They sold ~ 60 million ether at the pre sale.
At ~$3 / ether as the current best guess (ethercoin price), that would be $180 mil market cap.
There is not going to be 180 million waiting to buy when they launch, and many many people will dump their coins when it does launch.
I'm sure the price will drop at launch, but for those that hang in there.. it could be the one that goes 1:1 with BTC. Or 1/3:1 as there are already 3 times more ether than the total BTC supply. The price of ETC in no way reflects the price of ether. ETC is an altcoin with supply 1 million coins that has been pumped and will undoubtedly be dumped hard when ethereum launches. If you're expecting anything near $3 for your ether you will be sadly mistaken. In fact, I would not be surprised to see ether fall below crowdsale prices soon after launch. In the years to come, if ethereum fulfills its lofty vision, maybe you'll see $3 per coin, but you won't see anything close to that on launch. |

Makes perfect sense to me. Maybe, but that strategy also creates a lot of bagholders, aka resistance levels for any future pumps. What's the ROI looking like for a masternode? I think people had masternodes up from yesterday - what's your experience been? |

Yea I know who you're talking about but I don't see the connection. I made some money on the HAL pump but I'm still bagholding UTIL lol. What is his involvement here? There hasn't been nearly enough trade volume for him to have made much of an entry yet.
I don't know why you assume he makes entries in coins like this one through the market. I always thought his entries on coins like this are during PoW |

This seems very interesting to me...impressive team of backers.
I have a question - will the Neucoins held at launch by time founders and foundation be staked?
I just ask because one of the features of this project is the high PoS reward to benefit early adopters, but it seems to me the founders and foundations will benefit quite a lot as well with this high PoS reward.

2-Did you talk to an exchange to get coin listed ?
If the minimum is 10-20 bitcoins I'll get in now :p but they wanted 225 and are at 7.8 currently, so I get the feeling there will be a refund and another offering. Maybe a lot will pour in during the last 5 hours, but would they even be happy with 20 bitcoins? Doesn't seem so. There will be a one week extension I believe. Minimum I believe is ~40btc The dev said that? No, I'm just making things up. unofficially that is what he told me. Thanks..well he was optimistic earlier today that the required amount would be raised, so hopefully it will move forward. |

Why do people expect the wallet to sync?
The coin hasnt launched yet. Id expect it to sync after ICO has finished and coins have been distributed...not now. Id think that there would be a new wallet when coins are released.
Because not everybody is familiar with ICO coins before launch? Does that answer your question? Ah ok...no problem..should have realised some people havent participated in an ICO like this before. |

Does the op say 1.618% stake or 1618%?
1618% (~4.4% daily) Sorry if this is a stupid question, but isn't it going to inflate the currency to the point of worthlessness? Maybe in the long run..in a year if all coins staked there'd be almost 20m coins but.... 1) Not everyone will stake 2) Who cares about the long run? (Only half kidding here). A fix could be to do what SYNC did and gradually reduce stake over time, but thats a problem for the long run  |
