801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 20, 2023, 08:33:50 AM
I did this sometimes and it also works sometimes as well but more often it never works. Why? Luck doesn't stay long with us, maybe the time we arrive and see that person win will be the last time of their luck and miss following him earlier, while making the next bet is a losing bet. Or we are too unlucky that change his winning momentum?

As I gamble, I don't make it in a rushing situation, I'd just observe first.
Though we can gain some ideas from other gamblers, it doesn't mean that we have to follow them either instead, we make our own discovery. Yes, luck has never been shared with others, so be it.
That's nothing more than a myth. Your luck cannot be someone else's luck and similarly, you being unlucky cannot make someone else's luck change. So, when you and the other person, both lose the game, it simply means that you both were unlucky at that time, and it doesn't mean that one of you was lucky but lost because the other one who followed their bet was unlucky, that doesn't make any sense at all because luck doesn't see or know such things.

So, these are all misconceptions and myths that people take seriously and either don't let others know about their bets or don't follow others thinking that their luck might affect others' or others' might affect theirs but that's not how things work. If you are destined to lose, nothing can make you win, and if you are destined to win, nothing can make you lose, simple as that.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: November 19, 2023, 08:54:45 PM
Just for our goodness we should not make a person into danger situation. Investing on a gambling platform is good, there are few gambling platforms providing access to invest and provide with regular return. What OP does is not the right way of investing. Already a person is on his loss and by the time if he's been funded surely he'll go further. If he wins then the payment will be returned to OP, if not he keeps adding interest till he pays it back. This could make the gambler into more addictive and into bigger debts.
Since it's a business for him, I guess he barely cares about the addiction or debts of the gambler as long as he is getting his money back, but I wonder if a gambler would be able to repay the money or not if they lose the money they've borrowed. However, as OP said, he does everything after going through some paperwork or something and then he goes ahead and gives the cash to the gambler to continue gambling and maybe recover the losses which is like chasing a leopard on foot.

You mentioned that there are casino platforms that allow investment opportunities for a return of profit percentage from the bankroll, but I've not seen any modern-day gambling platforms providing this opportunity. I remember back in the day when most casinos here in the forum used to provide such opportunities.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 19, 2023, 06:23:30 PM
I've never been affected by this as I've always known that it's a simple marketing tactic by the casinos to hire streamers or content creators to play games on their platforms and either create videos or livestream the gameplay so that the audience can see and enjoy and eventually join their platform and gamble with them, and to make things as interesting as possible, they will probably do anything possible like reducing the volatility or increasing the RTP or even making streamers or content creators use demo money hence increasing the amount of wins.

People that watch these streams and get inspired by the wins and decide to try and achieve the same results should know that what happens in movies cannot be done in real life most of the times, and we should consider these streams and videos being movies which are mostly scripted just to entertain us and we are not supposed to follow them and try to achieve the same things like them.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a mega winner say no to public presentation? on: November 18, 2023, 05:08:20 PM
A casino would get publicity and more attention if they arranged a ceremony to announce a big win or a jackpot winner to the public because that is beneficial for their establishment, but the gambler should have the right to say no to such things if they find this being a security threat for them since there can be people who might go after the winner to get his money and no one can say that it is not going to happen because we live in a world where a person can be killed for merely a hundred dollar bill, that's how hard life has become on earth.

So, I'm not pretty sure if a casino offers extra money to a winner to accept their offer to publicly announce the winnings but I think they would ask the gambler if they are okay if they announce it publicly with their face and name or even arranging some ceremony and inviting the media for the coverage.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the Choice of Investors on: November 18, 2023, 03:36:55 PM
One of the main reasons investors choose Bitcoin over other investment options is its potential for high returns. Bitcoin has experienced dramatic price increases since its inception, and it has the potential to continue to grow in value. For example, in 2017, the price of Bitcoin increased by over 1,500%, and even with the recent downturn in the market, the price is still significantly higher than it was just a few years ago. While there is no guarantee of future returns, Bitcoin's track record makes it an attractive option for investors who are willing to take on some risk.

As Bitcoin has gained popularity and recognition, it has become the choice of many investors looking to diversify their portfolios. Bitcoin is often seen as a store of value, similar to gold or other precious metals, due to its scarcity and the fact that it is not controlled by any central authority. In addition, Bitcoin has a number of advantages over traditional investments, such as its global reach, low transaction fees, and the ability to be stored and transferred securely. These factors, along with the potential for significant returns, have made Bitcoin an attractive option for many investors...
For the many yes but there are some who thinks BTC is not going to grow huge anymore. This is why they choose new cryptos instead. If they are an investor who mostly invest in traditional assets yes, they can only consider BTC as an addition but for someone who originated in crypto. BTC is their primary investment. If they want to diversify, this is where they can grab some altcoins and tokens.

I agree to some of the advantages that you mentioned there but not to the transaction fee. Aren't you aware of the complaints lately of the people about the high transaction fee in BTC? Even if the situation normalizes, I still won't say that BTC has a cheap transaction fee. I think this is the reason why we have alternative coins to fix some of the flaws and lack of Bitcoin.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 18, 2023, 01:34:42 PM
I don't have any close person who owns any betting company, but what I know of is that I have seen all these middlemen in the business bet in their shop but in rare cases. if at all, a betting company owner decides to place a bet on a different betting platform or company from his, then I think there is a reason behind that IMO,  and that looks fishy to me and this act should attract some kind of questions because he should be patronizing his company in the first place.
If we have a friend like that who owns a huge business like a casino, then I'm sure we are not here now in the Bitcointalk forum because we are likely a businessman as well, and you know them, they are always busy. A middlemen might be different from the casino owner. They don't own a casino, but if they know someone who owns it, then maybe they can choose to play on that casino as a way of showing a support.

As for the casino owner, I think it's obvious that they will always play on the other casino because how can they earn a profit if they will only play on their own? Unless if they are only playing to get entertained. That way, they will never lose any of their wealth.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most important thing in a betting site on: November 18, 2023, 08:28:32 AM
Hey,

I wonder what other gamblers consider to be the most important aspect of a betting site.

In my case, it's the speed of approving and processing withdrawals. Knowing that all withdrawals go smoothly, without delays or issues, makes me trust the betting site... even if it may not have the best games, the biggest odds, or the most attractive interface. In the end, it's all about the money. Smiley
fast processing of withdrawal is important however probable fair games and reputation of the betting site is really important because for a betting site to be making withdrawal a speedy process it says a lot about their reputation how good and trustworthy they are. I do believe that in the gambling industry reputation is everything it determines all others and should be what every gambler should watch out for before using a gambling site.
I think the importance can depend if what type of gambler we are. If we are the ones who only play to get entertained, then we can care less about the withdrawals and stuff, but the one that can matter for us the most is the games and the design.

For the other type of gambler, it was obviously the withdrawals, odds, fairness of the game, and the likes... . Some gambling sites has a slow withdrawal process but I wouldn't immediately judge them of being less reputable. Maybe they only lack in personnel, and they also check the withdrawals manually? We can only doubt if our withdrawals are not processed for a couple of days, or weeks.
808  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️🔥 Good Sport Betting manual🔥⚽️ on: November 18, 2023, 06:18:24 AM
Sport betting is still gambling. We can increase our chances using the analyze but we can`t exclude the luck totally. So if we want to get stable profit we have use some rules that we see in this thread.
PS. I don`t sure that everybody can do it but if someone will try - it would be the good result and it means that this threads is helpful.
I admit that luck still plays an important role in all types of betting, even in sports betting, because gambling for me is luck.

so I really understand what you are saying and from everything that OP wrote, most of it is very true and if we talk about being safer with a bigger chance of winning, it would be better to use a single bet, for me it works but there is still 10% about how much lucky us.

sure, everyone can do it, but it depends on the mindset of each bettor, whether they want to get consistent results but with a small value or want to take big risks with a large value.
It depends on your skills, knowledge, and experience about what you are betting on. Betting on two games in a single day or doing one each day doesn't make you safe or make you win more unless you know what you are doing and you are pretty confident with your picks. If I have a lot of knowledge and experience about football, and two games are being played in a single day and I know enough about both of them, I wouldn't bother placing both bets because I'm confident about my knowledge, if luck interrupts the outcomes, that's a different thing.

Generally, sports betting isn't solely dependent on luck and skills, knowledge, and experience are more important when you are in sports betting, so one should be okay even if they make 5 bets in a single day as long as they can do proper research and analyzation and are sure about their picks.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Math and Gambling on: November 18, 2023, 04:48:42 AM
It depends on what someone is playing. Poker has always been a game of skills more than luck, and we all know that where skills matter, you can do wonders if you master those skills and that's probably what these people did since they knew the game and what goes behind and they mastered the art to the fullest and made use of their skills and strategies they have created based on calculations and whatever other methods they used and they gained success.

However, if someone is playing a game where there are no skills involved and one cannot even predict the outcome of a bet no matter how many mathematical skills they use or make any strategies because the outcome is random and it isn't something that is repeated so that you can make calculations and base your bets accordingly.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 17, 2023, 08:54:35 PM
Mbappe’s dream club has always been where his Idol was (Real Madrid) as that’ll be an enabling push to get the Ballon D’ Or which he desires so much, Kylian is a pretty good guy with his feet especially on the field of play. I think the Real Madrid reducing interest thought they had all their issues in the team solved, but currently I think there’s a missing piece in this Real Madrid side, the striker position and Kylina could be a perfect fit.
However, last season Madrid offered Mbappe a place, he refused and decided to extend his contract with PSG. The offer should be put to good use before Madrid change their minds and close the door. Madrid is actually aware that the position of pure striker is still empty, but that doesn't make Madrid beg Mbappe. The club is the main thing for Madrid above other interests. Now the situation becomes complicated when Mbappe feels uncomfortable at PSG, and Madrid's response is not as aggressive as last season.
I do not think that is what really happened, there was one more year left in his contract and PSG was offered the money and rejected, not Mbappe. There is no situation so far that PSG could be cut out from as a middleman and offer Mbappe directly, you need to first deal with Mbappe, even if there is one year left on his contract, plus his last contract extension was long time ago, before Messi I think, not last year.

So, the offer was to PSG and not to Mbappe. I believe, if Mbappe ever gets free, then he will sign with Real without a doubt, but he had the chance so far and he didn't really stayed free agent, he was offered something like 60 million a year, and couldn't say no to that, who knows if he will do that again? I mean if this summer PSG offers him an 75 million extension, not that I think they will but lets assume they do, would he be able to say "no I will go to Madrid"? I do not think that will happen, we are not going to see that at all.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: November 17, 2023, 08:26:50 PM
Honestly, most casinos have the stat tracking for you anyway, so I do not think that this really deserves an attention. Only thing you need to keep checking out is how much money you spent, and you should put a limit to how much you are willing to spend per month, and if you reach that amount then get out, I do not think that you should keep going.

I keep gambling with very low amounts, and usually that doesn't make me too much money and quickly ends, so I gamble like first week of every month and then stop, if I had a lucky week then maybe two weeks of a month, but I rarely get to see a whole month of gambling, I must be very very lucky for that to happen. All this thanks to following how much I gambled for that month, that's it.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle on: November 17, 2023, 06:01:05 PM
We should all come to terms with the fact that "usual" stuff or whatever is not real, we do not have "usually it does this after this", that's not real, chart reading is not done that way, what happened is not deciding factor on what will happen. What you could do with indicators is seeing what people are readying up for, like if there is a big wall at 37k and no wall until 42k, you could see that from the charts, and yes then you can invest, or have 38k a big wall and no wall until 30k, then yeah it may go down. But to say that you have seen it do head and shoulders so you think it will go up, that's silly.

September was a good month, October was even better, and November seems to be awesome, we just need to see those as the reality. We are nearing the bull run right now and we need to end up with something that will benefit us on the long run, if we can't do that then we are not going to end up with anything good. We should be considering that as an option and we could end up doing better.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conclusion after losing millions! that games are rigged. on: November 17, 2023, 01:22:01 PM
It's such a weird feeling that people would think that provably fair stuff could be rigged, or even if not provably fair, casinos that makes millions of dollars would rig and have a risk of losing all their customers.

Think about it, you make 1 million dollars per year profit, would you give it all away for 10 million dollars today? I would not, that would not make sense, I could just sell my company and keep being rich, do another business, or just retire and be healthy. I can say that me personally? I would retire for 200k dollars, that would be more than enough for me to retire, and would be a decent amount.

These people are making more money in profit right now then they could ever spend, they do not "need" this much money, why would they take a risk and lose it all just to steal from some customers? That never made sense to me at all. I understand that we are going to end up with something that would be a little bit of a big change if that were true.
It's true, it doesn't make sense for a successful and reputable platform to cheat its customers just for a one-time reward that will put its reputation at risk which might cause it to lose the trust and eventually go out of business which is a bigger loss than what they could get by cheating because as you said, if they are earning 1 million dollars a year or even before a year, risking that much revenue for a few hundred thousand dollars doesn't sound like a good deal.

Smaller and less popular platforms might try doing something like that because maybe they are not earning a lot of revenue and they are always looking to get more money by hook or crook, they also wouldn't care much because they don't have a very large user base and don't have much to lose.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: November 17, 2023, 07:21:44 AM
before when there were no means of trade from the old time people were doing trade by barter this was formal way of gambling either you give what you have to get what you want.
Giving what you have to get what you want is not gambling, that is called a trade, that is how we do it even today, we give what we have which is money, and we get what we want which is a thing or a service. The only difference is that thousands of years ago, people used to trade things for things instead of giving money and taking things because there used to be no currencies like today.

Typical example of gambling is; in a classroom a teacher would decide have a teste among his pupils and whomever gets the correct answer wins the money or to whatever that is being proposed as the prize, this alone is a gambling and who wins definitely get the prize this is a gambling.
I disagree again. You can't call that gambling, the students are not spending money or something valuable in return for that reward, they are simply answering a question to get a reward in return, that's not how gambling works, the students that don't answer the questions correctly will lose nothing but will gain nothing as well but in gambling.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Casinos with Online and Offline version, Are they the same? on: November 16, 2023, 07:03:53 PM
I’ve never heard the term offline casino before. I was wondering how an online casino could have an offline version but it seems as though you’re talking about an actual casino that exists physically. Very weird to refer to it as an offline casino. I think you may be spending a little too much time behind a computer if you refer to normal things in your life as the offline versions.
Maybe because you aren't really into gambling? But if you do, then this term will not be foreign to you, a long with other gambling terms which are not in the mainstream.

Despite of it, it is still impressive that you guess it correctly on how it works or what it look's like. That's right, that in order for an online casino to have an offline version, they need to create a physical casino. They can set it up as long as the country and place allows it but it will be better if they can set it up on a very crowded area so that they can effectively attract people to play on them. They can offer the same service but the experience are slightly different. We all know why.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: November 16, 2023, 06:15:50 PM
Indeed, gambling is not bad as long as we can control ourselves well, but many people cannot control themselves, so they end up getting a lot of problems from gambling. They cannot accept their loss and are still trying to recover from their loss by continuing to gamble another day with the same goal. Those who have experienced a lot of losses should be aware of what must be done to prevent a lot of losses by always trying to limit the use of money for gambling. If they could do that, they would definitely be able to change what they used to do and slowly be able to take care of themselves while they were gambling. They will no longer face the problems they previously encountered, but they will just try to enjoy gambling as entertainment.

We must always protect ourselves from all problems that may arise after we gamble and don't let us exceed the limits we have set. We must really avoid it, especially if we have experienced it before, and with that experience, we can always be careful when gambling. We also don't need to feel the bad effects of gambling if we can maintain and control ourselves well so that we will really enjoy our time playing gambling and have no desire to chase wins or recover from losses.
Even if we lose control, I wouldn't say that gambling is bad because it was our fault on why we end up there at the first place. Those who can't accept their losses are may be playing with a huge amount of money? If not, then there must be a problem with their head on why they are like that. Either of the two, they could need a psychiatrist because both issues can still be related to mental health.

If we only play for fun, no matter how big the money that we use, we will never try to chase our losses. While if we take the game seriously, even the smallest amount can be painful for us once we lose it. And we will only get shocked that these small amounts grow later on because of chasing losses.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not all educated are educated. on: November 16, 2023, 11:59:22 AM
Everything is clear and I know everyone knows that the government is focusing more and more on opposing Bitcoin. Before the invention of Bitcoin there was fiat currency and illegal activities were also done at that time, criminal and funding to them are done in fiat currency but the government blamed Bitcoin for all this. There were may be some illegal activities done in the past and was very minor but the government do not make it a base that is fully involved in illegal activities. The biggest fear of the government is that people are going out of their control because due to bank and fiat currency, they bound people but thanks to Satoshi he made independence from this system and now the government is trying to make Bitcoin centralized or make it notorious so that people will leave it.
They are only regulating it and at the same time allow crypto. We are going to be just fine as long as we can follow the simple rule that they impose. For me it's better than if we compare it before where they are totally against with it. Not that I'm defending them but no, they don't put all the blame to BTC. They know there are also other cryptos and criminals also use them.

It's just that BTC has a special feature which can favor more the criminals. That doesn't mean that most BTC users are also a criminal. BTC had still done something better, and even the governments can also recognize and thank BTC for it. There is no way that the governments can fully turn BTC into a centralized coin but if let say it's possible, there are still people who will use it.
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 16, 2023, 09:45:24 AM
I think you don't have to be a chronic gambler to have a disgraceful or dishonorable life. That must be the reason on why the person still get's disinherited by their parents. Add in that maybe gambling was a bit strict on their country. If the person is in doubt, well, they can always try to appeal. They only want to make sure that they have a good amount of money and long patience because I think that it's not going to be quick and easy.

Maybe the person in the story is also been hated by their parents? Because if not, I think they can make the gambling issue a secret, even if the allegations were true and no other people will know, as long as the guy is not popular and is only gambling online inside their home.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 15, 2023, 07:48:40 PM
When we are talking about "fighting" in NBA, not that many players throw punches, this is as hardcore as it gets. Draymond Green didn't do himself justice by keeping Gobert in headlock for that long, I understand wanting to protect your teammate, but you should just push or hold somewhere else, like grab Gobert by the waist and pull him away, that could make sense, there were many other players there that separated the fight, none of them did a headlock, look at all the players on the court, they are all trying to separate Klay but nobody gave another player headlock, that's not how it works.

Draymond "may" had the good intentions, like protect your friend, but headlock, and for that long, wasn't the way to do it. It's famously known that Draymond is a dirty player, he was the reason why Warriors lost a whole title, because he kept on kicking others, dude is a dirty player through and through, and this was one of those moments when he did what he does, and I hope he gets at least a few games suspension.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 15, 2023, 06:02:32 PM
Sadly, there are more people in the gambling industry who cannot control themselves when they are winning and they are not capable of doing that because they are addicted to it. It's really hard to stop playing when you have all the means to do so but in reality, you need to stop and not be greedy because no one has ever been successful in this world when they cannot be satisfied with what they currently have. Rather they keep grinding until they lose everything because they even choose to take huge risks like gambling just to increase their wealth or to become rich quickly.
The problem is that the player very often does not know why he is getting rich, I recently heard this in an interview with a gambler. He was just playing and wanted a lot of money. He doesn't even know the exact amount he needs. For example, even if he is lucky and wins $50k or even more. At first glance, it seems that this is a very good amount of money and it’s probably worth stopping playing forever. But the player will continue until he loses. But if he had decided before and written about it on paper, he definitely could have stopped, but almost no one does this, unfortunately.
It depends on a gambler's personal financial goals and targets in my opinion. $50k might be a very big amount for some people, especially those who don't have or earn that much for a year or so, however, the same amount might not be enough for them to stop gambling just because they have got it and it is enough for them to stop gambling forever. People from first-world countries will probably not find that amount high enough for them to stop gambling forever.

A person from a third-world country can start a high-scale business with that amount and sit and eat for the rest of their lives if they manage their business very well. So, it depends on things like a person's financial status, their goals, their background, or even their country of residence.
