continues to rise, and no one can predict what will happen to it by that time; all I can hope for is that it becomes widely accepted by then.
There is no doubt that none of us will be around by that time because it's not humanly possible to live that long, even if one does live that long, they won't be able to say or do anything at all but just be on the bed. However, if the forum exists, our discussions will exist as well and we will be seen as seniors from history just like how we see older accounts and users from back in the 2009 or 2010 era and think they are historical existences.

Just like how we regret not buying Bitcoin when we first came to know about it a decade ago or so, our generations from that time will curse us for not doing the same this time, they will ask why our ancestors didn't buy Bitcoin when it was priced just $65k. And who knows? People from the next generations might be very fast and powerful with technology, they might be able to hack or exploit wallets and accounts from the past that have Bitcoins in them.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 31, 2024, 06:29:23 PM
I've met someone in the place I used to work. The dude is talented, dedicated, sincere and hardworking. The company knows his worth in the sense that whenever he tenders his resignation, they'd pet him and add a little peanut on his salary. He has done this about three times and they keep holding him down with a little salary increment. He was my superior and we were kind of close. I've advised him more than once to leave and start something up for himself but it seems like he's contented with what he's been offered, but the truth is he's worth more.
That's one cool story bro. The guy seems wise and he is like faking his resignation there because he knows that the company won't let him and in order for him to be convinced more, they are adding a little on his salary.

If you think his worth is still more than what is currently being offered to him, maybe you can instead advice him to fake his resignation again? Lol and let see if the company will still feed him with more salary increments or he can just say upfront that he likes this xxx.... amount. That should make things easier for both parties. I think others can get an idea with it and they they might copy it as well. It only shows that a company is also scared to be left behind by their workers, which is an interesting find.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 31, 2024, 05:50:25 PM
Those people who thinks and said that Bitcoin is a scam must be living in a cave. If not, well, they are only trying to spread a FUD there and will take advantage of the situation by buying when the price dips a lot. Lastly, they can be the government or banks who thinks that Bitcoin is a big threat to their businesses.

There are still people who are aware of bitcoin and believes that it is legit. They can even use it but it's just that fiat is more legal on their country and let's admit it, it is much easier to use than Bitcoin. Another thing on why people won't use their Bitcoin daily like a fiat currency, is they think it's too valuable due to its properties (e.g. it has a very limited supply).
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 31, 2024, 02:39:32 PM
The taste of the people won't change if only crypto stays the same but no because regulation are taking over eventually and that is the start for us to see a centralized exchange and later on they now require a KYC. Unfortunately the same thing occurs in the gambling sector. It's like a double-edge sword because it may give us an extra protection but at the same time removes our privacy.

I think it's not a big deal in the gambling scene because if we think about it, we are also gambling outside before but it's only a big deal in terms of using a crypto as a currency because this is not their original idea. Still, a lot of us are now used to this and there are still some decentralized services that are left that we can use if we don't want to adopt these new changes in the system.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: March 31, 2024, 01:36:22 PM
$190k is a bold prediction and highly improbable but yet, not impossible. When the rally begins, things can go really high really fast.

1BTC=$190k would result in Bitcoin's market cap of $3.7 trillion (at the current number of bitcoins in issue). For comparison, gold's market cap is estimated to be over $14 trillion, so even then BTC would be almost x4 smaller than gold.
I don't really think so, since even $100k is pretty common right now, so an additional $90k I think won't hurt that much or doesn't look too shabby after all. See? You even said this  : ⤵

Quote
When the rally begins, things can go really high really fast.
It's okay if BTC's market cap is smaller than gold. All of us already know this because BTC is much newer than gold but it is still amazing that BTC's value is higher than it and then it also has an interesting use than gold. A higher market cap can result for more money being poured in the asset but that is possible for something like BTC. Even gold made it possible so why not in BTC when it is much superior than it?

But do you have the source for that $190k prediction? Did they mention methodology at all? We often see a bunch of "experts" throwing random numbers around. It's almost like the highest the prediction, the more media coverage it gets.
The explanation would be is because there are people like you who thinks it is not possible. It can also act as a hype which is a good thing for the coin and the more it will be possible for it to occur. There is no need for a source since it was only just a prediction anyway.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: March 31, 2024, 10:02:52 AM
Next week there will be super cup, and I am waiting on betting on that game because I am sure that there will be a lot of bets. But first, we need to see about this withdrawal or not thingy at 2nd of April. For the Turkish people on this sub, is there like some English account we can follow that will let us know? It could be Turkish and on twitter as well because that auto translates as well, I do not know any websites in English so any help would be fine.

Some Turkish person who shares the developments on twitter would be lovely so we know. I am VERY interested because if they actually decide to withdraw, the game is done, but if they decide to stay, then betting on Galatasaray would mean a possible win since Fenerbahce is coming out of such weird period.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: March 30, 2024, 05:10:53 PM
There’s always a bad wolf in every organization, either foundation, churches and other non profit organizations always have a people that want to abuse it. Churches in general is not a business but rather some people are abusing it to scam their members. There’s a lot of religious group here that turn into cut because the founder/leader abused their member financially and physically.

Churches has no taxes that’s why it’s frequently being use to gain wealth through scamming. I’m a regular attendees of our church but financial growth of leaders is something that I don’t pay attention because they deserve it for their sacrifices with their members. But of course I will not disregard that there’s always a fake church.
Yes, a church is not a business but it is a house of god and use to worship him on mostly Sundays. A legit church won't ask for money but people are only free to donate money there, as those money's will be used in the development of the church.

As you said, whenever there is legit, there is also a scam and fraud. Apart from financial, indeed there is also physical abuse. I already heard a couple of news where a pastor molested his members and some those visitors of their church. Those people don't fear anything that they even use the religion for their wrong doings. I bet they will got burned in hell once they died for doing these unholy acts.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does pragmatic play bonus buy really worth it? on: March 30, 2024, 03:31:56 PM
Good for you but in my case I never meet luck on this provider ever since. I think I never hit multiplier greater than x1000 despite I already burn more than 1K on this provider ever since I start playing this provider.  Cry
It's frustrating when you don't get what you expected, especially burning through $1K without a big win. Ouch! Slot games are games of chance, and the outcomes are largely dependent on luck.

Bonus buys may be quicker, but statistically, they have the same payout rate as triggering the bonus naturally. They can be a good way to target the bonus round if you enjoy that aspect of the game, but they come with a premium cost.

Pragmatic Play is an enjoyable provider with great graphics, but bonus buys entail a high-risk strategy. While they may offer higher maximum wins, they might also have a lower probability of achieving those maximum wins.

If you're not enjoying a particular provider or game, there's no harm in trying out others. There are plenty of options available, and who knows, you might discover your new favorite game.
To expect in something like gambling is a worse decision to make because it won't always happen and you can only hurt your self in the process. I think he didn't lose $1k at one go according to what he said but $1k is no doubt a good amount already. If we regret it, it means we might be playing more than our capacity, and this money might go on the right things if only we are not that greedy to chase a lot of profits in gambling but what shouldn't happened had happened already. The only that thing we can do at the moment is to move on and not repeat the same mistakes again.

Quote
While they may offer higher maximum wins
I think what you said first is already correct. Max win is going to be the same but if we want a higher win, the other way would be is to increase our betting size.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaks 2021 ATH and hits $71k! on: March 30, 2024, 02:46:23 PM
First time that we have seen reaching new All time high pre-halving, is it a bad sign? I don't think so, and we all know what's the reason is, Bitcoin Spot ETF and then those who doesn't missed it, in short FOMO. We have now undergoing a majority correction, at least -1000$ has been slashed after reaching $73,000.

However, the most important catalyst for a bull run in 2024-25 is not yet happening, - the halving.

So there is this speculation that we will have a big rally, culminating on reaching 6 digits, again it will be a first so this is huge for us and it just shows that Bitcoin as this time is too big to fall.
After pandemic, the usual cycle of bitcoin market got disturbed which maybe the reason we are going to have this halving with a new ATH. And how can this be bad when the main reason why we are here is to profit. Maybe you will say that there will be a major dip that can happen later on, well that was not new either and it was called a correction if not bear market. I don't think those who FOMO don't mind it. They do but they only believe that more increase are going to be recorded.

If there is truly one who don't mind it, then they can be those people who do a DCA. BTC is too big but it already fall although it won't fail just like that. It already run a long time and during those times, the support of people have also became stronger and won't easily disappear.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: March 29, 2024, 05:24:58 PM
In Serie A, Milan is playing better while Roma results improved a lot than what it used to be under Mourinho.
Roma have improved so much under De Rossi and they are a stronger and better team right now. The last two games between the two teams in the Seria A ended in a defeat for Roma, as Ac Milan beat them home and away. However, this game is going to be different from their recent games, it is a two leg match and Roma are in a stronger position that they were before. The game will be tough and very hard to pick a winner, but i think Roma will go far in the competition this season and they have to beat Ac Milan to go that far.
AS Roma development and performance under De Rossi is impressive because things were never been like this under José Mourinho and there were serious chance for them to eliminate from the top six spots into Serie A table, but now they are having good chance for the top four with their progress in Europa League is also impressive because after eliminating Feyenoord and Brighton their confidence level is high, and they can go through for the another final with now their match against AC Milan is surely not easy but still we can expect both teams could be give their best and have fair chance for the having spot into next round.

First leg match is going to be tough with AC Milan is surely also at his best but if AS Roma able to handle them at better point then surely we can expect much better performance from them into second leg which is going to play at Rome with they could be also feel positive and play solid for the progress.
211  Economy / Economics / Re: Early exposure of children to wealth and investments on: March 29, 2024, 04:46:46 PM
I am a prime example of how raising your children and staring them on everything possible as early as possible is life changing.  My father was an extremely successful guy who was very investment savvy.  I remember being 7-8 years old seeing him sit at his computer placing stock trades.  I remember him teaching me, and it just being so damn confusing and I'll never forget saying "I'll never understand this stuff, it's so interesting and cool but man, I can't wrap my brain around it".  Well now it's what I do for a living, teach people about investing, as a financial advisor.  I take great pride in being an ethical advisor and doing things the right way.  I have my father to thank, I just wish he'd have been around to see it.  So heck yes, there's absolutely nothing wrong with teaching them at age 1!  I kid, but seriously.  My favorite legendary hacktavist's father use to play educational tapes for him when he was a baby in the crib.  His mother thought he was nuts.  The guy become a genius programmer, and Mr Robot the tv show in part is based off of him.  It's never to early for those of you parents in this thread.  Of course don't shove it down their throats, but introduce all sorts of stuff to them.  It will pay off.
First of all, glad to know that your father took a good step and made you successful. It is said that a child's mind is like a new book on which whatever you write will be written clearly. I believe that many things children can learn through love, they cannot learn through anger or pressure. If children are started to be told about money and its importance from the very beginning, interest will develop in children.

And when we are interested in something, we learn it quickly instead of doing it by force. Parents can never wish harm to their children, parents are the only ones who want to see their children succeed even more than themselves. So definitely, parents do very well to teach their children from the beginning to live and cope with life.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 29, 2024, 03:10:53 PM
I see that the performance of Manchester City players is quite even in all their lines and indeed they have proven that they do not experience a decline in performance when there is player rotation, the same goes for what will happen in the future, it is true that Kyle Walker is quite an influential player but that doesn't mean that if he is absent then the team's performance will decrease drastically.

Manchester City will face 2 difficult matches in the near future, against Arsenal and against Real Madrid and with the problems they are currently facing, many of their players are injured, even though it is difficult, I think Manchester City still has a big chance of getting through these difficult matches victory.
Manchester City is one of the most competitive side in Premier League and their performance in last 10 games are clearly showing how things are going for this season 8 wins and 2 draws and Arsenal which is currently at the top of the league table is also having good time with they have 9 wins and 1 lost which mean both are on same level and things are going to be interested in this game which is surely going to be final for these teams with in case of win for the Manchester City we will have no chance for the Arsenal in rest of the season for title hopes and same going to happen with Manchester City but one this is surely Liverpool is surely going to be happy in case of Manchester City win or draw because this will bring them to the top so they are going to support them for this.

With good number of injuries and now we are having too many tough games in few days this is going to be not easy for them because things are not in not good shape, and they have to manage with available players which are surely not as we have top quality players which are now out with injuries.

Todd Boehly will be removed from his role as Chelsea chairman in 2027 as part of a unique agreement among the club's owners, according to a report.
https://www.90min.com/posts/todd-boehly-to-be-removed-chelsea-chairman
Some journalists report that Chelsea's current chairman, Todd Boehly, will step down soon following his unsatisfied results as chairman. This decision came after the club's owners were also disappointed with his performance as chairman it must be like that, and I completely agree with them given Chelsea's poor performance this season under todd boehly. It's time for the group owners to do audit to the its club.
Too bad it will happen in 2027, it means Chelsea will not have any improvement and struggle to the next 3 years. Chelsea might relegated to Championship because they got accused for breached FPP regulations, who knows they will get a big amount points deduction.

Todd Boehly need to be sacked as soon as possible without need to wait til 2027.
I was also feeling same we are going to have no improvement in this club with this decision is going to be too late for the better future of this club as they needed to do this as soon as possible if they are looking for good positive change in near future after his arrival things were never been at their best which is surely not acceptable, and we have good decision, but now we have to wait until 2027.

Todd Boehly is having not positive impact on this club Chelsea even they spend huge funds on quality players those completely fail to create any impact after their arrival here in this club after arrival of Pochettino things were also expected to be better but nothing happening, and again they are going to stay in below half of the Premier League.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 29, 2024, 11:35:05 AM
It's not that they don't know about this, but they just don't want to know or care about it. All they think about is content, money and popularity, they don't care whether their audience is addicted or not, the most important thing is how they can get money from the KICK platform, casino and donations. There are a lot of streamers like this on KICK and it's disgusting to see them keep laughing and not caring about this issue. And unfortunately, they hide behind the words "freedom". That's really disgusting.
Some streamers do care about their audience and they don't endorse things that they know can be bad for those who follow them. However, that is not the case with all of them and most of them would do anything for money, and they have to do that because they earn a living by doing that, but they should at least try and bring content to people that wouldn't be harmful for them in any way.

Streaming platforms need to make sure that streamers on the platform don't go beyond a certain limit promoting things that might not be beneficial for the viewers or on a contrary, they can become harmful for them if they follow those streamers and try to do the same things as they do on stream.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 29, 2024, 09:40:52 AM
First things first, don't take loans for gambling Tongue.

The incident you mentioned sounds a bit odd to me because even if they update your wallet address, you should receive your funds because the wallet you had earlier should still be associated with your account and if they received funds on that wallet, they should know it is you who made a deposit and they should credit it without you reaching out to them and explaining everything with proof and stuff.
I guess a reputable platform would do that, but still, it's good that you got your funds back and they didn't refuse to credit them to your account.

One more thing that I saw someone else saying as well is to stay alert from clipboard malware because such things can change your wallet address after you copy it, which means you might copy the right one but when you paste it somewhere, it might be changed.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: March 28, 2024, 07:42:52 PM
Benzema being a talented player is not the important part, I understand that he has achieved a lot in his life but when you look at the situation he is in right now, it's either because he doesn't want to play or he is just too old I do not know the real reason but he is not what he used to be. Just because he had a good year doesn't mean that he will keep on playing like that, look at his "achievements" for this season and you will see that they are actually quite bad, he has done nothing.

This is why I believe that they shouldn't really consider him as good anymore. He is the type of player I would fire if I can, mutual termination so that you wouldn't have to pay his salary, he is just not that good at all.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 28, 2024, 06:29:52 PM
First we will have two exciting quarter finals to watch and it's great opportunity to enjoy exciting football between two strongest candidates for a title. Second, one of them will go to semi finals and continue to be one of strongest candidates for a title with three other clubs.

I only hope that the winner from this quarter final pair will go to semi finals with no player injury and no suspended player because with best squad, they will be able to contribute best semi finals for us.

Matches between Manchester City and Real Madrid are hard to predict results and even the last season, in a first leg, their match was balance and difference was made only in a second leg. I expect to see the same for their quarter final matches this season, difference will be slim enough to argue even the winner is actually deserved to win or not.
Well, whatever team wins and advances to the semi-finals, I hope everyone can continue playing with their strongest squad. And hopefully all teams, not only Real Madrid and Man City, but also other teams can also avoid player injuries. Because sometimes when we see a match where one of the teams is playing with several main players who are absent due to injury. So this can make us a little unable to enjoy the match to the fullest. The most exciting thing is when we see a match where both teams play at full strength. And whatever results happen will definitely be acceptable to all parties.
Now as we are heading for the last rounds of the Champions League things are heated up and all teams are trying to bring their best players for the matches with recent injuries are surely going to have impact on their performance prediction is never been easy for any game while all teams are at their best and have fair chance for win and going to next round but first leg matches are surely going to be interesting as we have the best teams are going to have better position for the second leg because advantage is going to have good impact on their progress.

Few teams are waiting for the updates about their injured players as international friendlies are having some problems for them, but most chances things will be well under control for the all as they will jump into these games.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 28, 2024, 05:35:51 PM
Sri Lankan test cricket team is better cricket team than Bangladeshi International test cricket team . Sri Lankan test cricket team played very confidently. De Silva played very well and that's why he was awarded as player of the match. He played  excellent in both innings and made centuries for his country. He made 102 runs in first inning of match and he made 108 runs in second inning of the match . Mendis also played very well in both innings. He made 102 runs in 1st inning of the match and he made 164 runs in 2nd inning of match.
I am not sure what they will gain from this win. Sri Lanka has performed pathetically against the pig-4 nations recently. After the retirement of Malinga, they are without a world class player. They do have some good spinners like Theekshana and Hasaranga. But apart from that they don't have a well balanced team to take on the best sides. Bangladesh is in even poor situation. The only time they perform well is when they play against SENA nations in dust bowls prepared at home. Even that didn't worked against Sri Lanka.
If we check all countries from the Sub-Continent region they are going down with India is only which is doing impressive in all formats no other country having anything solid which helps them for having any positive movement in near future as well due to their domestic issues and lack of structure which is most important for the improvement in quality and performance of the players.

Even they are having huge funds from the ICC and also taking good from their own sources corruption is killing them all around so I have feeling most chances things will be not going to improve quality in near future as well, and we will have dominance of the B-4 in near future as well because they are on track West Indies, Zimbabwe and South Africa are also having no good future due to their internal issues which mean overall we are going to have not good things even fan base is increasing thanks to IPL and Indian market.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 27, 2024, 08:54:31 PM
Sometimes Juventus' performance is difficult to predict in some matches, even though this time they are not in the lead, it doesn't mean that Juventus doesn't have changes in every match, even though Juventus have had bad results in the last few weeks, at least this time they can get out of their downturn, in my opinion, it's enough to play like that. , I am always careful when placing bets on this match because both of them are highly favored, but looking at the odds on several similar sites, Lazio is still the favorite, so I will probably shift my bet to another club which I think is easier to predict this match. ..
It is true that trying to figure out how Juventus would react would be a tough thing because they are a bit inconsistent these days, I think we should probably consider the situation to be a bit different because we are talking about a team that may win 3-0 or lose 3-0 and they both equally be not surprising for us.

There aren't many teams in the world that has that, normally a team is either good that they will win 3-0 and we would see that as normal or lose 3-0 and we would see that as shocking, or a bad team would lose 3-0 and be normal or win 3-0 and be shocking. Juventus is the only team I can think of right now that can win 3-0 or lose 3-0 and in both case it would not be shocking to me. This is why I do not bet on their games.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 27, 2024, 07:22:47 PM
Man United are not very lucky when it comes to managers after Alex Ferguson retired. They keep changing them every season or two with no visible effects.
Now the latest rumours are they are considering Gareth Southgate, but Ten Hag is almost guaranteed to keep his job until the end of the season.

The team's performance is definitely far from satisfactory. After finishing 3rd last season, fans were hoping Man Utd would engage in the fight for the title this season, but instead, they're witnessing their team struggling to even break into the top 5.
There's clearly something wrong with United's attack, they've only scored 39 goals this season, which is very low for a club of their calibre (for Comparison, Arsenal has 70).

I don't think anything could save Ten Hag's position unless he manages to please the fans and club owners by winning against Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Look, you're 100% right about United post-Ferguson. We've gone from a force of nature to a...well, lets just say its not pretty. Used to be Old Trafford was untouchable. Now we're just praying for decent results. This attack is pathetic. 39 goals? Arsenal has almost double that. Ouch.

Ten Hag...Im gonna be honest, the guy might not be the answer. Not his fault the club's a mess, but those numbers are brutal. That third place last year fooled us. Right now, it feels like we're backsliding. Forget the title, will we even make top 5? If not, changes NEED to happen. Maybe big wins against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal would buy him time, but thats a tall order. We're missing that fire, that United spirit. Something's gotta change, and fast.
This all is normal because as we have end of the era which create good success things take change and clubs or teams face transition period which creates problems but sometime things take time more than expected as we have in Manchester United case with their recent performance all is not good even they have few top quality players which can bring good results but as team they fail to create better things and their depth is also not as they want.

Players confidence level is also at their lowest level even we have few good successes which are good for them and their fight for the better end of this season but still they needed more good wins which bring overall good positive changes in dressing room now these last rounds are important for the coach and all if they are able to bring better result then we can expect another change otherwise we will have the good number of changes in coming days.
