Skills vs Luck *poll*

I think it's both skills and luck because if you have those two it will be easy for you to earn money. It's bad if you are just relying on luck and just doing some random pick for the coin to just find the right coin.

You have no control over Luck but you have full control on skill. So if you develop your skills, the more likely are the chances that luck will be with you. This is what i belief.

I believe skills > luck
Why ? yes if you trade on yobit new adds it is based on luck
But if it comes to more serious coin trades it is skills , learn & recognize good & bad news, read the charts , and have know how to enter / exit
The only reason you may need luck is to read the news first !

I will vote for both skills and some luck i guess its the best when your in trading, skills giving you profit from learning the move of coin your watching, luck of course needed too you'll buying newly coin trusting it even without knowing what will happen in the future of that coin if luck oa in you make more money in new coin but sometimes lost too.

Luck is just there it may come and it may go bad.
Skills have a very different definition. This could be achieved through experience or pounding everyday to make it better. It could be in a job or at home. Some people dont even have skills when applying for a job, they just realize they have that skill once they where taught. There is a really big difference.

I voted for SKILLS because for me Luck is an opportunity that you catch ONLY wehen you are ready and prepared for it... because everyone  pass through opportunities but only prepaed and concentrated people will understand that it's an opportunity and they fellow it => it's said to be luck but without skills we will feel like it's not suited for us

Yes but lucky is required because with skill you actually get the chance to do it, and when it gets that far you need luck to close the deal.
It depends on which activity though but for example in trading there it's more skill based than luck i think. Because there you can analyze and judge based on that.

I believe in luck to make everything possible but you also need skills to be able to do the right thing, so its both. we need skills and luck. and in trading its more on skills, you have to be knowledgeable to choose what is the right coin to buy with.

for me not only skill or luck both we are need for trading, skill how to know about trading and if trading is in altcoin what altcoin have good future and luck sometime we put buy order in wrong price cause to high but with luck we dont get problem cause the price up even we not prediction the price can high like that, but sometimes not only skill and luck capital is must to recover loose money from trading for another trading

40% luck and 60% skills? I think a healthy skill-luck ratio should be above ~ skills 80% and luck 20%.

Otherwise you are depending too much on the luck factor which isn't good at all when you say you're an experienced trader.

I'll go with skills. skills is most and more Important for getting success in trading. without skills and just believing your luck you can't get anything from trading. honestly trading is all about skills and knowledge. some time may luck help you also but most of time you do everything with your skills. even if the trading market down sometime you can still manage your ways if you have proper skills for trading.

This is understandable. But would skills help you in gambling against the house? And what skills? Your only skill that would matter in these circumstances (i.e. the house perpetual advantage before a player) is your ability to hack the betting system somehow to change the odds in your favor. Otherwise, you are set to lose in the long haul, without exception. It goes without saying that such cases are few and far in between, and the average Joe cannot possibly possess such a skill by definition. So, the real question should be whether trading is much different from gambling in this respect...

If it is not, then your only chance long-term is luck, but a long-term luck is in fact luck squared

Skill and luck they both matter alot actually. There's always luck involved and always skill involved but the thing is if you have skill you higher your chances. If you only depend on luck then alot of times things will go wrong. With skill you will be more consistent then just luck.

Both would be required to gain success on a certain thing like on trading but same as you said that you cant rely on luck only but you would need a skill to sustain on your trading career or any other industry. Skills would surely lead you  on positive result but  luck is somewhat needed too.

agree with you and I will like to add that luck often favor those people who work hard for any destination to achieve that, so if any person will increase his skills and will struggle hard then there is no any chance that he will lose.

We are (mostly) all here to learn and expand our skills and knowledge about how to trade bitcoins or any other altcoin so the more knowledge we have the closer we are from the profit, but the luck has it's own efficiency which sometimes helps us a lot even though we didn't know that bitcoin price will increase or something like that.

yes i have full belief on luck that luck is essential thing for your success and without luck you can not achieve any goal, but to make your luck more effective you also need skill so i will vote for both luck and skill.

You are right, we can see around us people often point out some people as more lucky and when we observe the life of that lucky people then we find that these people are the more hard working people and the obey the life rule very strictly, so hard work with skills bring luck.

I think that luck i more useful then skill since we won't know what the price of whatever you are trading in the future. If I was  trader, I'd like it the way it is right now because there would be room to get a high amount of profit(or loss), but I wouldn't mind a stable price s well, to prevent me from losing too much money.

In  real life , those people who really work hard does have the right to be luck not only to those people  who really depend fully on being lucky which is  not a good thing to do. Hard work plus luck would bring you succesful things compare to those  people  who rely on pure luck without  work they would surely experience it temporarily. If we saw that we are lucky we should take advantage of it.
