I had a small deposit this afternoon. My CAIx went from all spendable to all under stake. Is that normal?
Yes, that's your reward (stake) for having your wallet staking. It's equivalent to the reward that miners get for PoW coins. |

I see a lot of references in the announcement post about certain events occurring when the exchange from CAI > CAIx is complete. I'm assuming this means when all 1.6 million CAIx are gone on CoinSwap. My question is, what if this never happens? For example, someone forgot about their CAI in some wallet and never make the exchange.
If this turns out to be the case (which is very likely), will this prevent the switchover to CAIx on exchanges and such? Also, in the ANN post it says that mining will end on 5/18. If there is still CAIx left to be exchanged on CoinSwap will mining of CAI continue? Will there be any sort of time limit on making the switch on the coins? If that limit gets hit and there are still CAIx leftover does that mean the total supply will actually be LOWER than 1.6 million?
I think that they will put 1.6 million CAIx on coinswap, people will exchange their CAI for CAIx 1:1, if people who have forgoten about coins they have mined then they will be out of luck as people will be mining CAI right up until the point that the last CAIx has been traded from Coin Swap, anyone with CAI after that will be sad. I would agree with you, as that method totally makes sense. But this section from the ANN makes me wonder if that won't actually be the case. Mining of CAIx in PoS will start today 8 hours after release.
Mining of CAI will cease sometime around 5/18/2014.
The only way to obtain CAIx is by mining CAI and changing to CAIx on Coinswap.
Or purchase CAI from the following Exchanges and changeing to CAIx on CoinSwap.
If the 5/18 date was listed just as an estimation of when enough CAI will have been mined to convert all of the CAIx then that would make sense also. Either way is fine, just looking for some certainty. I need to know if I need to start looking for a new coin to mine, or if I can mine CAI till the CAIx runs dry. i agree need to find something new to mine once this is up since we wont be able to  .... i just dont undertand how will new coins be generated if no miners You will be able to mine the new coins with your existing coins. Just leave CAIx in wallet and it will generate new Caix blocks. Where will we be able to trade CAIx? Will exchanges that already have CAI automatically add CAIx? |

Coinkite is an effort to push crypto's forward (towards merchants and the general public). Blackcoin uses Coinkite. If Coinkite succeeds, Blackcoin will be pushed forward. That's sorta how I see it.  Seriously though, can't we all work together for the common good of BlackCoin and for all of us who believe in this coin? I don't always agree with Iconic (I'm not an aggressive-aggressive personality like him) but the amount of stupid, silly attacks at him is ridiculous in this thread - I'm talking about the multiple postings of his community ad announcement. Isn't it much more likely that those were copy cat posts by other people, than a repeat by someone who actually delivered the press release and who has developed the BlackCoin cards and the software on them. Please don't let me start on the fools saying those things are scams because there is a $1 card usb somewhere. Those who tow this line of attack are really revealing their true selves. IE, I get that you're aggressive-aggressive, and I appreciate what you've done for BlackCoin, but perhaps you could also be supportive of the foundation's efforts. I get that you don't believe that the PR company isn't the best way to spend those funds, but perhaps it'll have a greater chance of success if it wasn't publicly talked down? |

If you are worried about Cinni's code, worry not - rat4 (dev of BC) assisted with it! Cinni has only 15m coins, no premine, no ipo... and its about 1000% undervalued right now. Great/growing community with a transparent/active Dev team, and many projects in the works. This will be the next coin to take off similar to how BC did. I am invested in both. Hi guys.. been lurking for awhile now. Fairly new to this crypto thing so bare with me. I feel that the mobile phone apps are the best way for BC to gain traction and expand amongst the greatest population. Nearly everyone in this day and age has a smart phone. Do you guys know the app Venmo? (If not: https://venmo.com/). It's an app that allows you to connect to your bank account and make and receive payments from friends. For example.. If I'm out getting dinner with friends and someone spots me, I can easily pay the person automatically through the app. It actually works like a charm. One of the coolest things about this app is that it allows you to store money you have recieved from your friends on the in-app wallet. This money can be left in your Venmo account to pay back others later, which makes it more convenient than having a lot of bank account transactions. These account transactions take a FULL day, at least, to complete. If someone was able to design an app where we could easily pay our friends with Blackcoin (e.g: "wanna split this case of beer" or "hey, lets split the gas on this road trip") and it was to be paid directly to our wallets I think we would have a potential product that could really catch fire. Especially amongst the younger, college generation. It's super convenient, and still takes out the bank as the middle man!! Maybe there is some reason why this would not be capable with the way Blackcoin or other cryptos were made... I will admit I have little knowledge of the inter-workings of cryptos. Blackcoin needs something like this to get on the map. The younger population (the future) would find a lot of value in a service like this. I can use the coins my cellphone mined to purchase BC!
what..cellphone...mined? I use my phone to mine BitBars @ a rate of almost $15.00 a coin.. I mine just enough to be able to sell the BitBars and purchase BC with it  I love BitBars equally as I do with BC. bitbars is scrypt? and that cell, how much hash does that get you and don't you need to recharge it every 2 hours and keep it out of the sun so it doesn't overheat? I've seen an app for mining on Android, even tried it once on A HTC one. but it make the phone real hot and mines like at 1.5KH/s lol I'd post a pic but it aint working.. I have a HTC one as well.. Mine is at 3-10KH/s.. One thing about me I'm a patient person. I let my phone do it's work and I sit back..This isn't my main phone either. It has a broken screen lol. I turn off all the syncing and everything and keep it by my window away from the sun. It's cold in Chicago so it helps the phone. I ve purchased just last night 20 coins with whatever I mined off BitBar. BitBar= $14.xx a coin and BC= .11 CENTS.. Doesn't take much coins to purchase BC's  DuckDuckCoin is also good.
