621  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Safety first? on: November 28, 2017, 07:34:28 AM
I wouldn't trust windows with services and accounts that are important to you because of all the possible malware.
However if you meant password vault, i can recommend Lastpass because your passwords are synced to their service and you don't have to worry about backups. The password vault of yours is stored encrypted on their servers, so in case of data breach the person won't get access to your passwords in case you actually have a decent password. If you can afford to put some money into your security, you can buy Yubikey 4 for OTP authentication which is really secure. Yubikey uses smartcard so it's pretty much "hacker proof" as you may call it. Alternatively you can use Google Auhtenticator, Authy and so on for 2FA codes. If you wish to try Lastpass, let me know and i'll send you a invite link in PM so we both get 1 month of free premium. The premium version only costs 12$ a year so i guess it's pretty affordable Smiley

Poloniex still support Legacy account created in the past with 2000usd per day.

Bittrex locked out all legacy accounts by modifying their state to 'new' without notifying the users they will do so.
Not sure how they will handle it but to come back from this fiasco they would need to put all new accounts as 'basic' to let people withdraw their money, otherwise this will end in court.

This is actually correct. Since they are based in USA, they are reachable for sure and that will most likely be the end of their exchange if they don't notify people and let them take their money.
I believe that doing this would be crime also in USA, and could end on huge fines and possible prison time. It's sad to see big exchanges like bittrex that used to be good, to turn this way and peeing on the eye of their customers.
Oh well, gladly we have already decentralized exchanges which most likely will become a standard.

No one will  rent your signature space for some reasons, and i will list a few to you below:

1. You're a newbie. There is a tons of member accounts on this forum and you probably won't get more than 0.01$  per post even if you did get hired.
2. Your posts look really spammy. Alot of one liners, without any actual content contributing nothing to the discussion.

Sorry if this sounds brutal, but better to be honest. Signature campaigns are not a job, they are more of a reward for contributing to the forum while advertising someone/something.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my Stratis coins transfering on Ledger nano S - Newbie on: November 27, 2017, 03:28:04 PM
Thanks for the suggestion. I have other coins on my ledger, will a application data reset affect them too?

It should affect them as well, however im not 100% sure about it. I assume you have copy of your seed right?
It resets all of the application data on the computer so every coin will be resynced. Nothing should happen to the Nano S but it's always good to have backups in case something actually goes wrong with the process.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my Stratis coins transfering on Ledger nano S - Newbie on: November 27, 2017, 12:38:55 PM
Hello there! I have used ledger wallet by myself, not with nano S tho. There should be a part where you can resync the blockchain under options -> tools -> reset application data or something similar.
Im not sure if nano S has that option, but you should check anyway. Please do that and report back, so if that does not work we will try some other methods.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP] Vertnite - Dream, Plan, Manifest [AIRDROP PHASE 2 ACTIVE] on: November 26, 2017, 08:56:33 PM
Is it possible to signup for the airdrop without twitter account?
I can fill every other requirement apart from that.
627  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] -- Bitcointalkaccount on: November 26, 2017, 08:06:11 PM
1. Wrong section of the forum, try to find the right one next time (it is not too hard).
2. Your're looking to buy an account, which is a very shady behavior.  Cannot you post for 30 days for a Jr. Member account? I do not believe you should be here if you are not willing to spend that time for the community.
628  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit v0.5 transaction not being confirmed HELP will pay you! on: November 26, 2017, 07:52:01 PM
Hello guys,
I just found that I have some amount of BTC in my old Multibit wallet on my old laptop. I decided to send those to my blockchain wallet and the transaction did not pass. I put $4.5 as transaction fee and the wallet is just showing that it is seend by one peer and a square next to the transaction, when I check the transaction details on blockexplorer and blockchain it is saying transaction not found.
Any idea how I can fix that? I hope my btc is not lost as the wallet is very old (2013). When should I try reseting the transaction in the wallet? Should I wait until tomorrow and leave it for now or I can safely reset the wallet? Any suggestions I am willing to tip you guys!
Thanks!

Hello! I can help you out. Multibit is currently discontinued project and will probably stay like that.
My suggestion would be to download Electrum bitcoin wallet and then import the private key to it.
Im not sure how this process happens however from the multibit side, because i use linux and i cannot find any installers currently for it.
Let me know if you need more help, and i'd be more than happy to help you out Smiley
629  Economy / Services / Re: How to make your own exchange within an hour on: November 26, 2017, 07:43:31 PM
Is this a legit exchange? as the one who post this have a negative trust. Hard to believe with that

Guys, the only reason that we had negative feedback is that our previous campaign-manager left negative feedback to Yahoo as a personal vendetta, and the latter left us negative feedback in return.
Anyways, it's all sorted now, thanks for caring.

I like your exchange very much. I have risked around 100$ with you (not much but still).
They are legit, and their support works. However im sad that it's under maintance currently and BTC or ETH isn't available.
I hope that you can open it ASAP and on future notify on your website or something, because it is really unclear to find out what's going on if not asked from the support.
630  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitwala - Pay Your Bills With Bitcoin in Europe on: November 26, 2017, 05:19:28 PM
Their card service is good but they do things manually...

for example when i top up on sunday night, i have to wait until monday for funds to be available.. doesn't happen with other services.

They don't do it manually, however bitwala is really bad if something goes wrong with the card load. That means waiting of from days to weeks, since there is not refund button or anything available.
I wish that they did have live support available 24/7 for such situations, because i do not think that you can be taken seriously by the mainstream with so many problems.
Im not sure if their bank is the cause for the failed card loads or what, but i hope that they can improve.
631  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitwala - Pay Your Bills With Bitcoin in Europe on: November 26, 2017, 04:19:57 PM
Hi, I have a question that I can't find answered in the faq or website: what is max amount that can be paid with Sepa transfer? Thanks

If you did a little bit of googling, you would have found Limits and Verification Levels within seconds.
Those limits apply to the SEPA transfers too i suppose. Level 2 verification is enough for the most users for sure.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP] BitAlpha - 1st airdrop on: November 26, 2017, 04:17:07 PM
The sad thing about most of airdrops is that you need twitter account, which i personally do not want to make because i dislike twitter as a company.
I think that you are losing many potential people who would want to join the airdrop because of the twitter limitation. I hope that you could possibly remove that and allow us (who hate or do not use twitter) to your airdrop  Undecided
633  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cheapest transaction fees? on: November 26, 2017, 03:32:31 PM
Not if you have a "legacy" account.

I made my account a while back, and except for my email +real name + phone number, they didn't ask for any verification.

I can withdraw up to 2000 USD a day with it.
Same goes with bittrex, but i think theirs is even unlimited.

Sadly all of my legacy accounts are locked with 2FA codes that are lost long time ago.
The transaction fee is tempting but the need for ID is pretty suspicious because many exchange do not demand that at all.
634  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cheapest transaction fees? on: November 26, 2017, 02:56:56 PM
do you mean cheapest transaction fees on withdrawal?
if so, then I think poloniex is the cheapest with 0.0001 BTC (10k sats)
most other exchangers charge minimum 0.001 BTC (100k sats)
if you're transferring between exchanger you can do via doge to save on fees

Poloniex requires you to verify your ID, and they have been doing some pretty shady stuff recently, so i wouldn't trust them too much to be honest.
I'd like to know a exchange which won't require your ID to withdraw, because that is pretty much against the whole nature of crypto.

636  Economy / Exchanges / Cheapest transaction fees? on: November 26, 2017, 01:28:20 PM
Does anyone know, that which exchange offers the lowest transaction fees. So far i only know hitbtc, which has 0.0004BTC transaction fees which still are pretty high considering that you cannot actually setup some certain fees on your own. Nexchange.io allows free tx fees, but currently they exchanging site is down. I appreciate the help.
637  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for honest People to help build a new coin on: November 26, 2017, 01:18:46 PM
Would like to join the project if you got more information.
I have experiences from creating pools, block explorers, IRC channels and such already so i think that i would be perfect for your project.
Please shoot me with a PM and we can discuss about the project.

Kind Regards.
638  Economy / Services / Re: [FOR HIRE] Block explorers, Pools, IRC servers/channels, Others on: November 26, 2017, 09:28:19 AM
Got any links to block explorers you’ve setup?

Sadly not, i have worked with Ethereum project's script and Iquidus block explorer script. I haven't done any huge changes to the frontend of the scripts, so i provide mostly just a service of setting up the coin daemon and the backend of the scripts to work functionally together.

Has there been some kind of update to the network, because when i open my wallet, i get the following message: "Warning: Unknown block versions being mined! It's possible unknown rules are in effect".
Someone mentioned segwit activation before, but i haven't seen any commits into your github.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC recover working VM for windows 7 64bit on: November 26, 2017, 07:58:15 AM
Isn't that super easy to install tho? Also is this a cracked windows or non-activated fresh iso? Cracked software is heavily discouraged on the forum. Why not just write a guide how to install, because isos like this are always shady and might contain malware that steals ur data or so on. Not saying yours does, but you get my point.
