3421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Top-10 miners on bitcoin network over years (2009 - May 2020) on: May 13, 2020, 01:58:48 PM
This is a clickbait! I was thinking we should see a nice list of the Hardware Miners, maybe the old ButterflyLabs was the last on the list, but you were talking about the mining pools  Grin Maybe you can change the title to that 'Top 10 Mining Pools'.

And the information displayed is good, it is fun to see how the network gets close to a centralized system with time, in the long run, if 3 pools make team they will have a huge weigh for the bitcoin desitions.
3422  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Las 13 reglas del inversor en Bitcoin y criptomonedas on: May 13, 2020, 04:40:23 AM
...

3423  Economy / Services / Re: Decentralized domains for sale | .zil + .crypto on: May 13, 2020, 04:32:32 AM
Still for sale, feel free to leave bid on OpenSea for .crypto doms.

I just take a look to https://unstoppabledomains.com/ and search a couple of your crypto domains there, but the OpenSea don't have them listed for sale as you can see in the next link:

https://unstoppabledomains.com/search?searchTerm=dividends&searchRef=home

Maybe list them for sale in OpenSea is a nice step to sell them.

3425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too early to say that the Hashrate has not been impacted by halving? on: May 13, 2020, 03:06:08 AM
We are only a few hours off 24 hours from change and average hash rate still above the difficulty:
http://bitcoin.sipa.be/speed-lin-2k.png

Surprised that so few miners decided to turn off.

Or is it just that they are so old they contributed so little hash rate that made no measurable difference.

Which is good news! As means Bitcoin has remained as secure as it was yesterday.

I have the same feeling, i was expecting a massive drop down on the hash rate, from what i was thinking lot of miners would start working without profit and the best option should be to turn them down, but as we can see the change wasn't that big, i think we will have to wait one month and after that see if there is a real impact.

And I just watch a Live x9999 right now!

Kolloh was the lucky user this time. It was with 1150sat for 114.977 mBTC profit... Big win for a small bet right? That's how to get on the profit side. Some x333 on the way was just more full to get the shot. So, congrats to the lucky user.

ffff

Congratulation to di3el x9999
fffffffffff

That x9999 is awesome and is crazy to see how multiple users are getting that nowadays. It looks hard and it could take some bets, but when you get it the payout is the moon.

Luckybit is the only bitcoin Plinko game with that high multiplier, so, don't miss the chace to get it, I already get mine!
3428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that number of miners will decrease for a while? on: May 12, 2020, 03:09:52 PM
...
If you check in the past, the miners were running the machines when the price was around $200 and the general price of things, especially the hardware and electricity has not increased considerably in the past 5 years and now the price of bitcoin is over $8800, so you can compare that and come to a conclusion. The small mining farms might have a difficult time maintaining everything because of the rise in difficulty but the big farms will always sustain.

Not only the small farms will be affected on this halving, but we can also say the miners will get the half of the reward while the energy cost is the same, this factor will make a lot of miners inefficient, and it will be cheaper to turn them off than pay from your pocket the maintenance cost.
3429  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can Central Bank Digital Currencies Protect Individual Privacy? on: May 12, 2020, 04:36:17 AM
I don't think they will because, they are centralized systems and they need a KYC system to avoid money laundering. So, maybe they could have a secure system to avoid hackers getting the data, but if someday the FBI comes with an order to get access to that data, there is not much about they can do to protect individual privacy.
3430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Halving! on: May 12, 2020, 12:57:10 AM
Woo. I've been watching a lot of live streams for this halving. This means a lot and it's not like this with the last halving, a lot of people have waited for that block to be mined.

Special mention to AntPool for mining that 630000 historical block and to F2Pool for the 629999 block.

Happy BTC halving.

My prediction was true, AntPool gets the block...

Happy halving for all, remember now is harder to get new Bitcoins so, use them wisely and hold all you can, because bitcoin's future only has one way.

Let's hope fees don't go high to the moon.
3431  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin halving's 3 possible scenarios. on: May 11, 2020, 04:57:11 PM
... hence some miners might need to turn off their machines.

I like the 3 scenarios you share with us, i mean any of them are possible, but i think we should focus more on this point because i think we will see a big number of miners turning off after the halving. I'm not sure how will that affect the price, but if those mining farms sell their bitcoin that will be a massive dump.

3433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pure btc speculation post on: May 11, 2020, 04:29:22 PM
So guys, im not sure if today btc is going to pump, stable or dump
What do you guess and why?

I guess this halving gonna be diferent, cause lot of people is knowing about it has stabilised on near 9k usd,  and wall street whales speak about btc. So i can also see a 3billion mcap grow...i gues 10.000 tonight. And you?

First of all, this post belongs to Speculation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0

And i not agree with you, stabilized near to 9k? There is not a stable factor in bitcoin, It will always move, up or down but it will move. If you see the past mage bumps weren't right on the halving, so, if there will be one of those, I don't think it will happen today.

Thanks for the explanation, I didn't know.
Then Luckybit would already have some experience (also regarding the estimation of costs vs. benefits) and the promotion could be implemented easily and quickly.

I see it similar to you, a physical Bitcoin as a win would be an immense pull factor and would definitely not go unnoticed in the gambling community.

Luckybit used to give physical coins on the twitter campaign too, I was one of the lucky winners on that campaign and get my rose-gold LB coin.

Beautiful design.
3435  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Real or fake? on: May 11, 2020, 03:23:19 PM
This is Fake, the trick is in the 1 chance they give, that way, people make a small depo and then try to go big, or call their friends to do it. Bit amounts will be lost, that's a fact. So, the best thing to do is stay away from that kind of offer.

People should understand money doesn't grow in trees, if it looks like easy money, then it's 99% fake.
3436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2 Bitcoin price questions on: May 10, 2020, 03:25:38 PM
Oh thank you. Yes I just saw the text below price in google. So, in 2017 there were many people that got rid of their bitcoins? That's why cryptocurrency crashed in 2018.

In 2017 bitcoin went from $800 to $20,000... and in 2018 went down to $3500. If the price goes down that means people is selling their BTC, if the price goes up then it means people are spending cash in the cryptomarkets, so, yeah, that could explain the crash, for people who buy at $800 sell them even at $2000 represents more than 100% of the profit.
3437  Economy / Gambling / Re: "The strangest dice game yet somehow fascinating" ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT on: May 10, 2020, 04:01:59 AM

My idea is adding up some consecutive numbers of our multipliers we got in plinko until the total is, let's say 10. No matter how many consecutive bets you gonna add, maybe 9 bets, 6 bets, or 13 bets, as long as the total must be exactly 10.

E.g
Bet 1 = Multiplier x1.2
Bet 2 = x2
Bet 3 = x1.4
Bet 4 = x0.2
Bet 5 = x2
Bet 6 = x3
Bet 7 = x0.5

The total multiplier I got is 1.2 + 2 + 1.4 + 0.2 + 2 + 3 + 0.5 = 10.3 (not 10) so I failed and I have to repeat or continue the number until I get 10 in total.

I like the idea, isn't bad at all, but i think a multipliers chase could work better, something like "The first users who get x2, x4, x9, and x24 get a prize..." Is just an idea, but let's see what new surprises LB has for us soon!
3438  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to buy bitcoins on: May 09, 2020, 05:22:59 PM
Hi,

I would like to buy bitcoins, is it the right time or should I wait further? Also suggest me how and where to buy this.

Thanks.

Any time is a good time to buy them if you are thinking about hold those coins for a long time. If you see the Price all this year, it has been under 10k, so, right now is close to the max price, that should be a signal to wait and not buy now, but since the halving will happen really soon, then crazy things could happen in the market. That's why this shouldn't be the best time, but it is a chance to hit the moon.
3439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when will the alts season come? on: May 09, 2020, 05:19:16 PM
Usually altcoin market follows the bitcoin. After bitcoin having a great bull run, a lot of money will pour in the economy and some of them will later pour into altcoin market. So, I think we are far away from that now.

This is right, is a kind of pattern there, first we see bitcoin on the bump while altcoins crash, then when bitcoin goes down the alts bump. It doesn't always happen like this but most of the times it does, Yesterday we see it clearly.

So, the alts season (If something like that really exists), should come with the next btc bump.
