Well if it would be a choice of high value like lets say 50k usd then I'd pick gold over bitcoin anytime and for any value under 10k I'd pick bitcoin without thinking. For values inbetween I'd have to see what I would do. Gold is way more stable so more attractive to keep money safe
well I'll choose bitcoin. because gold is can be use for only 2 reason. one is to hold and 2nd is to sell, but bitcoin is a whole technology and a whole currency. I can do anything with bitcoin. I can earn it with my services, I can invest with it. I can hold it. I can pay for things. this is why bitcoin is better for me. |

well, I don't think if you are not ran out of money ever it means you are a good manager and managing your money well(may be you are. you may have a lot of money thats why you are not run out of manager. good manager is the person who manage his monthly needs in less amount of money. and still safe some of them. |

Let's compare a bit these two, trading requires lots of time to be up to date with the current trends and with the current exchange rate while investing requires more time researching about that coin and you invest some money there and wait some time and check back if it is the right time to sell or not, now ask your self which one fits you. |

Guys, I guess you have heard that Apple will integrate Circlepay in the iMessage in iOS 10. Im wondering where is the advantage to use Circlepay (they use Bitcoin) instead of e.g. paypal. Most people will send USD or EUR and not bitcoin. Im sure Circlepay will use bitcoin in the back to do the transactions. Would it not easier just to integrate paypal in the iMessage?
For instance: Sending from Germany to my friend in the US 30 EUR. PayPal would just to exchange the EUR into Dollars. Circlepay would first exchange EUR into Bitcoins, do the transaction and then exchange Bitcoins into Dollar. What do I see wrong?

I'm not sure if the iOS 10 has been released yet but since we haven't seen how the Circlepay works for real we can just speculate how it will work. Integrating paypal will be harder because of their restriction that have, limitation etc. Exchanging twice a currency is a bit exaggerated because exchanging once is more than enough. |

Hey people,
I'm looking for a plateform to trade on btc. I currently hold some coins in exchange, but that's rather different cause you can only buy or sell btc here. There is no possibility of leverage for example.
I don't really know a lot about the different possible website, but I know that lot of trading plateform have... Dubious method or security. So I'd like to have the opinion of some of view before trying it.

One of the best trading place can be also this forum, see at the altcoins marketplace board and you will find that people make trading/sales threads to sell or buy a specific coin, this happens mostly when the coin is not listed in any exchange or it is still pending to be listed there. |

Don't know what to say about this because everyone should be a mini-economist about his own money and try to manage as well as he can, I try to manage the best I can and I always leave a small amount to help anyone and have tried also here in forum which was misused but this does not make me mad and bad to help others.

Skill and luck they both matter alot actually. There's always luck involved and always skill involved but the thing is if you have skill you higher your chances. If you only depend on luck then alot of times things will go wrong. With skill you will be more consistent then just luck.
We are (mostly) all here to learn and expand our skills and knowledge about how to trade bitcoins or any other altcoin so the more knowledge we have the closer we are from the profit, but the luck has it's own efficiency which sometimes helps us a lot even though we didn't know that bitcoin price will increase or something like that. |

keeping our money in exchanges is just a foolish thing as exchanges are places of to exchange our money and for keeping and storing we have wallets available.
Welcome to the forum(your first post), it is true that there are lots of wallets that are safe enough to keep our bitcoins but sometimes we need to trader them for another coin or for cash so we sometimes risk all our funds by sending to exchanges because of high potential profit that we expect. |

Yes, I have received bitcoin accidentally but it worth because I was involved in a deal that I got scammed together with a user here and after few months the real user (not the scammer) send back me the funds twice, so I didn't returned him but send to the user that we were scammed together, and I consider that I made a good move.

Why quit if your earning big amount of money on your job. You can only quit if your already tired on your work and decided to have a homebased job which is bitcoin.
I don't prefer to leave your real job... earning through bitcoin is good. and there is lot of opportunity to do so. but the fact is it is not stable... and for a stable way of earning bitcoin you need a lot of hard work and time. better to keep your job and work in bitcoin as part timer. and build your work first. This is the safest and wisest way to do it. however, if you focus 100% of your time to bitcoin and get lucky that your project will become very successful, the reward of quitting your day job for this kind of endeavor is very worthy. But, this is not always the case.. It is not guarantee that you will become successful in your new ventures in life. So, think and reflect on it a hundred times. But there is an exception, if your profession is about bitcoin programming or market or something that is bitcoin-related then it worth to be paid in bitcoin because if bitcoin dies then there is something else (another coin) that can replace or be similar with bitcoin. But not always is the right decision to quit the real job outside there. |

Low supply, people stacking the coin to get dividends and bonus for early investors. I think this ico is going to do great  It would be awesome if we can get listed in bittrex but i know is not that easy. listing in bittrex is pretty hard for a new coin. but if the dev of Omricron work hard and get a good starting price in small exchanges sites. then they will get a place in bittrex for sure. bittrex verify everything after adding a coin. I am not sure about bittrex's process but I like to have Omicron on yobit as I am very much familiar with their portal for trading. I personally prefer to have many exchanges for a same coin, in that way I like to have Omicron on poloniex too for the same reason, yes I am having account there and familiar with their trading portal too. Being real we can't expect a brand new coin to be listed in many exchanges so fast, nor on those big exchanges. What I can expect as other few coins omicron can be listed in yobit and in c-cex which are pretty good and a coin like omicron can succeed. |

I use btc as an investment. So, when I see that the btc price increase makes it worth to sell, I sell my btc and make some money with it. In my country, not so many shops accept btc as a currency, that's why I do not use it for this purpose.
This isn't a big deal mate. in most of areas bitcoin is not acceptable in publicly. but people still use bitcoin as a currency. Anyway. I also use bitcoin as an investment, not because I can't use it as a currency but because I don't have much needs to use bitcoin as currency. so I am using it as an investment and growing my bitcoins. |

Bitcoin is a great investment but even the best investments can lose money if your timing is wrong, if you bought when bitcoin was 1000+ then even now you are still in problems if you timed your exit right you secured a good profit, so while bitcoin is in my opinion the investment of the century, you still need to use your common sense.
Absolutely you are right, in trading right time decision give you profit, otherwise the good chance never come back again, also it doesn't matter what you have coins enough or less, i am talking about the right moment, and only one moment give you profit, and if you left it so it has clear mean you should have to wait, and may be the time never come back. well with bitcoin it is not like that. this thing won't apply in bitcoin. I am saying this because what I see so far in bitcoin that is bitcoin is full of chances.. it is good that if you get benefit of first chance. but if by chance someone miss a chance it doesn't mean he should not join bitcoin anymore. he can still join bitcoin and can get enter to the bot. |

I dont hate bitcoin but i hate how people use bitcoin until it grt bad reputation, a lot of people using the anonymity feature that supposed to be use for good things turn it into bad things, like scamming other people using bitcoin so they cant be caught, buying illegal things like drugs or any thing
This is the worst thing happening with bitcoin. bitcoin it self is not a bad thing but people here treating bitcoin very badly and making it bad here. sad but true that 90% of bitcoin related sites are scam ore not paying. and some of them are dead.. and rest of 10% doing their job very well. |

Trading in bitcoin is much better than gold , where you don't need knowledge to do trade altcoin/bitcoin. As long as you have funds , and read the updates about coin , you can go with it. well yes. altcoin trading can be starting with less knowledge if you have money to invest. but knowledge is always important. specially in trading. no matter if it is altcoin trading or bitcoin to $$ trading. you always need some knowledges to become a good trader. anyway the truth is bitcoin trading is easier then gold trading. |
