901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 23, 2023, 05:21:10 PM
It really looks like Lyon are a serious candidate to relegate from the Ligue 1 this season.  Sad  They lost to even Clermont home which had less points than them in the standings. Lyon have 0 wins in 9 games so far. If this goes on like this until the end of the first half of the season then I will be more confident about their being relegated.

For example Lens are also struggling a lot but they are at least better than Lyon. They are focused on the Champions League more. So if they shift their focus onto the league more then I believe they will make a good improvement which is good enough to reach safety.
I have to be agreed with you about this all with after nine games no win is surely deep trouble for the team like Lyon which is trying his best for improvement but nothing positive happening for them now next game is against Marseille which is also having trouble but much better side with can give them another defeat.

Most chances in this year we will have no good result from them because next few matches are going to be challenging specially after having defeat against Clermont things are going not positive for them in this season we have few wired results from different clubs but mostly are recovering with Lyon is still in serious problem which is surely not ideal for them and their fans hopefully they will settle before it's too late for them in Ligue 1.
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: October 23, 2023, 04:15:00 PM
Ronaldo scoring once again, that dude don't know how to stop. I get it, this is Saudi league, and even with all the transfers most teams did, the players he played against just a few million euro level players and not like United times when he played against much tougher opponents, even in most European lower league levels we see players that are better than this teams defense, so I get the people who keep finding this not a huge achievement.

However, I have to say it is still amazing because this dude is 38 years old and he manages to keep scoring almost every game, that is not a simple feat. There are tons of players who retire by the age of 38, look at all the players that got fat by that time already, it is really not a different situation than that, we could have seen Ronaldo stop training, stop playing, and he would have been doing badly by now, even have hard time at exhibition games, but he kept himself in shape and still scoring at 38, that's an amazing achievement.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: October 23, 2023, 12:40:59 PM

I agree with you, straight KYC after registration is sure far better and easier than having to go through KYC after one have won a significant amount of money and wants to withdraw, but the casino insist that the customer must pass kyc verification before his or her withdrawal will be processed.

I think thats valid to some point. Going through the KYC (Know Your Customer) process during registration can save you the hassle of doing it later when you win at a casino. The verification process may be smoother at this moment compared to a future scenario where you're forced to complete KYC. Even though it's a good idea to get verified early, you should be cautious about sharing your personal information during registration. Not all online casinos can be trusted. That's why it's crucial to choose reputable casinos and not just any you come across on the internet.
If I'm a small-scale gambler who uses a small amount of money to gamble every now and then and barely manage to win anything significant, I wouldn't like to do that. The reason for that is that maybe they don't ask me for KYC verification at all since I'm not making any large deposits or withdrawals, and most of the platforms don't always ask for KYC verification for relatively low deposits and withdrawals and KYC is only triggered if the amount is high.

So, as long as there isn't a need for it, it's better to keep it simply and stay private while you can. However, if I know that I'm going to be spending a lot of money, and I know that the platform is trusted, I wouldn't mind going through it first just to make sure that I won't have any troubles in the future.
904  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: October 23, 2023, 11:00:11 AM
Thinking that he will fail and lose his empire is actually stretching it too much. I know that it seems that he made a bad decision by buying Twitter, but we don't really know what he has actually planned for it, we have just seen the rebranding and whatever they are trying to do with the live streaming feature and a bunch of other things, but I'm pretty sure that he has some card to play in this as well because he is not just an ordinary person with an ordinary mindset, he thinks way ahead of what others might be thinking.

So, I don't really think that he is going to lose his empire or lose it all. Even if Twitter, which he turned into X, doesn't work the way he might have thought of it, I'm pretty sure that he will come up with something else to actually stay on top and not lose and just give up, he is billionaire businessman, he didn't reach there just like that.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 23, 2023, 06:26:58 AM
Even if it's an irrational and untrustworthy gambling website, I'd be willing to undergo KYC verification and hold a glimmer of hope that the money will indeed be transferred. $70k is a substantial sum for me, enough to secure a home in my local area and lay the foundation for starting a family.

For anyone unwilling to complete KYC for the prospect of receiving $70k, they might be overlooking the practicalities. We live in challenging economic times, and a substantial sum can significantly ease our path through life.

However, in the event that the process becomes unnecessarily complex, and the casino potentially engages in a scam, I can only resign myself to the fact that my personal data has already been shared.
I totally agree with that, and I believe a lot of people would go for it, some might hesitate, but since the money involved is enough to make up your mind, anyone with their heart in the right place would not bother giving their personal details for the sake of a sum that can change their lives, even if it doesn't change one's life, it will at least make things easier for them because as you said, the times are difficult in any part of the world right now, everywhere!

As you said, even if the platform turns out to be a scam, later on, one can settle down without any regrets thinking that they have at least tried. If someone doesn't do it and refuses to take the money only for the sake of not sharing their personal documents and then hears that someone actually did withdraw a big sum from them, the regret will be unforgettable.
906  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: October 22, 2023, 08:31:46 PM
do you think, a parade like this will be effective in reducing the level of gambling addiction?
Looking at the video, it seems that what the public will get from the parade about the gambling campaign, especially slots, is just the humor, while the moral message may not be as impactful, although it is possible that there will be people who will be awakened by seeing the parade.
In fact, on social media there are also quite a lot of videos that provide education about the importance of being careful in gambling, especially slot games, how a person can become bankrupt from previously owning a car, then because of slot gambling, it decreases to motorbikes, then to bicycles and finally becomes homeless.
We must appreciate every action to make people realize how dangerous gambling is if done without responsibility, but it will all come back to each person when they see campaigns like that, some finally realize it but many still gamble and even become addicted because everyone has free will to choose especially when he keeps seeing how people who have won a lot show off their results so he becomes so tempted.
Though you are right that it depends on every individual whether they learn something positive or not from a parade, we can't ignore the fact that the organizers of the parade should basically make the parade in a way that should give a clear moral message to the spectating audience that they are actually not promoting gambling or slot games but they are trying to say that one can lose a lot of money from it and people should be careful with gambling and slots in particular.

If I'm watching the parade, and the banners and everything aren't really giving me a clear message about what they are preaching, I might get a different picture of it and think that maybe they are trying to promote those games, and that might make me curious to actually check them out to see how they are.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your doubt has no effect on gambling. on: October 22, 2023, 07:18:41 PM
There is nothing new in that, your doubts obviously have no effect on the results of a bet that you've made or are about to make whether it's in sports betting or in a gambling game that you are playing, because your doubts are only within your mind and the result of the bet depends on your luck if it's a gambling game and on your knowledge and experience if it's sports betting. So, there is basically no point in having doubts when you have already made the bet.

Your doubts might be able to help you change your decision if you are placing a bet on a sports match because you might be unsure about a certain thing and then you may do more research and clear your doubts which might make you think that you need to change your decision after that information.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 22, 2023, 05:05:31 PM
There are groups like that everywhere so there is not really any excuse for a person that is looking to leave their addictions behind to not get the help they need.

However the most difficult part is to convince those people they need help as one of the most common human reactions is to refuse to acknowledge any negative consequences because of their actions, and while understandable, this is a reaction that will do nothing but to delay receiving the help they desperately need.
Convincing someone to realize that they really need help is difficult because they have an ego that will not easily admit it. They may deny that they have a serious problem that must be resolved immediately. They also don't want to admit that it has made their lives experience difficulties that could be even greater. It is indeed difficult and requires hard work from people who try to convince them because after all, they will slowly see the reality so they are willing to accept it.
That is the hardest part, that's why psychologists and the likes always say that "the first step to recovery is to realize you have a problem". If someone realizes that they have a problem and seek for help then it is x100 times easier to help that person, and it would not be hard to make them get better and stop gambling, but when we are talking about someone who doesn't realize that they have a problem and rejects any help, then there is absolutely no way that we could ever be helpful to them at all, it would be near impossible and we can't make it work at all.

I believe that with my full heart because I am 100% certain that nobody who rejects help could ever get better, you need help to get better. This is why I was open about my addiction back in the day, not for gambling but something else, and I got help and it didn2t work for a long long time, psychologist was good if you ask me but it didn't work for a long time, then years later one day suddenly it all combined for a big moment and I stopped.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 22, 2023, 04:30:42 PM
Right. But I doubt she would prefer not working at all. I mean if she wants to give her future family a good life too, she can choose to invest it and expand her winnings.
That depends if she has actually been saving up the money or at least some of it and has a good sum by now that she can use to either make investments or start a personal business that then can be used to spend the rest of her and her family's life, but if she has been spending all that money, she can't do anything but try and earn money by working, of course.

But that doesnt mean she shouldnt enjoy it at all. Like what youve said, 6000 dollars is a high reward and she can take her time to rest too.
She must have been resting if she has been winning that much constantly every single month for the last 25 years. If you are living in a developing or a third-world country, you can live a luxurious life with $6000 a month and you can even save a good percentage of it for the future.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: October 21, 2023, 08:02:32 PM
I believe that Galatasaray will not have trouble at all, the yare the team that beat United at Old Trafford, doesn't mean that they are going to win every single game, obviously they will not finish the season unbeaten, there will be at least a few, but this is an important game and they will go out according to that, and I believe that we are going to end up with something much better in the end for the season, because they know that they will be playing against another good team so they will care and they will play their best which will result with them getting the win.

I know that it is not going to be all that much of a difference and we may not see big change in quality, because Galatasaray is already better quality than Besiktas to begin with, just look at the league results so far for both teams if you want to see the difference and that would make sure that you understand how Galatasaray is much better and it is a home game too so it should be easy.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 21, 2023, 07:22:23 PM
Arsenal played too much ball so it was easy for Chelsea players to take it and apart from that Arsenal relied too much on scoring goals in the Chelsea penalty box area, and Chelsea's defense was quite tight and also very good so Arsenal had difficulty scoring goals.
Arsenal should be able and often take long-range shots like Chelsea and he fired several long-range shots and several times created opportunities. and 0-2 behind Chelsea, in my opinion it would be very difficult to catch up or even equalize if Arsenal didn't make changes because Chelsea played very well in attack and defense.
From the beginning of the game, I was not really happy when Arsenal scored, just fifteen minutes into the game Chelsea scored a penalty, and before the second half it was already two goals and D. Rice opened the first goal for Arsenal with that goal I was getting more excited with the go equality now I feel there is a chance for Arsenal to even win, and in football tales easily change, I  wished the additional time can be used for arsenal to add another goal. Chelsea actually did give Arsenal a very tough time and am even impressed with Chelsea's performance.
Against all expectations things were good for the Blues, and they achieve good result at the end which will give them good confidence because having one point against Arsenal is surely big achievement for them in this game even Arsenal done good job but still they fail to take advantage from opponent's weakness.

Mudryk having another goal which will give him good confidence for the future games even we have too much criticism for the Pochettino but still he is doing good job and now Chelsea after two away wins able to have draw against team like Arsenal which is good booster for them now they are at the 9th spot and having good chance for staying at the better spot for few more weeks if they are able to perform like this in coming games as well.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback on: October 21, 2023, 06:41:46 PM
Even me now, I can't remember when last have witnessed horse riding or see people gambling on horse riding because it's no more as popular as it was then, things have been modernized and advanced and there's more interest on other sport games than horse riding, we also see that most of the gambling platforms don't have this kind of game for gamblers to bet bacause of it low rate of gamblers participation in it.
Horse racing is basically a vintage sport, it was very popular back in the day when people used to take a lot of interest in the sport. I know that there are still regions where there is a lot of interest in the sport, but that's not the case everywhere because horse racing isn't as widespread nowadays as it used to be before. People are more into modern sports these days like football, cricket, tennis, baseball, boxing, and a lot of others that are loved by a global audience.

I believe this is the basic reason why there aren't a lot of people in the forum or around the globe these days who are interested in horse racing because they barely see or watch the sport, It's been years since I saw a horse racing competition on TV or anywhere on the internet, it's that rare nowadays.
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ's view on Halving on: October 21, 2023, 10:48:19 AM
CZ is very right. I think new people have joined the crypto verse within the last 4 years, which literally means that large numbers of crypto ethusiast don't have halving experience. Halving news is gonna get more hotter as we drive closer to the very moment, which will put more pressure in the market, making most people want to buy more Bitcoin.
I think it doesn't matter if they have an experience about it or not. As long as they can follow the simple principles of investing which is to buy low and sell high, they are good to go already. They can also read about the history of crypto. That way they are aware of what have occurred in the past. So, how's that? I think it's true that halving can cause a positive impact in the cryptos, and that is why we notice that each halving, a lot of people are always excited about it.

This is a good thing because it gives the price a good head start before the main even comes which will lead for a much bigger bump. People should buy now. I wouldn't want to wait to a point where the pressure is already high.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2023, 08:42:40 PM
He needs to make it his team and use every opportunity to make them realize that they throw the wrong player out.
He couldn't have done that; the Warriors made a well-thought-out decision. If only Poole had a strong playoff performance last season, he probably wouldn't have been traded. Unfortunately, he showed the opposite of what he displayed during their championship run, and that left the team with no choice but to trade him.

It seems like both sides are content, and it appears to be a win-win situation.
A single season of bad performance in the playoffs is usually not a ground for a team to trade or let go of someone they believe is a potential. There should be something not told in public by the Warriors' management. Or it could be that they saw CP3 as a golden opportunity more than Poole hence the trade.

Fans are divided on the trade but it is what it is. This is a blessing in disguise for Poole to show what he is as a player since the Wizards do not have a superstar. We'll find out soon if he is a superstar potential or just a support type of player.
CP3 has been bad at playoffs all his life, that's his curse, he gets injured during the playoffs very often as well, I think his body can't handle a whole regular season AND then the playoffs, that's way too many games.

Let me put it this way, lets assume that you play all 82 games, not like too many players too nowadays, but lets assume that you did, that's 82 games right there, then lets assume the maximum, if you play the maximum that's 7 games first round, 7 games second round, 7 games on conference finals and 7 games at finals, that would make it 28 games, so someone would have to play 110 games a season if they do that, and the minimum? That would be sweeping everyone and winning the title in 16 games, that's still 98 games a season.

Not everyone does that, but it is really obvious why they do not play that many games, players end up getting like 70 or so games even if they are healthy and just rest because nobody can play 100 or more games a season, that's just not normal.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 20, 2023, 03:30:24 PM
You are not late, it's the perfect time for you to enter the market. Here is what you need to do: Start learning about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, get any information you can find on the internet, do research, read, learn, do anything but get knowledgeable about the industry. Also learn about trading, exchanges, wallets, and every single thing that you might come across at some point in your journey. Once you have learned everything, including how you can join an exchange and buy Bitcoins and then store them safely, you should start buying every month and keep storing them in a secure wallet, don't use custodial wallets as your coins will be at risk.

We are about to witness the 4th Bitcoin halving next year, and generally, when that happens, the market goes up, we call it a bull run if you don't know that. And when that happens, the whole market goes up, led by Bitcoin. So, your investments in the months before halving can actually give you 2x or more returns to you based on how much the market manages to go up.

One last thing, the market is highly unpredictable, don't expect it to only go up, and don't panic when you see it retesting a support or correcting itself, that's normal.
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 19, 2023, 08:23:26 PM
Being a responsible gambler, we should have our personal winning strategies thst will help protect our bankroll without having to always use our personal money in making deposit to the casino wallet for funding, I've seen some gamblers that maintain their winning earnings for their all time bankroll without them having to make further deposit, whenever they win, it pill up to the account balance on the casino wallet without them making withdrawal, this has always been used by them in gambling as time goes and they make more win before the balance is exhausted on gambling.
Those are responsible and disciplined gamblers, they don't gamble more when they get some wins that make their balance exceed the point where they started gambling, they don't chase their losses by doubling their bets after every lost bet because they know it's a devastating strategy and it can finish all their money in no time, and to be honest, it's not like they never make more deposits, but they manage their bankroll so well that they don't have a need to do it very often.

Since gambling isn't for anyone to be constantly making money or winning and recovering your losses, even responsible and disciplined gamblers lose, but when they are lucky and winning, and make sure that they use those times in their benefits and don't get greedy and give all their winnings back to the house and utilize those winnings very well.
917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the selling pressure in the ATH level can be a problem to reach $100k? on: October 19, 2023, 10:29:50 AM
I don't think Bitcoin price will reach $100k immediately after the halving. If we look at the previous 2 halvings, Bitcoin's price took time to reach its peak. So it seems, for the next halving, Bitcoin still needs time to reach its latest ATH.

And for people who already bought Bitcoin at $69, they probably won't sell Bitcoin at around that price. They will have a higher selling target, $ 75k- $ 100k or even higher. That's so they can get big profits. But people who bought at the current price or even at $15k-$17k can sell when the price exceeds $69k.

But whatever the high price of Bitcoin later, you have to determine the selling price you want so that you can take the profits. The important thing is that you can still accumulate more Bitcoins.
That is also what CZ said on his post about the halving. If only the bull run occurred much earlier this year, then maybe that would change and we can even witness $100k before the halving occurs. Investing is about making a profit so obviously people are trying their best to sell above their buying price.

This can be done easily if we will only buy at the dip. Not all investors are the same. Maybe some won't invest anymore especially if they fail on this business. So, don't say that they can always accumulate more Bitcoins. Also, Bitcoin is getting scarcer day by the day. We need to sell wisely because we may now find it hard to accumulate again later on.
918  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: October 18, 2023, 08:51:15 PM

Here is another one of my betslips with a free bet I had.  Grin  These days things are going on really well for me in betting. However I'm still afraid of losing this amount I won in a short time.  Grin  Being greedy can be really dangerous in betting. To create a solution for that I decided to put a target for myself to withdraw at least the most of the money I have if I reach that level.

The league matches are closing in so I hope we can all win good amounts this week.
I mean think about it this way, it was a free bet, which means that you are not going to lose anything in the end if you lose it all. It was free to start that run, and yes if you could withdraw it the nit would be money, but if you lose it all then nothing came out of your own pocket, so it's still a better situation without a doubt.

I get that not a lot of people have that kind of approach to it, and some people would prefer if they could end up with something much larger, but this is still fine and not a problem if you lose. On the plus side, it looks like you are not losing neither, you are ending up with a win all the time, a good streak going on right now and I am hoping that you can keep that up and get even better results.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage greed to place your bet on: October 18, 2023, 07:44:10 PM
Betting only what you can afford to lose which should not exceed your initial budget for gambling. A gambler should never go above his budget. It is also important to keep in mind that in order to execute the budget as planned you need to create a strategy in where you put a limit on your betting. Otherwise, if you listen to your mind and do what you feel like would only lead to losing all. Or to a point when you won't have enough money to carry on gambling in the future within the budget.

Maintaining a low budget for each bet and also placing a fixed number of bets is crucial to maintain the budget. If you increase the wager your budget will increase to inverter to maintain proper flow of gambling. If you want to continue gambling in the future you need to take care of that budget and also not to go over then budget in it to maintain how much bed you can place a day.
I believe there is nothing wrong with experimenting with the bet amounts and odds as long as the gambler is enjoying themselves, and that is what it should be all about. One can already not win a lot of money from gambling, it's better if they experiment with their gambling activities, their bets, the odds, and everything, and enjoy the time they are spending in the casino and then come out with a smile on face thinking about how close they got to a certain bet with a high multiplier, that's the actual essence of gambling.

Those who are stuck in the loop of trying to earn some money in every single gambling session and get stressed out as soon as they lose the money can never actually enjoy gambling in the real sense, they are just like people who are doing jobs in offices where they have the same routine every day with no excitement at all.
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 18, 2023, 07:06:00 PM
I will have no problem doing that as long as they insist because it is actually affecting me negatively which means that they are asking me to do this just for my own benefit and maybe for us to have a more secure future safe from the threat of losing a lot of money in gambling due to the addiction. There is nothing wrong with a partner thinking about the betterment of their partner and the future of their family and for that, they can obviously ask their partner to stop or leave any habits that might have a negative influence on their future.

However, if I know that gambling doesn't have any negative affect on me, I'm not an excessive gambler and don't spend a lot of time and money on it, and I've never lost more than what I have allocated for my gambling activities, I will obviously try and make them understand but if they still insist, I might need to take the step because I would obviously not break the relationship just because of a habit or an activity.
