4041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Scalability on: December 15, 2019, 10:14:15 PM
Hello guys,

I have just one  question. I am collecting some information about Bitcoin Scalability for my school work. Can please someboy write me all methods which are considered as Bitcoin scalability solutions ? when I try to google it everything what I found is:
- Hard Fork - change block size
- Lightning Network
- Sharding

Is there any other methods which might solve the bitcoin scalability problem ?

Thank you.

With the first two methods you will have material to create a nice work for your school, just find information about how those options fight against the Scalability...

*Bigger blocks mean more transactions inside each block but a bigger blonchain in the long run.
*Lightning Network is a little more complex, but it opens payment channels, and it cost only one transaction to open the channel and another to close it.
4042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Cryptocurrency is inevitable" says Indian Parliament member Dr. Swami on: December 15, 2019, 10:09:46 PM
Indian Parliament member Dr. Subramanian Swamy has shared his view on cryptocurrency. Advocating for India to make the transition to crypto, he reportedly said, “cryptocurrency is inevitable.” The lawmaker will chair a conference at the UN India’s headquarters next week where issues surrounding cryptocurrency in the country will be discussed.

Read more Here

This is fun, some months ago India was trying to proof a law to send all the people who uses bitcoin to jail for 10 years. And now they say cryptos are inevitable? lol.

i will leave the source here: https://www.coindesk.com/indian-panel-proposes-ban-and-jail-time-for-cryptocurrency-use
4043  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Hydra, mayor mercado negro Ruso se expande. on: December 15, 2019, 03:34:35 PM

4045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can be done to stop loss sending to wrong bitcoin address on: December 12, 2019, 07:55:01 PM
I think is responsibility of the people to verify they are sending the coins to the right address. I know tons of coins have been lost this way, but even if you create the more secure system people could still failing with a simple copy-paste.

The good news is that every time a user send btc to the wrong addy, he learn the leason and he will not that mistake again.

I think governments already know this overpopulation problem, and that's why tobacco still legal.  Tongue

When the world gets overpopulated there will be a problem with food and water, and that will be enough to start a war. So, the solution will come at the right time.
4047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: December 11, 2019, 05:41:43 AM
Can you involve money for you to stop gambling or a gambler can really stop after he promises that if he wins this jackpot he will stop?
This is for the big-time gambler or those who gamble habitually or even those who have the urge to gamble when they have available money.

This is the smart way to gamble, when people gamble without a goal they will stop when they get busted.

When i sit on a poker table or when i start playing slots i always have a goal in my mind, if i get the goal then it is time to stop.
4048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider gambling to be a "fun activity"? on: December 11, 2019, 05:38:41 AM
To lose money isn't fun at all, but people doesn't always lose in gambling. I have seen a lot of people leaving the casinos with big profit and a smile on their faces, Looks like they really have fun at that time.

Maybe you should chase a jackpot and if you get a big win you will have fun.
4049  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoin is enough? on: December 11, 2019, 01:20:30 AM
I would say 21 is a big number, i mean only 1 million users could have that amount, and now days we see more people than that involved in cryptos. Maybe 1 bitcoin is a good amount to hold in the long term, no one know what the value will be in 50 or 100 years, but for sure will be a crazy amount of money.
4051  Other / Off-topic / Re: The most reliable way of investing in 2020 on: December 10, 2019, 10:11:12 PM
Cryptos could a good way if you choose a PoS coin. Some staking coins gives close to 1% in 10 days. Or you can choose more secure coins like ETH (After the PoS fork) who will pay almost 5% annually.

Holds coins like bitcoin is a bet, maybe could be a nice investment if you are ready to hold more than 5 years.
4052  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [BET] Trump or not Trump 2020, eddie13 vs suchmoon on: December 10, 2019, 09:47:40 PM
...

You've got it backwards. (I think)

Nitrogen is offering 2.125x (+115) On Trump

Eddie took 2.0x with Suchmoon (+100) On Trump

Quote
suchmoon agrees to pay 0.1 BTC to eddie13 if Donald J Trump wins the 2020 US presidential election

You are right, if suchmoon place a bet on DT to win 0.2125BTC if he loses the bet he will win 0.0125, and if he win the bet then he will end with cero No win and no lose. It is the chance to win 0.0125 with zero risks. But maybe such a small prize doesn't deserve the move.

Small risk brings small prices. And we could be sure suchmoon and eddie13 will go big or go home  Grin
4053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of the current status of Bitcoin? on: December 10, 2019, 09:15:38 PM
When you talk about the current status of Bitcoin you can see it from two different points of view:

The economic status: Bitcoin still high nowadays, and the current price brings big speculation, It is hard to predict if it will go up or down. But right now i would say it has a nice price.

The technology status: Right now Bitcoin is in version 0.19.0.1, se we have seen some nice steps in the bitcoin coding this year. So, this side is looking good too.
4054  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [BET] Trump or not Trump 2020, eddie13 vs suchmoon on: December 10, 2019, 08:58:01 PM
Crazy bet my friend suchmoon, I remember when casinos offer x5 if trump wins the elections, in that moment i place a bet and people were crazy saying i was wating my money. But it has a happy end.

The problem with this bet is the odds, as you can see in nitro if donal trumps win the house pays x2.125

https://nitrogensports.eu/sport/specials/u.s.-presidential-election

This way if eddie13 places a bet on that site he could warrants a win. If trump wins he get 0.0125 and if trump loses he gets zero but he doesn't lose the risked 0.1

4056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin First Billionaire: Winklevoss Twins on: December 10, 2019, 05:41:35 PM
...
Who hold more Bitcoin, the Winklevoss twins or someone else?
...
While Winklevoss Twins holds 100,000 BTC satoshi Nakamoto holds 1M BTC, that means Satoshi is 10 times more rich than Winklevoss Twins

Does anyone know who the other bitcoin whales are?

Some whales are earlier adopters, people que get the coins when they cost less than 1 dollar. Search for some information about the topic and you will find some whales.
4057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sale my old bike and buy bitcoin, what do you think? on: December 10, 2019, 05:35:58 PM
For sure it was a smart move buddy, and for sure you will see a big profit in 2020 from that investment. Just think about the guy who delivers 2 pizzas for 10,000 btc. after some years the amount of money for those pizzas is nuts. If you can hold what you get for the bike in the next 5 years, there will be a nice profit.
4058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: please help me about bitcoin atm! SCAM or No on: December 10, 2019, 03:25:46 PM
hi guys
one of my friends want to send me 30000$ bitcoin from america california with easybit bitcoin atm
but he  says you should send 700$ to atm bitcoin wallet to confirm transaction!
is there anything like this in usa ?
also he says i send money to atm and it is pending for your 700$ verification from your distance wallet
he says just in usa atm machins needs this verification
is he lier or not ?

This is a scam for sure, you will only lise those $700 and you will never see the $30k. Thos service to ask you for money to make a withdrawal always ends with the service running out with your Money.

If he wants $700 to send you $30k why he doesn't take the $700 from the $30k?

And one last question, if he wants to send you $30k, why he wants to use an ATM? he can send that in BTC to your addy and let you exchange the money in your country.

This is a trap my friend, be careful.
4059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypt is now legal in Ukraine on: December 10, 2019, 03:21:31 PM
Is a nice step for Ukraine and for the cryptos. Is nice to see a country supporting cryptos a letting their civilians to use them with freedom. I'm waiting for my country to do the same, but it will take some time for México to see the light. We already have the fintech law, but it was made for big companies and not for simple humans. So, we need more laws about the topic.
4060  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: E.E.U.U no emitirá dólar digital en 5 años. on: December 10, 2019, 05:15:35 AM
